So I got sick on technically the 20th (of September) but it really hit me the 21st. Which was frustrating to me, because I'd just gotten back into a mental state of productivity. But after I'd gotten actual sleep, I decided on the 22nd for some ungodly reason to embark upon finally putting together a proper full-body design for my favorite character of all time. The second ungodly decision that I made was to, some extent, paper-doll this reference. 11 hours of work straight the first day cemented for me that I could not simply just… give up on this project, like so many others.

It is now the 25th. I don't know how many hours I've worked on this. I slept a lot in between. I am still sick. But it is done. My magnum opus, my love, my life.

If I had a nickel for every time I've digitally colored the traditional sketch of an AU version of Acacius Romeo Sapphirius then I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right? And funnier still, they're both the "good" versions of his character. Iconic stuff, really. The second is from Navy Bluebloods and the first is with Ginny Weasley and from Venomous Cure. Both AUs I haven't published shit for. Because I love never finishing anything :D (it's also not technically ship art)

haven't posted in a minute so here's a lazy traditional sketch of Walburga Black and Acacius Sapphirius from the Navy Bluebloods AU because I'm highkey obsessed with them and their messy affair

20 minute vent doodle (rant under the cut) technically it's just based off a line I said while I was venting but like, Acacius as a character very much reflects that feeling.

A lot of my self-loathing comes from the idea that I'm a dirty sinner and like. The idea should be that you can be forgiven, but how am I meant to be forgiven when every year I just get worse? My trauma broke me, it didn't make me stronger.

And uh, yeah, Acacius Romeo Sapphirius is the embodiment of that at times. Of getting worse. Of surviving at a cost. That point of no return that I'm terrified I've reached.
