This one is for all abro, multi, fluid, pluralian, heteroflexible, homoflexible and other uncommon mspec people because when most people make a post to make mspec people feel better it’s almost always bi/pan/ply/omni! We are beautiful and deserve more recognition! We are here we are queer get used to it!

as someone whose known i was abro for years it's genuinely so cool to see the label gain a bit more recognition in the community

Note
I just learned that abrosexual exists, and it kind of bugs me that i am almost 30 and just heard about it (kind of annoyed most types of sexualities i've only heard about in the past few years so ive been in the dark about myself in a way). Anyways, how would one go about identifying if they are abrosexual or not?
Yeah, abro used to be really obscure but at least we’re getting some more recognition now. I’d consider whether or not your attractions change or have changed over your life, whether or not “fluid attraction / orientation” seems the right way to describe what you feel, stuff like that.

Abro Ask Game by @abrofriend
1. Lizards or Cats? Cats
2. Are you on the a-spectrum? Very much so
3. Do you crush easily? No
4. Have you tried out other labels before this one? Before I discovered this term, I used to think I was greysexual and bi-romantic and then I kept experiencing changes which continued my questioning and made me feel so defeated
5. Are you abrosexual, abroromantic, or both? Both, which is...... something
6. Are you still questioning? To me, it feels like a perpetuating state of questioning bc of how often my orientations change
7. Do you like the flag colors? What do they mean to you? Tbh in the beginning I didn’t bc I thought that they were just randomly chosen and had no meaning (I still don’t know if each color has a different meaning) but now I don’t need to know if they do or not bc I love that we HAVE a flag. Every time I think I see an abro flag in public, I get emotional bc it means so much to me that we have that kind of recognition and I am so grateful
8. What’s it like when you fluctuate? It depends, lately when I switch back to being ace I have been getting upset bc I feel so broken and abnormal. Then when I switch and I do feel attraction, i tend to think “maybe I am just gay” but time and time and again it’s proven that my attractions are so fluid (it’s just hard to remind myself during the frustrating and “questioning” periods)
9. How long are your “phases”? Before they were weeks to months long and now, I don’t know why, they have lasted hours to days long
10. Have you come out to anyone (It’s ok if you haven’t)? I made a coming out post on my finsta acct two years ago and 19 people follow it so, yes? And then I individually texted another friend but I think he got confused and thinks I’m just a lesbian
11. What do you like best about our community? From what I’ve seen on tumblr, I love how excited we get when we see more abro content (fan art, more people realizing they’re abro/finding out about abro)
12. What have you shifted to most, lately? It seems like a 50-50 tie between ace and feeling like a lesbian
13. Fandom blog or aesthetic blog? Aesthetic
14. Green or pink? Pink
15. Do you have a crush right now? No
16. Are you involved in your local community? No
17. Do you like multiple genders, or just one? Sometimes multiple but lately just one or none
18. Do you have an abro blog? I wouldn’t say so
19. Do you want to know more abro people? Of course!!
20. Do you like being abro? Right now it’s a love-hate relationship but when I see abro pride content I can’t help but feel so excited and prouder than ever. And when I’m not feeling like that, I tend to wish I could stick to one sexual/romantic orientation (a matching pair)

Coming Out
Okay, so from remarks and comments I've made (and my blog header) a lot of people may know that I have identified as abrosexual for a very long time. But I have a bit of an update on that. I am abrogreysexual and abroromantic and non-binary/pangender. Now those are VERY rare labels, so I shall elaborate, especially since greysexual means different things for different people.
Abrogreysexual -- Lets break this down, starting with abro. Abrosexual means...well I usually explain it as being the sexuality version of gender-fluid. Basically who you are sexually attracted to can change from day to day. How often it changes and how many sexualities you can be differs from person to person, along with a few other variables. The second part of this is greysexual. As said above, greysexual can mean different things to different people. For some people it means they feel sexual attraction just not often. For me it means I experience sexual attraction, however I don't actually want to have sex. So abrogreysexual means that I feel sexual attraction but I don't want to actually have sex, and what gender(s) I'm attracted to changes semi-often.
The next term is abroromantic. Now this one is kind of simple if you read the first point. It means the same thing as abrosexual except it applies to romantic attraction instead of sexual attraction. So the gender(s) I'm attracted to romantically changes as well as my sexuality. HOWEVER this does not mean that they always change at the same time or are always the same. There have been plenty of times where I've been homosexual but panromantic for example.
Finally, non-binary. This one is obviously pretty well known compared to the other two, but I figured I could get a bit more specific. While non-binary can be just the simple term for some, for others it is more of a blanket term. I call myself non-binary because more people will know it and therefore know to call me by they/them pronouns. But specifically I am pangender. Pangender is a non-binary gender where the person feels that rather than being no gender, they are more than one, like me. It's very hard to explain but it feels like I am simultaneously female, male, and neither. Of course there are some days where I feel more feminine, but I just use they/them pronouns because that's easier.
I know this probably sounds like just another random person trying to get attention by telling their story, which is exactly what this is. But it isn't those exact motivations. I do want to bring attention to this post because the more experiences out there for people to find the better. There's less people scrambling for answer, for recognition. Sometimes knowing that there are others out and seeing it with your own eyes is worth everything. Because even if you know logically that there is obviously others because or else there wouldn't be a term, it still feels better to see your own experiences or ones similar to them told by another person as their own.

Sexuality Explained
Originally I made this post into separate parts but I decided to put them all together. In all of these sexualities, either ‘-romantic’ or ‘-sexual’ can be added to them for either romantic or sexual attraction. Right, let’s start.
Hetero- attraction towards the gender opposite to your own
Homo- attraction towards the same gender as your own
Bi- attraction to one or more genders
A- lack of attraction
Pan- attraction towards people based on personality and regardless of gender
And now, the less well-known sexualities that deserve as much recognition as the above:
Poly- attraction towards multiple genders but not necessarily all genders
Demi- attraction only after a bond is formed
Gray- normally a lack of attraction but may experience attraction under rare circumstances
Abro- changes between sexualities
Akoi- / Lith- experiences attraction but doesn’t want to act on it
Apothi- repulsed by sex/romance
Cetero- attraction to non-binary people
Placio- desire to give out romantic/sexual acts but no desire to receive them
Cupio- lack of attraction but the desire for a relationship
Fray- any attraction fades after initially meeting the person
Quoi- not knowing where you fit on the spectrum / not identifying with any labels
Recipro- Experiencing attraction only after learning someone is attracted to you
Homoflexible- usually attracted to people of the same gender but can, under rare circumstances, be attracted to the opposite gender
Heteroflexible- usually attracted to people of the opposite gender but can, under rare circumstances, be attracted to the same gender
Sorry for the long post guys, hope this helped explain things a bit more!

How Chan Rothana’s Father Led Him To Martial Arts Success
Tumblr media
ONE Championship athlete Chan Rothana has built a reputation for defying the odds, both as a professional mixed martial artist and a man growing up in a challenging environment.
Born in a refugee camp in Thailand, Rothana and his family returned to Cambodia once the civil war ended. His parents bought land in Banteay Meanchey, and together, they started a new chapter.
Lok Kru Chan Bunthoeun, his father, was a grandmaster in the ancient Khmer martial art of Yutakhun Khom, and although Rothana cannot pinpoint exactly when his martial arts journey officially began, he felt it was only a matter of time before he would participate in the family tradition.
After his father opened up a gym, the young Cambodian took a massive leap of faith by dropping out of school to help his family make ends meet.
"My family was very impoverished, so my dad asked me to stop studying and help him out at the gym. As I learned more, I started teaching other students. I began learning and teaching at the same time," he reveals.
"We had so many challenges in the beginning. First of all, we didn’t have a proper training club, so we had to go around and ask people to train on their property. Secondly, we didn’t have any equipment, so we had to find a way to create our own. It was miserable!”
Soon, the club started getting some recognition. More and more students came through to learn Yutakhun Khom, which enabled the family to pull themselves out of poverty and support themselves.
Rothana has come quite far since then.
Now, in 2018, he is a world-class athlete competing in the world’s largest martial arts organization, he represents his own gym, Selapak, and he trains the next generation of martial arts superstars.
"I never thought I would end up being a martial artist. I only trained because I wanted to play with my father’s students," Rothana explains.
"My dad kept persuading me to learn more about Khmer boxing because I didn't have an education.
"This sport has helped me a lot. It doesn’t give me everything, but I have enough to eat. Many people now know and respect me, so I don’t regret that my father pushed me to go down this path.”
Rothana has continued to expand the family tradition by implementing mixed martial arts to his Yutakhun Khom and Kun Khmer background.
At age 32, he looks to a brighter future for himself, his family, and, the sport.
ONE Championship has played a critical role in his development — not only as a professional competitor, but also as an international representative for Cambodia.
"I have benefited a lot since joining ONE Championship because it is a worldwide organization, and we can share Kun Khmer and our martial arts with the world," he says.
"But for me, the most important thing is to ask myself, ’Are we good enough to compete there?' When you're in ONE, you have to show the world that you belong.”
On Friday, 7 December, he aims to prove that he belongs in the top of the promotion’s flyweight division.
He will face undefeated Indonesian Abro Fernandes at ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It has been nearly eight months since Rothana last competed, but he is eager to showcase how much he has learned during that time and pick up a victory for his friends, his family, and his country.
"I can't wait," he says with a smile.

Okay so I really do like the representation with Pride tags in tumblr but I’m just also really sad that there are so many identities that didn’t get recognition that should. Especially mspec identies like omni, abro, ply, and multi attracted people whether it be romantic and/or sexual should be represented. Like, I adore that bisexual and pansexual and aromantic and others were added, but then you have a sobering grayness to piece of a spectrum of beautiful and infinite color. It is representation. It is progress. But we can do better.

I want to wish a hopeful new year to all LGBTQIA+ people out there today. Not happy, because for many of us happiness is simply not on the radar. There are gay men in Chechnya afraid for their lives, there are lesbians in Uganda with similar fears. There are trans kids all over the world fighting for recognition. For these people happiness is a reach. But what I can wish them is hope. Let 2018 be the year where hope blooms and even if everything is shit right now, there might just be a hint of light at the horizon.
For the mentally ill LGBTQIA+ I wish hope to deal with their illness.
For LGBTQIA+ people of color I wish hope that the systems of oppression that limits your opportunities in life can begin to be dismantled.
For bi, pan, and ace people I wish hope for the media to finally recognize them.
For fellow abro and other people of lesser-known sexualities I wish hope to be recognized at all.
For trans and non-binary people I wish hope that TERFs leave you the fuck alone.
For sapphic women and femmes I wish hope that our relationships and expressions of love will no longer be considered solely for the male gaze - because it's the furthest from it.
For monosexual gay people I wish hope that you too will have an easier time and representation reaches beyond a thin white gay man, but I also wish for hope that those of you that are excluding of other LGBTQIA+ people will realize that you are hurting our movement and treating these people like the Straights ™ have been treating you. It's LGBTQIA+, not LG.
And for the straight people, because they would have gotten mad had I not included them since the world seems to be revolving around them, I wish hope that you will please be mindful of your actions. Don't force heteronormativity or gender onto small children, listen when LGBTQIA+ people talk, and for goodness sake A does NOT stand for Ally.
