LORE: This takes place roughly three years right after the end of Mandred von Karma's imperial rule, and the Edgeworth royal family line is back on the throne. King Miles and his Grand Knight Phoenix have been doing their best to cleanse the corruption within the kingdom during those three years until Phoenix was caught in a trap, framed for assisting a murder against a well-known traveling Gramarye Magician. At that time, the trust of the citizens were extremely unstable due to the revealed corruption inside the kingdom, and for the sake of Miles' position as the king, Phoenix decided to go with the flow as there were not a single evidence that proved Phoenix did not do it. Of course, Miles has never doubted Phoenix as his trust of Phoenix since childhood times has never wavered, but by the situation stands and Phoenix's personal wishes, he himself had to give the "Guilty" verdict in his own hands. Phoenix's Grand Knight title after more than three years has stripped off, and was kicked out of the kingdom, hiding himself in the rural areas of the country taking a young magician girl with him.
