Holding hands with Aaravi Mishra:

-You’re probably in a dungeon with her when she brings this up. 

-…oooor, she just dragged you into the camp’s forest. Or somewhere else.

-Hey, you aren’t complaining!

-“Hold onto me, you’ll get lost- don’t look at me like that!”

-at first her hold on your hand is kinda uh. Tight. And awkwardly positioned, it’s that kind of palm to palm, all fingers pressed together handhold.

-Like she is squeezing your poor hand so tight, you can feel some sweat forming.

-Eventually, during your dangerous (or “dangerous”) trek, you manage to wiggle your hand free, Aaravi turning back to you with a raised brow.

-“Aaravi, you’re squeezing my hand to death.”

-“It’s a secure grip-!”

-“Oh- yeah, it’s secure, but really uncomfortable- here, lemme show you what I do-“

-You slid your hand to hers, (not before wiping your palm on your shirt to dry it), and for a moment, it looked like you were just comparing hand sizes with her.

-“…uh, (y/n), if you wanted to compare hands you?? Could have said?” The adventurer narrowed her eyes in confusion, but hey, she still went along with it!

-You shifted your hand slightly, then folded your fingers through the dips between her fingers.

-“…huh.” Aaravi managed to get out. “……..huh.” She repeated, the red flooding into her face. This was- this was really nice.

-“So, what do you think?”

-her fingers folded as well, and, embarrassed and flustered scowl on her face, she let out a grumble.

-“…It’sniceiguess.”

-Her grip is still very secure and tight, but it feels more… natural now if that makes sense.

-The red on her face goes down in time, and you continue exploring as normal

-Her grip is very strong, and she seems to hold your hand in a sort of way that allows her to pull you back if need be.

-Back… behind her.

-She flushes at the thought of being able to protect you like that.

-…

-(Click)! 

-Hex grins at the picture they took, floating up high as they looked at it. “Hehe, this one’s a keeper!”

a/n: this is for @whoneedscoffeeanyway who requested Aaravi fluff a while ago. I'm sorry for taking so long love, hope this is to your liking!

Aaravi? Expressing positive emotions?? Out loud???? 

No. Of course not. The flying pigs aren’t scheduled until next week. 

But! Hex telling you all Aaravi’s feelings is just a normal Friday night.

“Shut up Hex!” 

And this is a normal Friday night. One where you and Aaravi are stuck doing what Hex wants, and that is watching tv, eating pizza, and causing dear Ravi slight mental distress. 

“It’s not like they don’t know your feelings, Ravi. You’re dating them.”

“That's different!” The slayer pouts.

“No. It isn’t.” Hex counters.

“Yes it is! How would you know? You don’t even love anyone!”

“Yes I do. My love for the everything bagel knows no bounds.”

“That doesn’t count!”

“Since when do you get to decide what’s love and what isn't? You only ever deny your feelings for your lovely little player 2.”

“Only I call them that!” She blushes. “Ugh! And It’s not like you are any expert either.”

“Well actually in the state of California-”

This is going nowhere and you have unfortunately gotten sucked into the show the three if you are supposed to be watching. So, as per usual you need to come up with a way to resolve this silly problem.

Leaning on Aaravi’s shoulder, silencing her, you begin.

“Hex, wasn’t this all your idea? Now we’re almost to the season finale and you and Aaaravi have been arguing this whole time.” You sigh from the crook of Ravi's neck.

“... You’re not wrong. But this show is boring, since I've seen it four times already.  I’m gonna go nap in Ravi’s skull. Peace!” And with that Hex is gone. Leaving you and Aaravi (more or less) alone.

“Thanks” your girlfriend mumbles, taking a slice from the Pizza box on the coffee table in front of you. and bringing it to your mouth. 

“Here, to keep your energy up.”

You take the pizza happily and munch away as the show plays on. 

Time passes and Aaravi grows equally interested in the TV. But her attention fades onto you, and you can only ignore the holes she’s staring into your head for so long. As you turn to her she frowns. But before you can speak, she starts to talk.

“You know how I feel about you and shit already right? Cause that cutscene was not something I really want to relive.” 

You chuckle. “Yes Aaravi I know of your undying love for me.” 

She lets out a huff. Cheeks glowing pink. 

“G-good. Our relationship is a stat boost I have grown a little to comfortable with for  a misuderstanding to fuck everything over. Especially since we both worked so hard on it… and my therapist says I should be more upfront with my feelings.”

“Aw, I love you too… player 1.”

“Shut up! and spoon me. It’s cold.”

You do. pulling her in by the waist and nuzzling her head. Maybe today wasn’t a normal Friday night afterall. But this is way better than that. Isn’t it?

Whereas Aaravi and Dahlia are dating, and take up to carrying you to settle their bickering.

Into the woods you go, following the sounds of birds. The birds seem to be piling around Aaravi and Dahlia, as they summon the feathered creatures to help settle a debate.

“Aaravi, babe, you’re way too small to carry me.” Dahlia pats her silver-haired girlfriend, who begins to don a new look of anger.

“What did you just call me sweetie?” The blue demon has clearly agitated her.

Luckily, Hex speaks up to lighten the mood!

“She called you short. Also, why’d you summon these birds?”

You were trying to stealthily walk past, so as not to intrude the couple. However, your camouflage that you learned from Counselor Flodge is ruined by the fact that you do not have arms meant for clinging tree branches. You snap a huge branch, and with it you fall.

Dahlia is not as shocked as Aaravi that you fell from a tree, and begins to think. “Well we were gonna decide who’d carry the other at the wedding arch with a bird catching competition, but I have a much better idea.”

Please let it be to hold your hand or something.

Aaravi lightens up, already picking you up. “You wanna see who can hold Y/N more dramatically?”

This is much better! Dahlia begins to complain about Aaravi getting a head start, but you don’t care. You’re being carried by buff women.

You’re carried in all sorts of styles. Dahlia gives you a piggy back ride, Aaravi uses you as a barbell. You’re carried bridal style by both of them individually at one point, and eventually they are both carrying you bridal style simultaneously. Aaravi carrying your legs, and Dahlia carrying your upper half. it’s actually quite comfortable and you feel really supported. You look up at both of them beaming with competition and love, they turn their heads to each other and smile. They get lost in each other’s eyes and eventually drop you.

You pick yourself up, what a shame. You’re not being carried right now. However, Aaravi and Dahlia had plans for that.

You notice in the next couple of weeks that the two are carrying you daily. Turns out this is their new competitive way to settle things. It was great, last time you were carried by Aaravi was when you were playing popular game Group of Greats. Dahlia loved to carry people, but now all of that energy goes into carrying you for her partner. You couldn’t tell if it was them trying to get you to join their open relationship because they’re a bit dense, or if they genuinely just had fun carrying you because they’re a bit dense.

After 2 weeks or so, they suddenly stop carrying you. You obviously notice, because it had become a very common thing, but you don’t bring it up. Maybe they just gave up on finding new styles to lift you.

You found this out to not be true, when you get an invite to the woods. The handwriting is almost cryptic, so either Aaravi wrote it or you’re being lured to your death. Both seem fun and honestly similar, so you come. Crickets go through the leaves, and you hear some snapping of twigs when you’re not taking steps. Something grabs you from behind, and you immediately recognize the small, muscular hands picking you up.

Aaravi was back at it.

She carries you through all sorts of things in the woods, particularly fighting things. Every now and then she pulls out a sword, gracefully spinning you into one arm. Speaking of spinning, you two had developed a move where Aaravi spins around and you kick at everything. You were too weak to do enough damage, but the monster hunter liked that you were enjoying (and helping her grind EXP ever so slowly).

Eventually you come across Dahlia. “I’d been looking for you, Y/N!”

Aaravi halts, “Yes sweetie? Why do you need Y/N?”

Dahlia picks you up and simply says “I have a plan, don’t worry about it sweetcheeks.”

Very flustered as Dahlia carries you away, you can hear Aaravi muttering things such as “Really?” and “Why do I like such an idiot…”

Dahlia is very calmly walking you through the pathways, to the lake port and then-

She has brought you into the lake, and you were too distracted by her hot muscles to notice beforehand. The demon then tosses you around, seemingly like some sort of dance partner. You had no idea what the choreo was, but you went with the flow. A badge conjures before Dahlia, the “Carry Someone into the Lake and Dance” badge! This wasn’t the last you’d be collecting together for that day, though.

You collected the skydiving while carried badge, the make a meal while carrying someone badge, and your favorite of the day was about to come up.

“The carry someone and ask them out badge!”

You had no idea that this was where it was going, but you quite liked it. You especially liked it when you got over your nerves at Aaravi jumping out the bush.

“Babe I thought I’d be Y/N’s knight in shining armor!”

Hex once again has useful commentary when their host speaks.

“You are not in shining armor at all, it got muddy from fighting all those things.”

Dahlia chooses to ignore the curse, and acts upon her own confusion. “Wait you’re asking out Y/N too?”

“Liali, we were both inviting them to our relationship? We had a whole plan where you dress up as a damsel in distress and I save you?”

“Oh yeah! I said that was boring and didn’t do it, but I didn’t realize the plan was romantic. Just so I could collect more badges.”

Aaravi sighs, “It wasn’t for your badges- What do you think the romantic dinner was for?”

Before they continue, you speak up.

“I’ll gladly date you both, but I have one request.”

Upon hearing your request, they smile and pick you up, carrying you to the Manor where they had a whole night of watching horror movies and holding each other scared planned. When they said romantic dinner you expected something else, but this worked out just fine.
