#rambl#absolutely agog at the reviews for some desperate glory#'this novel tackled big themes and didn't necessarily have a lot of nuance –' yeah for sure '–as exemplified by the scene where#a human and an alien touch each other's hair which reflects badly on the author's sensitivity to black experiences' noo....#another person complains that a m/m side romance was more developed than the main character's f/f with her mostly off-page love interest#and this is problematic.
