Author Summary: Tired of recovery from his brain trauma not going fast enough, Fitz decides to take an extended leave of vacation from SHIELD to go home and see his mother. But when it turns out that spending all his days with his mother doesn't really help either, he goes for a drive and his car ends up breaking down next to the cutest coffee shop and guest house in Perthshire. So he thinks maybe a change of scenery would do him some good and it only has a little to do with the muffin baking angel of a woman managing the place.

Set around the beginning of season two except Jemma didn't join SHIELD.

Why I Love It: I waited until Sabrina finished this fic before picking it up, which meant I could binge this delightful fic in one go-- and boy was it worth the wait! While Coffee Shop AUs are are a popular trope/setting for a reason, this one is SO unique because it is still set in universe, which I love! Seeing how the ripple caused by Jemma not joining SHIELD plays out is so interesting, as is the universe course correcting to bring them together. Because obviously, Fitzsimmons are meant to be in any timeline!

Why I Love It: A good trope will get me every time and Fake Dating is no exception. I love the setting and cameos by MCU faves :) Really, this is just an adorable bit of fluff that made me smile!

Author Summary: Fitz and Jemma have time to make a plan to save the team. But their choices have a cost. Post-season 6 with a happy ending.

Why I Love It: Does this definitely count as a missing moment? I’m not sure-- but I don’t really care. It’s a really great coda to the S6 finale and fills the gap between when we see Fitzsimmons together last and Jemma arriving from the future, so I’m counting it. I love it so much and would love a similar type of happy ending for Fitzsimmons in season 7!

Why I Love It: This fic combines two of my favorite things Fitzsimmons and travel! Three, if you count an an abundance of tropes (fake dating and bed sharing, anyone?!). All of Steph’s fics are wonderful but I particularly loved this one because I had been to a bunch of these cities and it was a wonderful trip down memory lane for me, with bonus Fitzsimmons. If you haven’t checked this fic out yet, you’re in for a treat because this epic fic is now COMPLETE, so you can read it all in one go! (Disclaimer: I’m not responsible for any missed sleep when you start reading this and can’t put it down!)

Why I Love It: I really enjoy historical AUs and this one is just so lovely (as you would expect from a fic by Sun!!). Titanic AUs are always wonderful, but I liked that this wasn’t a movie AU but a unique story line. Not mention, getting to watch Jemma and Bobbi fall in love is a total joy.

Why I Love It: The baked goods featured in this fic aren’t the only thing that’s sweet-- the whole thing is fluffy and heartfelt and yes, oh-so-sweet. They did an amazing job of weaving in the rest of the team, but Huntingbird is the star here and I loved watching them fall back in love. Elle & Al knocked it out of the park with this one.

Why I Love It: I love Friends to Lovers/Roommate AUs and this fic is the Ultimate(tm) combination of those tropes! It is so cute - whether you’ve watched New Girl or not (I haven’t, except for a few eps here and there). Also, I owed Maggie a Luck of the Draw to “finish something that had been eating at me” and this definitely qualified (I’ve been meaning to read this fic/make a moodboard for ages)!
