The character's name is Lili von Karma; eldest daughter of Manfred von Karma. More under the cut.

Lili's six years older than Franziska (and about two years younger than Edgeworth), she's got the sharp von Karma features but they're softened because she's plus-sized; she's got the blue hair but wears it in an Anime Mom Ponytail.

Lili's a single mom-- her (shitty!) husband got murdered, as one does when one's a background character in Ace Attorney-- and she's raising her daughter, Anna, pretty much alone. She's the sous-chef at the Gatewater Hotel; her dream is to run her own restaurant someday. She's probably dyslexic, but never diagnosed with anything-- reading gives her a headache. She has a really bad short-term memory and gets distracted easily, unless she's cooking, in which case her head goes down and the Pursuit Theme plays.

She's been a defendant in one of Phoenix's offscreen cases-- see: the whole "husband murder" thing-- and keeps getting roped in to serve as a witness in others. She jokes that you can set your watch by 'Dogboy' coming in with another ridiculous case.

And yes, she exists to solve the ~inconsistency~ where Manfred von Karma mentions he has a seven-year-old granddaughter who has a dog named Phoenix/Ryu! It's not an inconsistency in the sense that there's no space in the timeline for MVK to have other kids, it's just Early Installment Weirdness. Franziska never mentions her ~other sibling~ or her niece again, afaik, and the devs can't even agree whether the sibling is a boy or a girl.

And of course, Lili has daddy issues. So many daddy issues. She is a von Karma, after all.

...Now, I differ from most of the fandom in that I think MVK is a solidly B+ dad. Dude's a perfectionist and is very concerned with being a Good Person By Society's Lights. He would at least make an effort to look like a good father, even with Miles, and to some extent, that translates to being a decent father.

(Would he absolutely screw his kids up? Oh, totally. He's not a good man, and it leaks into his parenting. Every single von Karmlet has a crippling case of The Perfectionism, needs therapy, and is not getting it with a Celebrity Prosecutor/sous-chef's busy schedule. But I don't think he's intentionally cruel.)

That being said... Franziska is 100% his favourite. His bio-daughter who's a legal prodigy gets more time and energy and affection than his ward who's his arch-rival's son. And both of the kids that he can groom into Following His Legacy and becoming Monster Prosecutors? They get more time and energy and attention than the kid who can't sit down with a legal book without her eyes crossing and her head starting to ache.

I think that in this universe, Mrs. Von Karma also died pretty young- probably shortly after Franziska was born, honestly- so Lili did a lot of Mom Stuff for Franziska, and was walking a really weird line between being the Eldest Daughter and being The Least Favourite Kid.

So, yeah, that.... had some effects.

Anyway, yeah, she needs more fleshing out, but that's Lili.

Her name is Monica Von Karma, she was a detective before marrying Manfred.
