A scary moment on the freeway last night. One of my tires blew. Thank you, AAA, for sending a technician over as quickly as possible. And thanks a lot to the technician for changing the wheel and sending me on my way! It was an impeccable rescue, and I felt well advised and safe. (P.S. This is not a pic of my car. As you know I am a AAA Roadside Assistance driver when I’m not making adorable toys. This was the spare a young man had been driving on for at least a month. There’s no rubber left and the fabric base is all kinds of shredded. Do not do this. A spare is only good for 50 miles per use and even then you are pushing it to the limits and potentially causing damage to your axle. #sparetire #aaaroadsideassistance #aaa #roadsideassistance #flattire #flattireproblems

On my way back to the old house, someone dropped a kiddie bicycle tire with spokes on. It was a blind turn and too late for me to dodge it. It punctured my right rear tire. Ugh. Out in a bit sketchy downtown area at midnight. Thanks to #aaaroadsideassistance for the quick help. I'm home safe.
