octavinelle with animal lover reader ✧・゚
Summary: This Yuu has always loved animals since they were young, fish and mammals alike. They venture to see the ocean life in Octavinelle, meaning both the fish and the fish people :)
TW/CW: None
Notes: pre-relationship, gender neutral reader, they/them pronouns for the reader, the reader is implied to be Yuu/Ramshackle Prefect

[Name] had always loved animals. Dogs, cats, even fish! They were all so cool. When they were little they had been interested in fields of work involving animals. As they grew up, the love never faded. Even in this Twisted Wonderland, it remained. But... with some new sides.
Now that focus was directed elsewhere. Here at NRC, there were merfolk and beastmen. It was all too cool. They had to ask, they had to investigate. They wanted to know more, to know everything!
They walked into the Mostro Lounge and approached...

Azul Ashengrotto
Azul is a very busy man and he doesn't expect part of his day to be... this. [Name] catches him off-guard, something he doesn't like.
He is used to the weirdest of people asking him for things.
People always want things from him.
However, someone asking about his merform really makes him unsettled as he doesn't care for the form himself.
He sighs as soon as the questions begin but doesn't stop them.
Sadly, he is fond of this human and he lets them yap at him.
They apparently like octopi. He is oddly flattered by this sentiment.
In the end, Azul answers some of [Name]'s weird questions.
He offers them a few non-sinister smiles as well.
All for free, of course. He's a benevolent force after all.
Azul was startled when [Name] first burst into the Lounge and asked to speak to him. Well, asked was putting it nicely. They entered the room and beelined for Azul, much to his frustration. He had been working but doubted he would get anything more done now.
"Yes, [Name]-san?" he asked them after a moment, "What did you need from me?"
His voice was calm and collected as he smiled his businessman's smile at them, hoping to make this quick if it had anything to do with Deuce Spade, Ace Trappola, or even that cat, Grim.
"I wanted to ask you something, Azul."
[Name] seemed confident today.
"Ask me what, exactly?" Azul asked them.
"I want to know more about merfolk. I've always loved animals and there are so many animal-like species here... I just need to know more!" they explained.
Azul was at a loss for words. They wanted to ask him about his... About merfolk? That was odd. It had to be a joke, right? This was...
"Can you tell me about them? Or yourself?" [Name] asked.
They had a look on their face that made Azul want to give in, much to his annoyance. Why was he okay with this? He didn't understand it.
"Alright, ask away with the questions then," he told them.
They smiled again as they asked their question.
"I was wondering if you can regrow your tentacles!"
"What."
Azul was once again at a loss for words. The octomer offered them an incredulous look. What the fuck? Why would you need to know that?
"I was wondering if you c—"
"I heard you the first time," he shushed them, "Why?"
"No reason, just curious," they told him.
He sighed. Today was going to be a long day.
"Alright, so you are just wondering about this trait in octopus merfolk," he repeated, for them or himself it was unclear, "I suppose the simple answer is... yes, I can."
"You can???"
[Name] seemed surprised.
"That's so cool! That's part of why octopi are some of my favorite animals! They're so magical to be able to do things like that!"
[Name continued to prattle on about octopi. But... For some reason, it felt a bit personal and Azul felt his face heat up.
"Is there a-anything else you'd like to know?"
"Well—Azul are you okay? You look like you have a fever!"
"No, no, I'm quite alright," he assured them, and the discussion continued.

Jade Leech
Jade is always "polite" to those who come into the lounge.
He knows this human so he humors their questions.
He kindly reminds them that they need to buy a drink to stay.
"If you don't buy a drink I am afraid I will have to send you away..."
He sheds a few fake tears as he says this.
He knows that [Name] will understand he is kidding.
(He is serious about the drinks though)
Jade happens to be working when [Name] shows up.
He continues to do his job while they chat, slowly having them do lounge tasks alongside him while they talk. Feed two birds.
He finds it cute that they like morays this much.
Jade wonders if you would talk to him about his terrariums.
Even though he wouldn't mind showing off his merform, he is too busy with work and tells [Name] that it would hinder his work.
"I am very sorry, [Name], that is not a service the lounge provides."
Jade smiled at the sight of [Name] helping to bring orders to tables and check on the patrons of the Mostro Lounge. It was certainly helpful to have an additional set of hands during the busy hours. They had come asking questions about merfolk, asking one of the few they knew at school... It had resulted in work time for them.
The Octavinelle Vice Housewarden would say he felt bad if it did not benefit him immensely to have their time and energy today.
"Next order, [Name]-san," he reminded, handing them a tray as they came up to the counter once more, "Three more to go, I believe."
"Jade, will you really tell me more about merfolk if I do this?"
"Yes, of course," Jade told them, "You see, a deal is a deal and we at the Mostro Lounge take these things very seriously."
He gave them a close-mouthed smile that [Name] trusted.
They gave a quick nod and took the next order to its table.
"Hehe," came the soft laugh from Jade as he watched them go.
They trusted him too much, he was sure of it. But it was almost endearing when he thought about it, the blind trust of someone so kindhearted. He had to admit it interested him why they had trusted so easily. He was not as outwardly threatening as Floyd but he was certainly so saint either. Some said Jade was scarier than Floyd.
"I'm ready for the next one!" [Name] said, having returned while Jade was thinking, "Eh? Jade? Are you okay?"
The "shady" smile of Jade's returned as he nodded to them.
"Ah, of course. I'm alright. Let us take these last ones, shall we?"
Together, the pair delivered the last three orders to their customers who were eagerly waiting. Jade took two while [Name] took one with both hands. They had made quick work of the growing number of orders that had piled. Jade noted that he needed to edit the scheduling for the Lounge. This was not enough workers. Was it?
"Will you answer a question now?" [Name] asked as they headed back toward the Lounge kitchen, "Or is there more work to be done?"
"It would depend entirely on what your question is, [Name]-san," Jade told them, being surprisingly honest at that moment.
"I want to know what merfolk are like! What do they look like or do under the sea?" [Name] asked him, sparkling as brightly as gold.
"I see, I see," Jade mused as he thought, "I am afraid that I cannot show you what a merperson looks like today. It would hinder the productivity of the Lounge and Azul would not like it."
[Name] pouted and Jade only chuckled at the response.
"I can perhaps explain a fact you might like, though," he told them, "Would that suffice? One fact from a moray to a human."
"Ooh, okay!" [Name] agreed with a smile.
Jade admittedly found it a bit cute, but he didn't say anything about it. That would be a sentiment he shelved for another day.
"Us moray eel merfolk are bioluminescent."
"You glow? Like a glowstick?" they asked.
"What is a glowstick?" Jade returned the question with a question.
"You shake them and then crack them and they glow."
[Name] demonstrated with violent miming.
"...We glow but I do not think the shaking nor cracking is required."
"Oh..." they replied, pausing before they smiled again, "Cool!"
[Name] still seemed just as enthusiastic about it even without the added violence. Jade had to admit, maybe he wouldn't mind teaching them more should they desire it.

Floyd Leech
Floyd having a bad mood day or not is the deciding factor for how he reacts to someone who is this enthusiastic about his species.
Let's assume you find him on a good day for your own safety.
Floyd laughs at you for asking. He thinks it's funny you like eels.
He thinks it's even funnier than they are asking him about eels.
"Do you ask the beastmen about themselves too?"
Still, it's kind of cute, he has to admit.
He answers questions, some better than others.
He gives some interesting facts here and there.
He isn't stupid, he just doesn't care for lessons much.
When [Name asks him about his merform, he smirks.
This just got very interesting :3
What a generous offer, as Azul might say.
Floyd watched [Name] as they listed off their favorite animals, among them were eels. He gave them a toothy grin as he heard the words leave them, the kind of expression that would send most people running to the opposite end of the damn school.
"Ne, Shrimpy. Do you really like eels that much?" he asked them, leaning a bit closer to them to stare at them with heterochromatic eyes, "Are they your favorite animal of all? That'd be fun."
"I like all animals, though," [Name] told him with a laugh, not seeming to mind the space, "But I am pretty fond of eels."
"All eels?" Floyd asked, hinting at the answer that would satisfy him.
"Well, I mean all eels are cool," they said before looking at him and smiling a moment later, "But I like morays the best."
"Good! We are the best there is," Floyd agreed, a grin still sparkling on his face as he laughed along with the human guest, forgetting his work.
He could waste time a bit with them. Azul would only get so mad and he was boring anyway, so serves him right. There was no way Floyd was in the mood to cook right now. He was in the mood to chat with Shrimpy about their favorite animals.
"So what else did you want to know?" Floyd asked, leaning against one of the plush chairs in the lounge as he watched them.
[Name]'s eyes sparkled.
"I really want to see what a merperson looks like..." they said, "Are they really so fishy?"
"Hmm? Why don't you find out, then~" Floyd said, taking [Name]'s hand as he walked them over to one of the larger fish tanks that decorated the space and climbed into it.
[Name] was amazed by the massive form that Floyd took on when outside of his human disguise. He was turquoise, with stripped patterns on his body and arm and ear fins that matched his coloring.
"Think us merfolk are nice then?" Floyd teased, "Want to join me?"
[Name] nodded, though it was unclear to which part of the question.
"Come on then!" Floyd said, giggling, reaching to pull them into the tank with him, "Aa, so nice~"
[Name] felt the cold water on their wet clothes that were now sticking to their body. They leaned up against Floyd who was so tall in this form. Or would it be "long"? Is that a better word? They didn't know.
This calm lasted only for a moment...
"FLOYD. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" Azul's voice could be heard from across the room.
"Oops~ caught by the bossman," Floyd said, laughing again even if he seemed a bit miffed about being interrupted.
Even if the Lounge was busy and Floyd was on shift, he would always see it this way: Azul was interrupting his time with Shrimpy.

Carlos + 7,29 if you’re still taking reqs 🫣✨
"Well, this went horribly wrong..."/"Where did you get the flowers from?"
driver + number = drabble <3
warnings: charles gives stupid advice
ok I might maybe kinda sorta like writing for Carlos but 🤫 also definitely maybe have ideas to turn this into a longfic
In your first week with Ferrari, he was the second person you met. He was walking out as you were walking in, but he stopped to greet you and introduce himself.
In your second week with Ferrari, he was the third person you saw after getting to the motorhome. By then he knew your name and though he didn't seem excited to see you, he wasn't rude.
In your third week with Ferrari, your crush developed.
It was over the smallest, stupidest thing, which only made it worse. If anyone had told you that you'd be giggling and blushing because a man called you sunshine, you would have said they were insane and launched into all the reasons you didn't need a man to lift your spirits.
But there you were, cheeks warm and giggling behind your hand as Carlos smiled at you.
You've learned that he loves to make people laugh. Yes he's serious when he needs to be but he seems to thrive when there's laughter, when the people around him are happy.
After that he's casually called you mi sol, to the point that Charles has started to notice. Which only makes it a million times worse. Because Charles, when he's not yapping about his dog and his girlfriend, likes to interfere.
"You and Carlos get along," he says as you walk together to the garage. You've been with Ferrari for almost four months now, and Charles has become, kind of, a friend.
"Carlos gets along with everyone?" You're trying your best to act calm but when Charles laughs softly you know he can see your cheeks turning pink.
"Ah, I don't remember him calling me his sunshine," he sighs wistfully.
"You're too gloomy for that nickname," you say without thinking. Clapping a hand over your mouth, you wonder when you began to feel comfortable enough around Charles to say such a thing.
But he isn't insulted, he only laughs again. "If you want him to finally ask you out, make him jealous."
That stops you in your tracks. "Excuse me?"
Charles stops a few steps ahead and turns around. "Make him jealous."
"What makes you think I want him to ask me–"
He glances behind you, smiling. "Ah, Carlos!"
You squeak, whipping your head around to look behind yourself. When you do, Charles laughs again, and you turn back to see him smirking. "You're horrible."
"You like him," he teases.
Rolling your eyes, you continue walking. "What are you, twelve?!"
He hounds you all the way to the garage, and finally, if only to shut him up, you agree to try his idea of making Carlos jealous.
"This is so not gonna work," you mutter under your breath as you enter the hotel that evening, a bouquet of flowers clutched in your hand.
Charles's idea is "perfect" - perfectly stupid.
"Just tell him they're from an admirer."
As if Carlos will care. As if he's going to see you holding flowers and say–
"Ah, mi sol."
You blink and realize Carlos is stepping onto the elevator with you. Smiling, you shift the flowers in your grasp. "Hey Carlos."
He looks at you, then at the flowers, then takes out his phone.
You're so going to take the most unflattering pictures of Charles tomorrow.
"Where did you get the flowers from?" Carlos asks after ten seconds of silence.
"Oh! I, um." You swallow. "They're from, uh... I got them."
If there's a higher power, you pray that it'll take you from this earthly hell right now. Carlos is looking at you as if trying to decipher what you said, and the elevator is going up, and you're unfortunately not dreaming.
"I see that you got them." He puts his phone away, his brow furrowing a little. "Are you going on a date?"
"God no," you laugh weakly. And now you know you'll never be the femme fatale you wish you could be. You're doomed to spend your life as the awkward, dorky loser girl. Unable to meet his eyes, you sigh. "Well, this went horribly wrong..."
"What?" Carlos looks even more confused.
"I should never have listened to him. Of all the stupid ideas. It's like out of a bad movie isn't it? Get yourself flowers it'll make him jealous and then he'll make a move. I can't believe I actually did it, that I actually let myself think he was right–"
"Mi sol."
You groan. "I'm sorry."
"I'm confused," he says. "Who were you listening to?"
"Charles," you mumble.
And to add to your embarrassment, Carlos begins to laugh. He's still laughing when the elevator stops and the doors open.
"It's not that funny," you say.
"I'm sorry, mi sol," he says between giggles. He's giggling and it's as cute as it is mortifying. "Who are you trying to make jealous?"
"You," you blurt without thinking as you step off the elevator. You can't look at him, can't imagine what his expression is, but can hear his laughter die immediately as you walk quickly to your room. You're almost at the door when a large hand gently grasps your shoulder. You know it's him and want the floor to open up and swallow you as he turns you to face him.
"Me?" Carlos asks softly. When you nod, his eyes soften and you're staring into your morning espresso. "Why would you want to make me jealous, mi sol?"
"I don't, I..." You slowly breathe in, only for the air to leave in a shaky gasp as his hand lifts to sweep your hair from your cheek. "I want you to like me."
A smile that could melt Antarctica. "I have since the moment I first saw you."

We're very tense for some reason and I don't quite know why? I have to stay consciously me in front or else it feels like we're on the verge of a panic attack. And even with me consciously in front, it only takes the edge off
[Big rant about our DID and also a short paragraph talking about our ex beneath the cut]
We do find it morbidly interesting how we started functioning way more like a "traditional" DID collective after we cut off our ex for good. Some things are still more uniquely us, considering we're a primarily spiritual collective and all, but we have headmates (like me) with dedicated roles that aren't just vibes-based in a way we didn't before. Like, there's no getting out of calling me a protector.
If we're being honest, it's probably because while we were still "friends", we were always kind of like. "On the edge of our seat" hoping something would happen and they could go back to being our SP? But now that they're gone, we're able to actually recognize the traumatic shit we went through while with them, and we kind of just... can't stop digging for more, for an explanation as to why we feel so hurt. So we keep finding things before we've actually processed all the previous stuff, which keeps us continually on edge and like. Almost re-traumatized, which worsens the DID.
I think, if we hadn't figured out we had DID in June(? Was it July? Idk we mostly have fragmented amnesia so things very rarely stay in chronological order with our memory), now (or roundabouts) would probably be the time we found out. Which kind of sucks because I don't think now would have been any better of a time to find out about our DID as opposed to when we did (since we found out about our DID within days of our grandma dying so like. Shitty week all around) like we were hoping, lol
I do think I'm a "product" of our DID in a way that most of us aren't. I mean, obviously, most of us are soulbonds and walk-ins/drop-ins and I'm not, but even compared to others who aren't "spiritually derived", I guess (such as Oakley), they don't come from our DID. Meanwhile, I was very obviously created to be a protector, to soothe us. I mean, hell, I formed when the brain essentially hit the emergency danger button because we thought about our childhood trauma too hard when we thought we were "over it". I was the stop-gap to protect us and make things feel okay again while the brain recovered.
I don't think that makes me lesser, really. I'm a part of this hivemind. We all are. My genesis was just slightly different--and hey, I'm not the only one whose origin was a disorder; the whole of the Wolf system (other than Oakley) split off of Oakley since they were originally AvPD masks. I didn't split off of anyone; if I "split" off of anything, it was from the raw psychic matter of the Black&White (the inter-dimensional space between our layers/otherworlds), but that's more like cell mitosis than anything. There's no depletion of the Black&White, just a siphoning of some of its matter into a new form.
And it doesn't make me any less of my own person just because I'm from our DID. (And I'm mostly saying this because we've been seeing people saying lately, as though it's inherent to the disorder, that headmates from DID are just "pieces of the original". Maybe that's the case for some, but it's a major overgeneralization and it is not how we work or view ourselves at all.) I'm my own being and entity sharing this body with everyone else.
I dunno. I started writing this like twenty minutes ago, and we're calmer now. Not fully calm, but a bit better. Our biggest coping mechanism is just yapping I guess, lol, and I'm a professional yapper if there ever was one!

Idk if this is how you request things or if it's just asking, BUT-
How would the Lords react to an S/O that's usually the chillest person that you will ever meet (not to be confused with a pushover because they are not), they've never seen them even mildly annoyed when something bad happens. But then something happens and, turns out, the S/O is utterly TERRIFYING when they're mad.
Hope this makes sense!
Aw man I'm gonna feel awful scaring Moreau and Donna :(
Alcina
You're relaxing on a beautiful morning. The sun is shining through the window just enough to warm the room but not hurt your eyes. You hadn't even changed out of your sleep wear. "How are you feeling, my dear?", a sweet voice rang from the doorway. You were sitting in your favorite chair near the window. You turn and smile at her. She walks over and rubs your face in her large hand before leaning down and giving you a soft kiss. "I'm feeling amazing. And you?", you grab her hand before she pulls it away and you place a kiss on her knuckles. "I'm feeling alright. There's a new maid here. She's a bit slow. I'm giving her until tonight to finish dusting the entire castle or else she won't see another sunrise." It was almost comedic how dark her words were as you both stared out the window and gazed at the beautiful scenery. "Come on Alcina.", you stand up and place your hands on hers, trying to hold them despite the size difference. "Give the girl a break. It's a huge castle AND it's her first day.", you knew your words would probably change nothing. Alcina was rather cruel, but you looked past it. You tried your best to make the nervous maids comfortable whenever they arrive.
"We'll see how she does." She gives you one more kiss before leaving the room. You sit back down in your chair, enjoying the warmth of the sun for a little while longer. You lose track of time, minutes maybe even hours go by. Suddenly, there's a crash not far from the door. You jump and stand up, no longer comfortable after being startled. "What in the name of Mother Miranda?!", you leave the room and look down the hallway. The new maid stood there with a terrified look on her face. In front of her was one of the paintings Alcina had on her walls, now with a broken frame and a hole punctured. Your blood began to boil. It was a painting of you, her, and the girls all together. It was your favorite. "How in the hell did you manage to do that?!", you begin to stomp towards her. She cowers and struggles to find her words. "I-I-I was just dusting! It fell and I-I didn't mean t-", you cut her off. "How the fuck did you knock such a large painting over just by dusting?! DO YOU THINK YOU'RE ALLOWED TO MAKE SUCH STUPID MISTAKES HERE?!", you unravel. "I-I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!", she almost begins to weep. "SORRY ISN'T GONNA SAVE YOUR ASS!"
"MISS DIMITRESCU PLEASE HELP!", she cries out. You freeze, realizing that the lady herself is right behind you. You turn to face her. Her eyes are wide with shock. She has never seen you like this before and never even knew you had this type of side to you. She was impressed as much as she was terrified. "(Y/N)? Are you alright my love?" She had no idea what to do as your seething slowed down. "Why don't you go back to the room, yes? Settle down a little and deal with her later.", she places a hand on your back helps walk with you back to the room. Once you're there, she bends down to whisper in your ear. "I don't know where this side of you has been this whole time, but I am so amazed by you. And also a little frightened."
Donna
The Beneviento house was usually a calm place despite its creepy aura. You and Donna are both quiet and chill people. Never once have you fought or even raised your voices at each other. It was pleasant.
You had planned a nice dinner for the both of you. You wanted to try out a new recipe and surprise her, so you made your way to the kitchen to get started. "Okay, what first? I guess I'll need a pot.", you go rummaging through the kitchen and you find the pots stacked within each other inside one of the top cabinets. You groan and stand up on your toes, grazing the pots with your fingers. It didn't take much to cause them to tumble down, crashing on top of you with a loud sound that followed. "Aw shit.", you sighed and picked up the knocked over pots. A small but annoying pain began to throb in your head from where it made contact with a pot. What you didn't notice was you forgot to pick one of the pots up. It remained unnoticed. "It's fine.", you say to yourself as you maintain your composure. Next, a cutting board and knife. You turn around and begin to walk forward to find the cutting board, but you slam your toe into counter. You wince in pain and grab your foot. "SON OF A BITCH!", you yell.
You calm yourself, still wanting to have a pleasant meal with Donna. "Alright. Everything's fine." You step forward and kick the pot that you had forgotten to pick up. It caused your freshly kicked toe to ache even more. "OH COME ON! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!", you scream and swear as you throw your arms up in pure rage and shock.
"...(Y/N)?", a gentle voice whispered from the doorway, causing you to whip your head in that direction. It was Donna. She looked absolutely horrified and almost looked like she could cry. "Is.. is everything... are you alright?", she worried. "Yes. I'm sorry. Just got a little pissed off.", you took a deep breath to calm yourself down, feeling bad for scaring the poor girl.
Moreau
You were sitting on the dock together, looking into the water as your feet swung back and forth above it. It was a sunny day and you two decided to spend it outside. Your hand slowly made its way over to his. His feet stopped swinging for a second as you entangled your fingers. "I don't know what I'd do without you, (Y/N)." his words were bitter sweet as a gentle smile formed from his lips. "Oh, Sal. You don't have to think like that. I'll always be here for you.", you kiss his cheek and continue to relax as you sway your legs.
"There it is! There's the beast!", a voice yelled from not so far away. You both look in the direction of the voice and see a few young village boys. Possibly between the ages of 13 and 16. Moreau had become some what of a scary story for the villagers. A tale that kids spread on school court yard and bring up during dares. But, you've never seen a kid brave enough to actually make it far enough into the reservoir to actually see Moreau. Now, there were about 3. All of them stood and pointed, shocked and terrified.
"Hey beast! Come get me!", one kid teases. You glare at the kids as a newfound rage begins to boil inside you. "Let's go back inside.", Moreau says before standing up from the doc. The sadness in his voice was heartbreaking. Suddenly, one of the children gathers the guts to pick up a rock and throw it as hard as he could. His aim was off, but not by much. It slammed into the wood near Moreau's feet, startling him. "Take that you devil!", he laughs. "THAT'S IT YOU LITTLE SHIT!", you begin sprinting in the direction of the immature brats. Two of them run from the direction they came from while the one who threw the rock was frozen in fear. You took the opportunity to grab him by the collar of his shirt. "Listen here you little waste of space. I'm gonna give you 3 seconds to turn around and run for your goddamn life. If you or any of your little snot-nosed friends come around here again, they'll be goddamn fish food. Do you understand?" The kid was too scared to speak and instead began to nod rapidly. You let him go and watched as he ran as fast as he could, screaming the whole way.
You walk back to the shack and find Moreau standing in the same place he was when you took off. His mouth was agape and he looked almost as scared as the kids. "You alright Sal? I made sure those little shits won't be coming around here anymore." "Yeah... I didn't know you could be so... scary", he says. "I'm sorry. But those kids were being cruel. I had to do something.", you say. "Well... it was awesome!", he smiled. "But also very scary!" You laugh which helps sooth him a little.
Heisenberg
"Screw driver.", is all Karl said with an outstretched palm. He was working on some type of mechanical heart for his experiments. He wanted you to lend a "helping hand" even though he could easily do it all by himself. He did this because he wanted to be around you, he was just too stubborn with too big of an ego to simply say it. So here you were, handing him every little tool he asks for.
"Do you want the big one or the little one?", you say with a hint of boredom in your tone. "Aw c'mon don't sound like that! Isn't this exciting? It's like you're working on it with me! Also, hand me the big one.", you do as he says and hand him the big screw driver. "I just don't get it. You literally have powers. You can easily do this by yourself and have been for so long. Why do you need me to help?" He pauses for a second and looks over towards you, his brow slightly furrowed. "I don't NEED you to help. I just thought it would be nice for you to help out. Plus, you're the one always bitching about me constantly working. Well, here you are! Helping me work! So, either suck it up or you can leave." His harshness had no real ill will in it. He was just confused and a bit too ignorant to consider his words. But, he was testing your patience. He continued to use the screwdriver until handing it to you without saying a word.
"Hand me a screw.", he demanded with his hand facing palm up again. "Which size?" "They're all the same sizes, dumbass." You feel your blood begin to boil. "They're different fucking sizes! This one is smaller than this one!", you hold up two screws that are obviously different sizes. This makes Karl angry. Not because you were right, but because you seemed upset over something that seemed so insignificant.
"If you came here just to yap in my ear, then I don't think I need your assistance.", he huffed. You put the selection of tools and supplies he was making you hold on the table he is working on and ball your fists. "You're the one who told me to do this in the first place!", you yell. "Yeah, because you won't stop bitching! Non-stop you're always compla-" you cut him off before he can finish. "SHUT UP!", you yell. The room goes silent. "YOU SAY I'M BITCHING? HAVE YOU HEARD YOURSELF? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST KARL YOU BITCH AND MOAN ALL THE TIME! I'M DONE TAKING SHIT FROM YOU!" He wanted to be angry, but he couldn't. He felt something much more overwhelming. Was he.. intimidated? He didn't move from his seat. All he could do was look up at you with a confused expression. What now? What is there to do? If he pushes you further, what would happen? He was actually too scared to find out.
You take a deep breath to calm down before speaking. "Now, if you want me to help with your shit, I'll stay as long as you keep your mouth shut. Can you possibly manage to do that?" He gulps nervously. "Yes ma'am."

Devil’s Daughter [Dean Winchester]
Catch up: 1
CHAPTER TWO
I came too in a warehouse, tied to hard metal chair with wet ropes that were burning my skin.
"Well look who finally decided to join us." Came a male British voice. The man stepped out of the darkness, walking towards me with a bottle of water. He was wearing a black suit and had a smirk tugging at his lips, looking at me with a cruel smile.
"What do you want from me?" I breathed out, my flesh sizzling under the rope.
"My name's Crowley and I need your help devil spawn. I want your father's ass back in a cage and you and your little powers are the only thing that can help me."
"Excuse me?" I lifted my head, looking up at him in bewilderment. "My father? Cage? Powers?"
"Yes?" Crowley narrowed his eyes at me and looked me up and down. "There's something wrong with you..."
"Gee, thanks."
Crowley bit back a smirk and shook his head. "No. You're more...human, than I expected. Do you know who you are?"
I shook my head and he sighed. I shrugged and told him, "It's like my head's been wiped. I had a flash back earlier but it was just of my friend calling my name."
Crowley stepped closer to em, it was a slow menacing step that had adrenaline cursing through my veins. He reached into his deep pockets and pulled out a knife. He flipped it in his fingers so the blade was pointing towards me.
"Whatcha got there friend?" I mumbled, starring at the metal blade that he was about to pierce me with.
Crowley chuckled and lifted the rope from my arm. He sliced the ropes and let them hit the floor before holding out a hand to me.
I skeptically took it and he pulled me from my seat. He threaded my arm through his and helped me walk out of the warehouse.
The sun had disappeared and was now replaced with a starry night sky, a beautiful dot to dot of sparkles.
We turned a corner and there in front of us was a shiny black car. It was a vintage beauty, gleaming under the moonlight. As we got closer the two front doors opened and two tall men stepped out.
I recognised the first guy from earlier and sent him an uneasy smile. He looked relieved to see me, he gave me an uncertain smile. "Hey Dean." I nodded and he nodded back, not saying anything.
"Elle, we're gonna go somewhere and I'm going to explain everything to you. I may be evil but I'm certainly fair." Crowley told me in a raspy voice as he placed a hand on the small of my back and guided me to the car, Dean opened the back door and I got in.
I slid across the smooth leather until I met the other door. I strapped in and tried not to cry, feeling my emotions rushing the surface. I truly had no idea who I was, where I was going or what I was about to face.
We were thirty minutes into the drive when the guy in the passenger side spoke up. "So, Elle is it?"
"I think so." I answered truthfully. He gave me a sympathetic smile and nodded.
"Well, I'm Sam. I'm Dean's brother. He told me about those guys and I'm so sorry."
The memory of Clay and Davey entered my mind and I looked at Crowley with wide eyes. "Were those your guys?" I snapped, feeling fear creep up once again.
Crowley gave me a sad smile and raised his hands. "I needed to get you somehow. But hey, as far as I was concerned you were this mega evil devil child that would kill me."
I narrowed my eyes at him and shook my head. "So what did you just hire these guys to ambush and drug me or were the beatings your plan too?"
"Just a simple drug and drag, they had to fight you. You were a feisty one." Crowley sighed and pulled out his phone. He brought up the name clay and pressed call.
"Hello imbecile how are ya? Yeah it's Crowley. Listen, so the girl you kidnapped for me...yeah, brown eyes...that's the one...all right, calm down...yeah she is...say that again and I'll rip your throat out! Disgusting!"
A shiver ran up my spine and I felt disgust at whatever that horrible man was saying about me. It's a good thing I'm not some powerful being, I'd tear his head off.
"Yes, well turns out she's not the girl. Mhm...no no, I won't punish you, not for this. Simple mistake really." Crowley continued and rolled his eyes at me, he raised a hand opening and closing his fingers to his palm, mocking him as Clay yapped in his ear.
"Righto. Well I was just calling to let you know that she's not happy with your treatment, and neither am I. You see you took the torture a bit too far and now I have to deal with a skittish vessel and that's not gonna do me any favours. I'd watch your back if I were you."
Crowley hung up the phone and gave me a big smile. "Don't worry, darling. As soon as we get your powers back he's all yours."
"I thought you said you had the wrong girl?" Dean cut in from the front seat, clutching the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were turning white.
"Well I had to say that didn't I. Nobody can know about this. As soon as word gets out that Lucifer has another child, especially a more powerful one, hunters from all over will start to track'er down."
I shook my head and tried to block out all of his nonsense. As soon as we get to wherever they're taking me and I figure out who I am, I'm outta here.
———
I followed them into a run down building that looked derelict. Sam referred to it as "the bunker" and told me how they were legacies of The Men Of Letters, a phrase that meant nothing to me. But I nodded politely and followed him inside.
Something about Sam put me at ease, made me feel safe. Dean had an uneasy vibe about it, sure he might have saved my life with turning his shirt into a tourniquet but right now, he seems like he hates me.
Walking through the front doors I noticed two people stand up and approach us. I hide myself behind Sam's large frame and he held a hand out for me to grab. Worried that Clay and Davey had returned I grabbed his hand and squeezed tight, praying that they wouldn't hurt me.
"You can stop praying, we won't hurt you." One of the Guys said, sounding much different than Clay or Davey. I peaked around Sam and saw a guy in a camel coloured trench coat and a younger guy in a plain white t-shirt and jeans.
“How did. I didn't.. what?"
The man shrugged not knowing what to tell me.
I shook my head, I must be going crazy. I cleared my throat and followed Sam, Dean and Crowley into the parlour. They offered me a seat on the couch and I took it, feeling exhausted and the burning on my thigh increase.
I hissed as my thigh hit the leather and Sam looked at Dean in concern. Dean disappeared around the corner and reappeared seconds later with a medical kit.
Dean sat beside me and gestured to my leg with his large hands. "Can I?" He asked and I nodded. He brought my leg up to rest in his lap and began untying the blood soaked flannel.
The two men stood behind the couch opposite us as Crowley sat down, scrolling through his phone without a care in the world.
The flannel came off and I looked away, not wanting to see the hole in my leg. I heard a gasp and turned to see Dean looking bewildered at my leg.
"What?" I asked before looking down. My pale thigh had a thick layer of blood but there was nothing fresh.
Dean took a cloth and began to dab at the wound, looking at me for a reaction. But it didn't hurt. He did it harder and all of the blood was wiped up, ravelling a scar-free thigh.
"Was there definitely a wound?" The friendly guy in a trench coat asked.
Dean nodded. "Yeah, I plugged it with my shirt."
"I felt it burning a few seconds ago." I told him and he nodded.
Feeling self conscious I lifted my leg from Dean's lap and twisted so I had both legs on the floor and was able to rest my elbows on my knees. I hide my face in my hands and tried not to cry.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and then heard Dean awkwardly clear his throat. "Hey, Elle. It's okay. We're gonna help you ok, well figure this out."
I let out a tired laugh and shook my head in my hands. "I have no idea who I am, where I am or what you people are gonna do to me. I'm willingly sitting on a strangers couch with wounds that healed in a matter of hours. With a guy who can read my thoughts, a guy that was beaten with me but is apparently fine now, his brother and the guy who sent those freaks after me."
"Hey, we can help you." Dean confirmed. I sighed and pulled myself up to look at him, I raised a brow and he took a deep breath. "I promise. And I don't break promises."
"No offence but that doesn't mean much to me."
"I wouldn't expect it to." Dean nodded with a chuckled. "But give me a chance."
