Stex components headcanons
Because I needed to speak about this it is rotting my brain
KRUPP THE ARMAMANT'S TRUCK: The oldest of the electric freight, an old ex military truck that was retired before being assigned to protect Electra and his components soon after they were built. Despite being the oldest he is also the shortest- making him really good for stealth missions and just being sneaky, but not so good at reaching any top shelf. He is intersex and transmasc, preferring to go by He/Him. He's also demisexual and gay. He can't remember much of his previous life but he just knows it's the reason why he's so emotionally blocked out. Despite it all he does love his job and even more he loves his fellow components and engine. Will get deeply upset and lie if you ask him his age
PURSE THE MONEY TRUCK: The second oldest truck, and also the closest to Krupp, Purse is also intersex, preferring He/She pronouns. She is the one that got Krupp to start doing drag like makeup and always was there whenever he doubted himself. Purse actually had been switched from one engine to Electra due to compatibility issues with the previous engine, but now she is the happiest he could be. He handles finances, trips, etc and despite what you might think, she genuinely really loves her job. [He really likes numbers for some reason] Doesn't really like labels that much though, so just used queer. Will date just about anyone.
VOLTA THE FREEZER TRUCK: They came third in line, specializing in keeping everyone from overheating and taking a bit of a edge off before races- allowing Electra to calm and focus- She proves very useful. Bolta goes by They/She pronouns and is currently unlabeled, though they do tend to lean more towards masculine partners for preference. They always have cool snacks for after races and will give them to anyone who asks. She has things for steamers, diesels and electrics to enjoy for a little celebratory [or pick me up] snack.
WRENCH THE REPAIR TRUCK: The youngest truck- it showing by how anxious he is. Despite this Wrench is really good at their job. Wrench goes by He/She/They pronouns but it's best to ask because they tend to have more fluid gender. A medical nerd, knows how to fix just about anyone- doesn't matter what they are. Steamer? Easy. Diesel? Couldn't be a issue. Electric? Walk in the park. But he does have very bad social anxiety- making her also the quietest of the trucks, a stark contrast to the bold and brash personalities of the others. A pansexual icon.
JOULE THE DYNAMITE TRUCK: The second youngest, but easily mistaken to be the youngest with how loud her personality is. She is in charge of pyrotechnics and clearing out obstacles on the tracks. She clashes with Volta the most due to the difference of Voltas chilled and calming personality versus Joules firey and passionate one. Joule is transfem and a lesbian that goes by She/Her pronouns. The warmest all the trucks, a very nice heater during winter months but very uncomfortable to be touched by on hot summer days. Overheats the most of any of the components.

can you yap about your favorite ships or maybe dynamics for stex? love your art btw ❤️
Favorite ships are definitely HydraxRusty, and most of the canon ships.
I also kinda like Electra and Porter if people couldn’t tell already lmao
Honestly my favorite dynamics (and this is non ship wise) would have to be the freight trucks. They are soo fun to watch and their reactions to stuff around them are gold.
I also love how Slick, Porter, and Lumber actually act like a family. Like I get very happy when I see them pat Lumber on the back or hype him up while he plays the harmonica. Plus how they act around Rusty like he’s a part of their circle makes me feel things.
I especially love picking apart their relationship with HYDROGEN because it’s clear from the show they do not like him…and if the cast recording has any indication of how he truly feels about them then I suppose it’s justified lmao
I mean me personally I would not speak to my family if they were attacking me for the way I do things… (oh wait)
But sometimes I wonder if he genuinely wants to create a connection with them, he’s seen in the backgrounds watching as Rusty and the other freights chat. It gives me the vibes of disagreeing with your family members on certain things but secretly wishing in your heart that your relationship were different. (Sorry for that horrible explanation)
If so then why even insult the people you’re thinking of creating a connection with..by all accounts it doesn’t make sense.
So anyway guys check out carrot part 2 when it comes out cause the freights are in it—gets shot.
#I think hydrogen and the freight trains had the opportunity to be cooler characters but the execution was poor in my opinion#makes me happy to pick them apart as a relationship cause I can mould them any way I want#idk if peeps want me to yap about my interpretation of Electra x Porter feel free to ask idk maybe I’ll answer#stex london 2024#hydra the hydrogen truck

Don't know how controversial of a take this is (not very I assume) but I don't really like I Am Me it's painfully generic lyric and sound-wise and it also doesn't really fit into the show that well
#stex#it's cool you wanna add a 'girlpower' type song or whatever but like.the show doesn't reflect that.#the main female character's motivation's and archs still entirely revolve around their (usually male) love interests#*arcs#starlight express' sexism is best solved by diversifying the casting#cast male actors as coaches; cast female actors as literally any character that isn't a coach#there's nothing wrong with having characters that want and strive to have romantic partners#(which is what a lotta & a whole lotta locomotion were about the coaches' desires for a good engine)#you can keep these songs there is nothing wrong with them.#the problem was that only the coaches prioritized romance like that and only the coaches were female (originally)#only the female characters cared so heavily about and had their whole personalities revolve around romance. THAT was the issue#not that there were characters that cared about romance#the best way to fix that is have more female characters literally problem solved. maybe throw in a male coach too idk#don't write a new (kind of mid) song that does not fit into the story#the song is all about how they're strong on their own and don't need anyone else. but Dinah and Pearl's plotlines still revolve around#their love interests (or rather THEIR roles as love interests)#do you get. what I mean.#the song isn't in harmony with the contents of the show. it's saying one thing but the show is saying something else#and it just rings hollow as a result#uhm. it's about 2:30 in the morning excuse typos and clunky grammar and all that

I had a thought which lead to a headcannon and now you all have to hear it.
Okay, for starters I recalled a lot of people in this fandom like to make the Stex characters very human like or put them in full on human aus. Then I remembered something about diesel engines, you have to be very careful about the fuel you put in it or it's just a bad time for everyone... Which lead me down this spiral of thoughts.
So, Greaseball is the one who started off this train of thought and who it is mainly centred about. But if diesel engines can have only certain fuels, then as a human that would translate to them having a very strict diet. Probably even food intolerances and allergies, limiting what they can eat. But, since they're dating Dinah she can make them so many safe foods that actually taste good.
Next up, the electrics... Honestly, I can see them eating only "pure" food. Mainly a vegetarian/vegan diet but can and will eat only expensive meat. The entire ideology is it has to be free from any chemicals and no guilt would come from eating the food they have. Electra would probably eat a lot of salads. Though, I can also see them not being able to handle rich foods.
The steamers, no dietary restrictions or anything like that, but I can see them having more of a food culture based on how they prep it. In other words, they like to roast, boil and steam the foods they eat... Hell maybe even BBQ on the occasion. Rusty might have a more mixed diet since he works with the freights a lot? Not sure.
I don't think the trucks, freights or coaches would have any restrictions but would have a similar case to the steamers. It's more based on their jobs?
For example, the freights would have more finger food/packed lunches. They are more represented as the working class, so I can see them eating food that's fast to eat like sandwiches, or left overs. I can definitely see CB just sitting back with the most picnic like packed lunch.
The coaches I believe would have the most variety, but they each have a preference. Dinah and Buffy would have the biggest variety since they can cook, but it's more like diner/cafe food. Ashley and Carrie would be more little snacks and orderves (I have no no idea how you spell that word).
For the trucks... I don't actually know. I don't know much about them so I can't say. But, I would love to hear your thoughts and feelings about this! So please don't be afraid to add to this!

pearl is a victim of people expecting characters to be perfect moral good and righteous people when really pearl is just… a person. she’s not a good or bad person, she’s just a person. she’s not going to know the exact right thing to do in every situation and she fucks up a lot, but she gets crucified for it? god forbid any of you 13 year old pearl haters ever meet a real person in real life.
also yes, stex is badly written. it’s a musical about trains from the 80s, did you expect fucking shakespeare?!

is the way you interpret the stex characters, are they robots or a mix? since they don't feel pain, but bleed oil etc. what is the lore? are they built at a young age or are they built into adults? (p.s your art is delicious too look at !!)
ohohoho boy, the lore i have for you, strap in
(brief note, this is all my personal interpretation and is definitely not the word of god lol. I genuinely love every interpretation and believe that headcanon variety is vital to a healthy fandom ecosystem)
So, this is something I have thought a lot about and still continue to think about. I'm pretty sure I've nailed it down but it might still be a little nebulous so bear with me.
In the most basic sense, my interpretation of Starlight Express, and all of its characters, is that they are real world pieces of rolling stock that have the ability to shift between a train form (primary configuration) and a human form (secondary configuration). Not an uncommon idea in this fanbase.
However, I'm an overthinking bitch, and I love going in-depth on things like this, so let's expand a little.
There are three main phrases that I use to define my interpretation (headcanon? au? lore?) and to keep myself on track when developing ideas. Sort of layers, if you will. They are as follows:
Fabricated manifestation of psyche - This is rolling stock's appearance in secondary configuration, or what we see in the musical. Their human bodies are a cosmetic representation of their will. A psychological trick. It reflects their personalities, their jobs, their mental age, the demographics of the region they serve. There about a million different factors that go into how they look, and like us, they can't control it. (well, except for CB, but he's another story) It's important to note that this is a manifestation. They are not Transformers. Secondary configuration is not 1:1. There are certain things that get muddled in the changeover. Wheel arrangements being different, missing certain parts, changed color palettes. You could open one up and see parts but not in any sort of similar arrangement to their blueprints. I mean, who can honestly picture every single part of their body in perfect detail and then reinterpret it into a new shape? (this is in part my answer to discrepancies between the real costumes and my lore shh shh)
Counterfeit reflection of humanity - This is their minds. They are our copies. They experience everything we do. They work, play, socialize, fight, fall in love. You could talk to a piece of rolling stock and have a fully human conversation. They are people. However, the longer your conversation goes on for, you may notice certain...oddities. Gaps in their knowledge, speaking in rhythmic sentences, constant repetitive movement. Someone copied humans and didn't do the most perfect job. Like looking at human culture through a lens. Many a train has pondered the simultaneous existence of being machine and being alive.
Physical incarnation of industrialism - Now this, is the origin of all of this. The humans did not create trains to be the way they are. Every piece of rolling stock is designed as they would be in the real world: vehicles to transport people and goods from one place to the next. No one designed Greaseball's slicked back hair or big, studded belt, they designed an EMD E7 built for pulling fast passenger trains. My point is, at the advent of industrialism as we know it, the trains manifested their secondary configurations themselves. They are the offspring of humanity, sired by ingenuity and innovation and birthed from the overturned earth of the Industrial Revolution. No one knows how or why, they just are.
So, in summary, they're sort of robots? Sort of a power of the mind situation? Sort of my own self-reflection on the nature of being alive?
Bonus facts!
Indeed, they do not feel pain. In fact, much of their sense of touch in general is limited. It ranges from same sensitivity as human flesh (hands, face, wheels) to just registers contact (shoulder boxes, hip plating, couplers). I have a diagram of the exact distribution somewhere lol
They bleed? Kind of? If parts are pulled off or damaged, they sort of…leak. Also, if their fleshy bits are "injured", the wounds only heal when the actual machinery is repaired. Also also, if you remove a human part (arm, leg, head, etc.) it will turn back into a train part!
Their temperature resistance is notable too. Comfortable is between -10 F to well over 500 F. Anything above or below that, and they start to complain. Wooden rolling stock have a harder time than steel ones.
They're afraid of deep water and tornados.
In addition to their nails being painted in relevant colors (which I believe is a semi-popular headcanon already), their mouths are the same. Some more unnatural colors include, black, yellow, and blue!
Tall! Generally between 12 and 17 feet. Loosely correlates to their height in primary configuration. Some are the same height, some are taller, some are shorter. Really depends on personality. I contemplated once to have their heights be the length of their primary configurations, but that would result in some pretty awkward height differences and they would be too big for their loading gauge.
They always manifest as adults, or at the very least, late teenagers. They kind of age? Sometimes? Momma started out a bit middle aged, but Rusty has spent like 50+ years looking 25. Really depends on the person, workload, environment, etc.
#asks that make me pace around the room screaming in delight#thank you for the ask and compliment!#starlight express#stex#starex#heacanons#factoanthropology#ask#blazingphantom#from the cab

my thoughts after seeing stex wembley :D
I saw the 25/1/25 Matinee!
We had a few swings/understudies on- Scott Hayward as Rusty, Lara Vina Uzcatia as Greaseball, Asher Forth as Electra, Jamie Cruttenden as Lumber, Jessie Angell as Slick, Red as Green Arrow, Charles Butcher as Orange Flash, Sam Gallacher as Killerwatt, Bethany Rose Lythgoe as Wrench and Gary Sheridan as Volta. They all did incredible!
I adore the little remixes they have of cut songs from the show that play in the lobby! I didn't notice them at first but I swear my ears pricked up when I realised I could hear the melody of There's Me! I think the full list of remixes were There's Me, Next Time You Fall in Love, A Lotta Locomotion and Right Place, Right Time (Please tell me if I've missed any!)
This is the first show I've ever been to where there's been a safety briefing beforehand! The staff are all incredibly professional although they aren't miced up, so if you are hard of hearing you may want to grab one beforehand to ask them to run you through everything.
We had a show stop! I was actually pretty hyped about this because I'd heard about them happening a few times and as someone with the tiniest experience running theatre tech I wanted to see how it worked! Everything was fine and it was sorted quickly. The stop happened right at the end of Crazy since the house lights kept flicking on and off.
The show sounds so much better in person! I've listened to the cast recording and seen a few bootlegs and the criticism that it's hard to understand is definitely because people are watching recordings of the show. I have auditory processing issues and was realising what some of the lyrics were mid-song when I was in the theatre!
I was sat trackside in the locomotive seats and I'm so glad I didn't buy a cheaper ticket because I could see the entire track, and so much happened directly in front of me! The crash during race 2 happened right where I was sitting, and Dinah and Porter were cheering for the final race in the aisle. At one point, Lumber skated right into the barrier and when I jumped, he turned around and said "Didn't see you there!" which I thought was so cute!
If you want cast interactions and you're near the track, cheer during the races! clap along to songs! of course, being trackside helps, but simply show how much you're loving the show and it pays off. The cast are absolutely incredible with interacting with the audience mid-show as well as during the megamix, and I was so happy with how many little moments that I got to see so close up! If you're recording the megamix, look up at the performers and not at your phone, too!
The only downside of this is that sometimes your view will be blocked- I missed a bit of one of the songs because Tassita was positioned directly in front of me and I couldn't see past! However, the cast are almost constantly moving, so you'll be alright.
I truly can't recommend the locomotive trackside seats enough- there's never any turning around and craning your neck during the races to see what's going on!
During the races, there are live camera feeds which show up on the screens around the theatre. I didn't notice it for a while, but it's the marshalls with the cameras, and it really makes you feel like you're watching a race!
Speaking of the marshalls, they're absolutely incredible! Some of the tricks they pull off are insane to see, and sometimes I felt like I was cheering for them more than the skate stunts!
There have been a few little tweaks made since the recording of the bootleg that was floated around. They're mostly just a few words changed in lines, but there's still new things to see!
Seeing all the tech live is breathtaking. It's one thing to see a video, but so many moments completely took my breath away, especially I Am the Starlight.
I've got so much more appreciation for Pearl and the Freights as characters now. Not that I didn't like them before, but I definitely love them more after the show!
By the end of Act 1, I had already decided I needed to see the show again! I felt like everything could have taken twice as long and I still would have loved it.
In short- if you can see this show please do! It is entertaining, thrilling, and absolutely worth your money no matter where you're sitting!

Early uses of electric trains (that may surprise you)
This doesn’t explicitly apply about any canon characters, though you could use it to expand on/reinterpret Electra, the Nationals, or make OCs. I’ve just noticed a lot of people in the Stex fandom, and even just general railfans, that don’t realize that electrification historically has had waaaay more uses than environment friendliness and high speeds. Here are some other things it was used for in the days before global warming was on anyone’s radar and smoke was considered a sign of prosperity (the early-mid 20th century)
TUNNELS- burning things in enclosed spaces is a pretty well known way to get carbon monoxide poisoning. Even open-ended but long, slow-speed tunnels had issues with smoke and exhaust from steam and even diesel engines lingering and blocking vision/suffocating people, leading to gas masks or cab forward engines being used. So these became some of the first places to require electrification. And it wasn’t just subways, you also had underground mines and long tunnels through the mountains like the Cascades Tunnel.
HILLS: Due to electric motors being strongest at low speeds (and steam engines being strongest at full speed) and much better power to weight ratio, electric trains are REALLY good on steep, long inclines, especially if there’s any stopping involved. The Milwaukee Road’s Pacific Extension, the Virginian Railway, and basically the entire country of Switzerland are fun examples of early electric lines on rugged mountainsides where even very large steam engines struggled. On top of that, running downhill with regenerative brakes dramatically axes the amount of total power used. And as an added weird bonus, extreme low temperatures and lower oxygen at high altitudes impaired the performance of combustion engines on parts of the Milwaukee Road but electric engines saw no losses or even outright benefits due to enhanced motor cooling (cooling traction motors is a big deal and why a lot of older electric engines have such loud fans)
ACCELERATION: Electric engines and EMUS especially are great at stopping/starting quickly, making them great for commuter trains with frequent stops. This allows greater train frequency without increasing tracks, and is a major benefit of electrification even today (see Caltrain’s electrification project). Also see the GER Class A55 for how extreme steam engineering had to get to compete at the turn of the century.
SHEER POWER: It’s hard to overstate just how much more powerful individual electric engines can be vs diesel or even steam, not having to carry their own power source allows them to access a lot more. Just take a look at the “most powerful locomotives” wikipedia list, and that one actually leaves off a LOT of mostly older electric engines that would outclass steam/diesel ones included. There are a surprising number of huge early electric engines like the PRR FF1 with a similar tractive effort to later large steam engines (albeit a lot of these were slooow due to the aforementioned trait of motors being strongest at lowest speeds). This is also why high speed trains are almost all electric, their monstrous HP numbers are more to pull moderate loads at 200+ mph.
HYDROELECTRICITY: Using hydroelectric power was a practical and not environmental choice in the early 20th century and where it was readily available (especially where fossil fuels weren’t), electrification became very lucrative. Switzerland is the most extreme example, without much of a domestic supply of coal but a lot of hydropower. The Milwaukee Road and Pennsylvania Railroad also used dams as a major power source
MAINTENANCE AND LABOR COSTS: This was a bigger advantage in the steam era because the gap between them and steam engines in terms of maintenance and availability was so wide, and you can run multiple electric engines with one crew but double/triple heading steam engines requires one for each engine. They’re still competitive if not cheaper than diesel power today, especially on high-frequency routes, and especially when the costs of pollution are included. Electric trains are generally the lowest maintenance and most reliable of all traction, and tend to last longer due to fewer moving parts (50+ year lifespans are not rare). Now it’s more a matter of paying more up front and less on maintenance vs less up front and more on maintenance. The actual wires and infrastructure are a BIG up front cost that’s very hard for private businesses to do alone without government help (just see how many lines got bankrupted by these projects in the US in the early 20th century)
BONUS: this is technically a promo by the company itself, but it’s relatively willing to admit their faults, The Milwaukee Electrification
Goes into a lot of the points made above in a pretty fun and concise package
#stex#starlight express#reference#the tl;dr is electric trains are genuinely OP except the massive nerf of infrastructure costs/maintenance#and that is a VERY big nerf depending on economics/politics#i also say “trains” as a general term because most of this stuff applies to both locos/power cars and EMUs

do you have any headcanons for the stex characters and like their secret talents?
bc i just had a vision earlier of rusty being insane at juggling (i was at the circus - don’t ask lol) and was suddenly inspired
OOOHH?
i’ve never though about this before but i love the idea
I think Dinah can do those hibachi chef tricks? Like she can catch eggs on her knife and do cool fire stuff
Greaseball can ballroom dance, and she’s hella good at it, foxtrot is her favorite. She always leads though, which works because Dinah doesn’t know what she’s doing
Pearl is ridiculously good at sound effects, she can mimic the sound of pretty much any noise really well. Her specialty is the Super Mario jumping sound
Rusty being able to juggle fits him so well honestly, I think he has lots of spare time so one day he just teaches himself to juggle
I also think Dinah’s a good artist, mostly because Eve draws honestly. I think it does coincide with her being a great cake decorator though
Electra likes taking things apart and building little robots with the parts
I may add on to this but its been sitting in my inbox for a while and I wanted to share :))

And I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation
RP/Ask Blog for Joule (She/They) from Starlight Express as written by Pip (25, they/them).
This is my interpretation of Joule and so the portrayal will be based in my headcannons about her as well as information provided in cannon. AU & OC friendly, down to write with any productions versions of StEx characters! Am also happy to give my Discord and write/chat over there if that's preferable.
Ask box and dms open for shenanigans! Feel free to dm if you wanna plot a little something! Headcannons: (X) Divider Credit: Hearts || Roses

monty. tell me everything you can about your stex au. its consuming me
OKAYYY ill give a plot and like. how it works rundown
so the au takes place mostly a british primary school (because stex 2024 has the actors using their natural accents) and the whole racing part is done in the form of foot races at recess
the catch is, this whole racing game that the kids called “the train game” has been going on for years, and as students graduate and start at the school the competitors change. and as the name implies, if you want to race, you have to pick a train to play as (and a train name)
kids who pick engines tend to be the ones who race more, while kids who pick things like coaches and fuel trucks race slightly less
you can pick any type of train as long as it’s real, and some kids get pretty technical with it
pretty much all of the stex characters are kids at the school (with a few exceptions) who play this game, and it’s the main way to determine popularity there
for example, grace, aka greaseball, started playing the game when she was in year two, as a diesel engine, and she dominated the competition, even beating the older kid who was the champion. and since then shes pretty much stayed the champion.
for the train names (or how i decided whether or not i should give each character human name) there’s three categories
- characters whose names are already regular sounding enough (tassita, dinah, belle, etc)
- characters who go by nicknames regularly that they use for their train names (rusty, pearl, killerwatt, etc)
- and characters whose train names are things they came up with on their own (greaseball, electra, the wembly engine crew, etc)
a bunch of characters who don’t exist in the 2024 revival still appear, but as parents to other characters (i have another ask ill use to talk abt that)
im gonna flesh this au out more but thank you for the ask fen!!

infodump about your futuristic stex au pleeeeeeeeeeeease it look so cool! how does the world work? have you worked on any other characters besides 2024!electra? if so, what are they like in this au?
HELLO!! yessir I'm still in the early stages but I'm working hard on it and I looove it so much I need everybody to ask me about it all the time actually pretty please
Here's Some characters I've designed so far! All 2024 with their fandom names to prevent confusion
Corry ( rusty )
Diamond ( pearl )
Hardwire ( killerwatt )
Galvanic ( Electra )
Thunder ( greaseball )
Dolly ( Dinah )
Corry is a mechanic from a desolate moon, caught in the political unrest he's trying to escape it all with his friend- diamond. Who was originally just an online friend of his. Since the two live very different lives. Diamond living on a high class technologically advanced planet. Though she's escaping her home too because the government is becoming worse and worse. The two end up being forced to travel with Dolly and thunder. Who are both from a poor planet with little civilization. Yet they have stolen clothes to blend in, even if poorly. Diamond hopes to take them to galvanic because galvanic has connections to lots of people who could help them escape easier and faster. Plus find a location as they are going randomly as it is. As the federation ( a space governmental body who finds criminals who have gone off their planets bounds. ) is after them hardcore with all the unrest. !!
That's the basics for a story so far. I can't rant for many of the characters specifically yet because I'm still figuring everything out! Corry is a mechanic, Diamond is a fashion designer and model, hardwire is Galvanics bodyguard- and galvanic is a club owner ( with absolutely no secrets ) and thunder and Dolly are proclaimed average people who won't share anything about their past,,
I could say more but I don't wanna bloat this one post, if you have any questions- PLEASE ASKKK I LOVE TALKING!!!

Just to know: that almost made me cry. 💜/Pos!!!
A little bit about my journey as a StEx fictionkin, then something about how happy I feel about this comment under the cut (because it will be big X"D )
Also link for sending the anonymous stuff:
https://ngl.link/fenixdodia
When I started calling myself an Electra and changed my name from Voxelstrainyard to princeelectra (because I still can't use Electric prince, my name... - -)" ) I didn't even know what a fictionkin was.
From the beginning I felt that connection with Electra that I thought I would cry of joy when I thought about him or the fact that I would put his name and his photo everywhere because I wanted to be called or perceived as him... But I never even thought that was a thing other than my weird "obsession" with StEx. I had dreams where I was Electra, I was in his body or I was with him all the time...
The name "Electric Prince" got in 2022 and when I decided in 2023 ( I think?) I would rebrand my StEx account to be ELECTRA'S account, I had SO MUCH FEAR of judgement. That people would find ridiculous someone passing by a fictional character, that they would find it childish, maybe say that I was faking being a fictive... I had so many fears. Because everyone else said it was ridiculous thinking I was a little, idiot train.
Then, I shyly started to talk with people on discord, and roleplay as Electra. I would talk about my memories as Electra to people, and kindly explain when I was roleplay and when I wasn't. I used to explain my situation as: "I just like to pretend I'm Electra, so I'll talk as Electra sometimes. I don't know why, that just makes me happy and I feel comfortable with it."
Until someone asked: "...Are you a Fictionkin then?"
I was like... "What is it?"
And when I googled it? I started screaming.
"THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT! THAT WAS WHAT I WAS GOING FOR! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!"
The JOY I felt for finally understanding what I felt and knowing I wasn't alone was UNMEASURABLE.
That's what I felt SO HAPPY about that comment.
Knowing that because of me, more people could have the silly joy of being a character. Of relating and feeling like them, and even if for a moment, escaping from reality and feeling truly free from judgement and bad stuff.
I inspired someone! DAMN! THAT IS AMAZING! This means more than any prize, than anything you could give me!
Thank you SO MUCH for the support you all were giving me through all that, Thank you for so much love. All the silly tags in the reblogs, the random commentaries, the "hey! That reminds me about you!" On random Electra posts... You make me so happy, and I'm so glad I can bring you some joy. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
