There are times when we may feel all alone, that even God has forgotten us. Of course, this is not so, yet it doesn't always stop us from feeling this way, does it?

Pharoah was still oppressing the Israelites. Moses had been gone for many years. It did not look like anything would change any time soon. It seemed that God had forgotten about them. But out in the desert, God was putting his plan into action. Now that Moses understood it was not about who he was, but who God was, could God use him to lead the people?

In case Moses thought God had forgotten about his promises, God let him know who he was, the God of Abrahan, Isaac, and Jacob. He then let him know that he had heard the cries of the people, he knew their sorrows and hardships and now he would bring about their deliverance.

The people probably thought they would never be free from Pharoah's oppression. Moses had settled into a shepherd's life, far away in time and place from the palace life he once knew. God, however, had not changed his plans nor forgotten his promise!

Take heart. He has heard your cry. He knows your sorrows. He will deliver you!
