Women’s Reproductive Rights: A Must-Address Issue On International Women’s Day
Tumblr media
The struggle for women’s empowerment has been long and hard-fought, with generations of brave and outspoken women paving the way for greater equality in society.
From the suffrage movement to the #MeToo movement, women have made remarkable strides in terms of rights and opportunities.
Despite the progress that has been made, there is still a lot that needs to be done.
One of the concerns in this regard is women’s reproductive rights. As we celebrate Women’s Day this year, it is essential to also take a stand to fight for women’s reproductive rights.
Let’s Make This Women’s Day Count For Women’s Reproductive Rights
People from all around the world should come together to recognize the power of women and their rights. We should celebrate the hard-fought battles and progress made in terms of gender equality and look to the future to empower women and protect their reproductive rights.
Those who don’t know reproductive rights refer to the rights of individuals to determine freely and responsibly whether they want to keep a child or not and to have the information and means to do so.
From fighting for equal pay to defending access to healthcare, it’s time to stand together and honor the struggles and successes of women everywhere.
Roe v. Wade Is A Grave Danger to Women’s Reproductive Choices
Tumblr media
In recent years, the right of women to access reproductive health services has come under attack in the United States.
Laws have been proposed and implemented that limit or deny women access to reproductive health services such as abortion, contraception, and prenatal care.
This has been particularly detrimental to low-income women and women of color.
Her Smart Choice believes reproductive rights are fundamental human rights
Tumblr media
At Her Smart Choice - women’s health clinic, we believe
Reproductive rights are essential for achieving gender equality and empowering women to take control of their lives.
Reproductive rights empower women to determine their reproductive health and to make decisions about when and how often they will have children.
They also allow women to make decisions about their sexuality, relationships, and reproductive health without fear of coercion or discrimination.
We must ensure that laws are not passed that limit or deny women access to reproductive health services. People should stand up for policies and programs that provide women with the education and information they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
Let’s Join Hands Together
We can join the fight for women’s reproductive rights by supporting organizations that are fighting for women’s rights and lobbying our representatives to support policies that protect women’s reproductive rights. We can also volunteer with organizations that are working to provide reproductive health services to women in need.
Let’s stand up for the right of women to access reproductive health services and to make decisions about their reproductive health free from discrimination and coercion.
We must be relentless in our efforts to protect and respect their decisions, and to empower them to make their own choices about pregnancy, birth control, and abortion.
We must strive for equality and justice so that all women can access the care they need and the respect they deserve.
We all should use this day as an opportunity to come together and fight for women’s reproductive rights.
This Women’s Day, let’s commit to fighting for women’s reproductive rights.

Hey everyone with a uterus on my friends list. With the current bs events taken place in this horrific time line, I just wanna give ya a PSA. Join the Satanic Temple, Islam, or convert to Judaism. Those religions have a religious and holy book right to grantee the life of the mother. Abortions are mandatory when the life of the mother is stressed or threatened. Don't let the zealot Christians in our government control you. Take a stand and secure the rights they are trying to take from you. You have options. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

Right now abortion is still legal but should the supreme court pass their vote, it may not be for many. Check out plancpills.org (@plancpills) for up to date info on how to access abortion pills online. aidaccess.org (@aidaccess) offers a service where doctors prescribe abortion pills to keep in your medicine cabinet in case of a future unwanted pregnancy. It's 2022 and women are still fighting for their rights. How long will it be until we are finally treated as equals? ❤️‍🩹 #roevswade #roevswadesupremecourt #abortion #abortionrights #abortionishealthcare #abortionisahumanright #womensrights #womensrightsarehumanrights #equalrights #equality #mybodymychoice #prochoice #prowomen #herbodyherchoice #yourbodyyourchoice #hisbodyhischoice #supportwomensrights #supportwomen #strongwomen (at United States) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdLwFVirTri/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Starting Wednesday, someone seeking an abortion in Texas found themselves in a dystopia episode of The Handmaids Tale.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's because Texas, with a measure signed into law by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, has authorized "any person" who does not work for the state or city government to bring a civil lawsuit against any doctor who performs an abortion after six weeks -- or anyone who aids or abets in the procedure. At the same time, Texas has rewritten the rules of civil lawsuits, changing where abortion providers can be forced to go to court, whether they can receive attorneys' fees and when they have standing to sue on their patients' behalf. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For nearly a half-century, since Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court has consistently upheld the right to terminate a pregnancy prior to the fetus being able to survive outside the womb — generally 22 to 24 weeks. And it has consistently blocked laws that cut back significantly on that time frame.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This time, though, the court majority ducked when faced with the Texas law, which also delegates enforcement to private individuals. Specifically, the law confers on any individual the right to file suit for money damages against a clinic, or any person who aids or abets an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #thehandmaidstale #texashandmaids #handmaidstexas #roevwade #abortionisahumanright #endwhitesupremacy #hangerabortion #texasabortionlaw #bloodygirlgang (at Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTX0ej8BcSm/?utm_medium=tumblr

BREAKING VIA: @aclu_nationwide ➡ The Supreme Court has not responded to our emergency request the block Texas' radical new six-week abortion ban, SB8. The law now takes effect. Access to almost all abortion has just been cut off for millions of people. January 22 was the 47th anniversary of Roe v Wade. It’s also a year and a half since Ireland repealed their constitutional amendment which made abortions for any reason illegal (May 25, 2018). I grew up in a post Roe world listening to these debates of pro-life vs. pro choice. I think these debates are silly. One is steeped in religious and false science while the other is built on respect and the belief that people should be able to make their own choices regarding their health. I don’t debate my opinion of being pro-choice, but I defend my right to have unrestricted access to healthcare and learn about the best choices for my body and my mental health.
Also Roe v Wade didn’t magically create abortions. Women have been getting abortions for centuries. We have the recipes for tonics to take, herbs to use, physician records. Women have died and continue to die from induced abortions through unsafe and illegal abortion practices “coat hook”, “falling down the stairs”…. Currently the best way to avoid an abortion is to understand and have comprehensive sexual education in conjunction with access to contraceptives and regular visits with an OB/GYN while still having the option if you chose to have an abortion, AVAILABLE. Teaching, listening, compassion, and kindness matter. The person making the choice matters. My dream is to live in a world where anyone with a uterus is respected and left alone to make their own choices free from governmental intervention on what makes an abortion morally right. “My body = My Choice” is not a small matter. It’s what allows people with uteruses the independence to not have to rely on the good will of their partners for support or turning to back alley clinics. Remember if abortions are made illegal tomorrow they’ll still happen but more people will die from unsafe practices. A right is a great thing, but without access a right is useless. It’s not my job to police what the person next to me does with their body anymore than it is for them to police mine. #ourstoriestotell #roevwade #protectroevswade #plannedparenthood #prochoice #abortionrights #abortionisahumanright #prochoiceisnotproabortion https://www.instagram.com/p/B7qMRBgAjCS/?igshid=1agohnmeyepqz

. . Ph: People rally in support of abortion rights at the state Capitol in Sacramento in 2019.
