Sewoon hasn’t seen you since he was 10; he began to grow an obsession for you

he visited to beach almost everyday and play his guitar to the sea; after he would play for hours, in respect of the ocean, he would clean up the litter on the beach

he even kept a goldfish, naming after you, “how are you today y/n? are you hungry?”

his mom was worried so they both moved to the inside of the city; they didn’t want to move so far because his dad was a sailor

even after moving, Sewoon managed to visit the sea and play music at least 5 times a week

on the other hand, you were locked up in separate room from the main palace; it felt like a dungeon.. you couldn’t go out unless you were with your father

the room was trapped in a magical bubble that could only let outsiders who come in and out 

since you were in the room while the barrier was formed, you can only get help from an outsider 

even if you were to open your door or window, you wouldn’t be able to get out of them

you begged your father to let you see him again

“ALL THOSE HUMANS ARE THE SAME!! THEY TAKE AS MUCH FISH FROM THE OCEAN AS THEY WANT AND IN RETURN, WHAT DO THEY DO? THEY TRASH IT!”

ever since that they, you just re-read all the books you got from your mother and look up at the surface of the ocean through your big, bay window

your sisters could help but feel sad as you were swimming around in your room; heartbroken

they always tried to get you out but every time they asked your guys’ father; but he would always keep an eye on them by standing outside the door 

“should we plot again?” one of your sisters spoke up

“we should! dad never yells at us.. he always yells at big sister...”

they all whispered in agreement 

some of them snuck out to your room as the rest of them distracted your guys’ father

“DAD READ US A BEDTIME STORY!”

“DAD I THINK MY DRESS RIPPED”

“DAD I AM HUNGRY”

“I WANT TO EAT SHRIMP BURGER”

“I WANT FISH TACOS”

he was overwhelmed by their requests but it was like this everyday, it would take him hours to get to everyone’s request and that was with magic

the 3 eldest after you swam passed the garden and up to your room

“BIG SIS! BIG SIS!” they whispered loudly

you turned to see them swim into your room

“let’s go~ you have to see Sewoon again!!”

you got up and hugged them..”I can’t.. dad-”

“the rest of us are keeping him busy!! go now before it’s too late!!”

you nodded as they pulled you by the hands out the door

they gave you a huge shove out the door and you were able to swim up to the surface

you blew them a kiss before swimming as fast as you can

“I’ll miss you guys..” you whispered

SPLASH

you were able to resurface up to the land again

at that moment, Sewoon was walking down the side of the cliff to play music to the ocean again

“SEWOON!!” 

he looks around him, “I must becoming crazy if I can hear y/n’s voice...”

you splash up; and you accidentally headbutt him in the mouth

you fall onto his hand and his chapped lips started to bleed

“I’m sorry,,” you jumped up to kiss his lips and the bleeding stops 

you turn into a human again

hugging him tight, you felt tears hang onto the edge of your eyes

“I’ve missed you...” 

he couldn’t believe his eyes.. he thought he was dreaming... because for years, he’s waited for you, wishing that you would come back

and now you are here

in his arms

he wraps his arms over your head; the last time he hugged you, you guys were the same height

and now he was much taller than you

“me too, y/n .. me too..” 

you looked into his eyes with so much endearment

“you’re so handsome...”

he drops his head down from trying not to smile so hard

“yo-you’ve gotten even more prettier..OH YEAH!! my mom would be so happy to see you again!!”

he pulls you by the hand back up the cliff

you took one last glance at the sea and mumbled, “I’m never going back..”

little did you know, every time that you were out of the sea.. the moon would get closer to the Earth.. 

making the low tides lower and the high tides higher; this could cause massive flooding and droughts

but you didn’t know.. because your father kept it from you

because of him.. the world you escaped to.. will be swept away with the despair of ocean’s waves

“MOM I FOUND Y/N!!”

his mom doesn’t turn around, “what do you mean? she’s in the fishbowl..”

“hi Mrs. Jeong..”

she turns around and drop the towel that was in her hand

“y/n?”

“yup~ it’s me~”

she runs over to hug you; “look at you!! all grown and beautiful..”

Sewoon tugs on your hand, “I wanna show her the rooftop.. might take her to go look around the city for a bit..”

his mom nudges him, “like a date??”

Sewoon blushes and walks towards the door..”I-I’ll see you later mom!”

you were overwhelmed by how the sun shined brightly over the buildings

there was so much colors, movements and noises, you got a little dizzy

actually since you walked farther and farther away from the sea.. you’ve been feeling a little dizzy

you just pushed it off as not being used to land

“are you okay?” Sewoon tucks your hair behind your ears as he sees you constantly lowering your head and pinching between your eyebrows

“yeah.. I’m just.. a little parched..”

without another word, Sewoon bought you a “water bottle”

you never knew what “hydration” was since you always lived in the sea

“it looks like clear soup..”

he just laughs as he watches you drink it

you are surprised by how clean it tasted, “it’s not salty!!”

“water helps you stay hydrated, you start feeling dizzy if you are dehydrated..” 

“ohh..” you nodded as you drank more water, you felt a little better and continued the day with Sewoon as your tourist guide

the more you drank water, the more it flushed out Sewoon’s blood in your system

his blood is what keeps you human

“what’s this?” you point at someone making hand pulled noodles with black sauce on the side

“ah that’s jajjangmyeon; uh.. black bean noodles, do you want to try some?”

you guys had such a fun time; although it was a little hard on Sewoon

he had to wipe your mouth with every bite

on your way back home, you smelled something you’ve never smelled before.. it kinda stung your nose

“what’s that smell?”

Sewoon takes one sniff and slams his fist into the other, “mom must be making spicy rice cakes..”

what’s spicy? what’s rice cakes? regardless you were excited to try it

but when you tried it, your mouth was on fire, but it was really good

so you ate it as you were crying

Sewoon continuously wiping your mouth, gave you a glass of water, “drink this, it’ll help”

although the spiciness didn’t go away, it made your mouth less of a burning mess

night fell and you were getting drowsy

you were sitting next to Sewoon as he was playing the guitar and singing

when he was done he looks at you as you were laying on his shoulder, sleeping

he bridal carried you to the couch downstairs and tucked you in

trauma took over as he remembered waking up and seeing that you were gone

so he set up a blanket and a pillow for him to sleep on the ground.. 

and soon he fell asleep to your soft snores

CRASH

“GONE GONE SHE’S GONE!!”

your father was going hysterical

ignoring your sisters swam up to see if Sewoon’s house was still there but it was changed into a lighthouse..

“this is bad.. this is all very very bad...”

he tries to contact your mother via sending a seagull 

“let’s hope it makes it in time...”

the moon grew 10x it’s size, indicating that the tides were in play

Sewoon woke up and looks out the backyard glass door; the ground was flooded with water and the moon was literally covering the whole sky

“what in the world...”

he looks over at you and you shrunk into a size of a goldfish

“Y/N”

he puts you in a glass bowl of water and you woke up

he sighs in relief to see you alive

Sewoon carries you outside

the whole city as been flooded with water, and sea creatures were roaming out and about

“what am I suppose to do...”

he looks over at a toy sailboat

“at least I can keep you in this for now..”

he places you in the boat and lights the candle inside to keep the boat moving

you used your powers to make the boat bigger; big enough for even Sewoon to sit inside

“wow....this will make traveling a lot easier! thanks y/n~”

you jumped up to kiss him on the cheek 

at a rapid pace, the waves started to carry the water higher and higher

thankful; the city people all had boats or had enough room to help other; there were no casualities

“everyone is heading up to the lighthouse, your mom should be there, you should too, Sewoon!” his neighbors yells 

Sewoon nods as he steers the boat in the direction of the lighthouse

to get to the lighthouse, he has to cross the train tracks

the train tracks were consumed by raging waves that flowed in and out

on the other side of the train tracks was dry land; inclining up to the light house

“STOP RIGHT THERE!!”

Sewoon turns around to see an oddly dressed man with crazy hair..(your dad)

“give her to me... and all of this will go away..”

the man slowly swims closer to Sewoon

“over my dead body,” Sewoon hugs the bowl 

to his surprise, the tide retreated, indicating that the next raging wave was going to hit

he just has to cross it to get to the lighthouse

Sewoon timed to jumped out of the boat and dashed to the other side of tracks

“I SAID GET BAC-”

your dad was carried away by the waves; at this point, even his magic couldn’t stop the nature of the waves

Sewoon runs as fast as he can to the lighthouse

he trips and falls

you roll out of the bowl, unconscious, but Sewoon scoops you up and continues to run

“Y/N WAKE UP! WAKE UP PLEASE!” 

he runs as he cries to you.. “you can’t leave me again..”

when he gets to the lighthouse, which was encased with a bubble barrier film, it seemed to be filled with water

“mom?” he sees his mother inside talking to a ginormous goddess being (aka your mom)

without a second thought, he runs in.. but he can breath? even though he’s in water?

he rushes to his mom, “y/n... y/n won’t wake up...”

“can I take her from you for a while?” the goddess asks

Sewoon brought you closer to his body; scared for her to take you from him forever

his mom touches his shoulders..”it’s okay sweetie”

he sighs and gives you to the goddess

“my sweet y/n...” she kisses you and you turn into your human self.. but still unconscious 

she places you in front of Sewoon and he falls to his knees

“why isn’t she waking up..”

“AGK YOU’RE HERE?”

everyone turns to look at the strange man

the goddess frowns at him, “why couldn’t you call me sooner, you made y/n go through a big heartache.. I could feel it from half a world away!!”

Sewoon put 1 and 1 together and realized that they were a couple but they weren’t your number 1 concern at the moment

“how can I make y/n wake up??” he says frantically as he is holding you in his arms

“y/n could’ve only been human because she ingested your blood.. but that’s only a temporary spell... if you make her a promise from the bottom of your heart, she’ll surely be human forever.. all it takes sincerity and lots and lots of love..” the goddess says pats him on the head

“y/n.. I can’t lose you again okay? please.. please come back to me... I love you... I promise to love you until the end of time.. and take care of you.. and wipe your mouth when you eat and...and...” his tears fall onto you

GASP

you wake up and you see Sewoon crying above you

you raise your hand to touch his face, “Se..woon..don’t be sad...”

he opens his eyes and immediately pulls you in for a tight hug

everything goes back to the way it was as your mother washes the waves back into the ocean and the moon slowly retreats

“make sure you don’t cause Sewoon too much trouble, my sweetheart” you nod as you kiss your mother goodbye

you and Sewoon held hands as you both saw the sunset glistening on top of the ocean

“I was going to risk the world for you.... and I would do it again if it came down to it..” he heard him say, “you’re my world now..”
