High Hopes || A Klaine 2.0 Para

Blaine stared at his phone. The text conversations he’d been having had somehow converged and the suggestion that Kane made the best Jack and Cokes gave him a reason to leave his room. A drink sounded great right now. Maybe it would get his mind off of what felt like everyone knowing about a secret that he’d guarded so carefully over the past nine years of his life. He made sure that Mason’s cat had enough food and water and gave him a scritch on the chin before just heading to Kane’s room quietly. He definitely looked like he’d been crying earlier, but he wasn’t really concerned at the moment. Knocking carefully, he waited quietly to see if the other was even in his room.

Super quick hc from their meetup yesterday:

Blaine and Kane met up to talk in person at Starbucks and it was awkward at first. Blaine blurted out that he had feelings for Kane and Kane said that he had feelings for Blaine, which led Blaine to ask why Kane had gone to Sebastian’s room, and then to ask what exactly happened. Kane explained and Blaine was pretty relieved to know that it wasn’t super sexy, and then Kane got Blaine to smile a little and the whole situation got a little bit lighter.

Headcanons || 9/18/2017

This afternoon, Blaine and Kane went for a lunch date. They enjoyed a picnic lunch, followed by a really fun time swimming together in the Ashwood pool before Blaine had to go to marching band practice. When practice was over, he headed back to his dorm room, where Rachel was waiting for him.

He did not understand why she was so upset looking until she talked to him, explaining that over the past week, their text conversations had worried her, and with the information he’d accidentally provided to her, she managed to figure out what he was hiding by accessing court documents via her father, who is a lawyer. She explained what she knew and Blaine withdrew from the conversation a little, embarrassed at it having come up.

After their conversation was over, Blaine decided to try and walk it off, but his walk only made him realize that anyone with the right tools and a motive could go and find anything out that they wanted, so he decided to tell his sister, Wendy. Wendy was patient as he stumbled slowly through the entire thing, talking about it out loud for the first time in a really long time. 

Mason texted and asked him to take care of his cat, to which Blaine agreed and once he was in his room, he realized that he didn’t want to be alone. He did not want to be with Wendy or Rachel because of how embarrassed he felt over them knowing what happened, and Kane had mentioned having a drink with him, so he decided to head over that way just to see if he really did make the best Jack and Coke.

There are a lot of things that I would like to say to you, and I am not really good at words, so I’m sure that I’ll forget half of them and make the rest sound like a jumbled mess.

I want to thank you for being patient with me. I know that I come with a lot of headaches and like, baggage and fears and complications, but you are so patient and kind and you don’t treat me any differently, even when you know the whole story. Thank you for taking care of me when I’ve made a mess of things by accident, and showing me that it’s okay to relax sometimes. Thank you for forgiving me when we have misunderstandings. Thank you for showing me how big your heart is. And allowing space in it for me. Thank you for giving me your time and space, and for appreciating me for who I am.
