Hello, I finally got the courage to interact with you. I just finished writing a fic, then suddenly got an idea after finishing it. 😭😭😭 like nooo I just spend hours writing one, dont make me write another- Basically, I've been listening at the song Renegade for hours while writing and was like, holy- this might fit him. Okay, imagine imagine this General Lilia, you were just out to gather some food, then you stumble upon this ethereal injured fae. Because you just dont have the heart to leave the kid so you decided to bring him to your home (Yes, you first thought he was a kid) 🤣🤣 and then tended to his wounds. Then one day you just woke up, with him staring at you unblinkingly (⓿_⓿) And when you heard his voice, yup you knew he wasn't a kid lmao. Like how can you forget faes are known for having youthful looks

Of course he needs to leave, but he will stop by occasionally. Then you guys got close then you guys went past the friend part 🤭🤭😏 Okay, then one day, he advises you not go out too late, like go home before it gets dark, but of course where's the fun in listening to him.(￣y▽,￣)╭ Yeah, let's also add that you guys have a lover's quarrel before he lefts he pulls :

"You dont know me; You just know my name." And then your hurt self decided to wander then didn't realize the time.

Eventually, you get kidnapped cuz you didnt listen to him and itz all your fault. Then when he decided to come by at night, because he's a creature of the night, he didn't see your house lit. He thought you were just asleep, and just convince himself he was just gonna take a peek at your face then go back. AND THEN (for the 10th time lol) *insert Lilia's shock face* he didnt find you 😭😭 and man he is like (►__◄)

Fast forward, he finds. Before he unties you, he lifts your chin with his pointer finger (probably the only time he'll tower over you for real) and then, "You should've to him listen to me" Then the guys who kidnapped you realizes there's someone trying to free you. Then our Lilia shoves us to his chest 🤭😘, then pulls his shiny cleaver, and then proceeds to beat those guys while holding you protectively and making sure your eyes are not traumatized. Then after the ordeal was done, you were pretty shocked cuz he's been pretty gentle with you all this time albeit a little bit of tsundere. Like you just can't believe he did that. (You dont know he's the General of the right of the fae army)

"Don't you know what I am?" He says, but you're like: your a fae, what do you mean???? Then man sighs at how naive you are. Yeah, you guys make up (not make-out but why not 😏) in the end.

To be honest, this is exactly what Riot did prior to Arcane and a little bit after its premiere. Throughout the years I understood more and more that these fuckers should never be trusted with anything so I take every damn thing with a grain of salt. It makes life more enjoyable 😗

You know what, let me tell you a story called ✨Riot's most notable attempts to explore Jinx's romantic potential throughout the years✨

I'm gonna start with something that doesn't really count. Doesn't count at all, actually. But still kinda does, in my opinion (and my heart 😆). An official crack ship that Riot's staff clearly put for the sake of making a pun. it's totally not the reason I decided to write this post at all, I swear I present to you Jhin/Jinx - the first attempt to toy with the idea of jinxomance.

It was obviously a one-time joke, but I'm so glad Riot's first thought was to make a Valentine's Day card about two characters whose four-letter name starts with J and who are cruelly misunderstood artists in nature (THIS IS EXACTLY MY TYPE OF HUMOUR, I'M SO SORRY, THIS IS EXACTLY THE SHIT I'D PULL IF I WAS THERE). I love it, honestly, it makes me feel like I overdosed on ascorbic acid in the best way possible.

Yes, Star Guardian counts too, actually! In a very "mahou shoujo classic slight yuri that leads nowhere, but it is not really queerbaiting because there's almost nothing going on between anyone, let alone these two" way (you can tell I've been a victim of this one too many times 🚬💀), but it DOES count. Basically, they let Jinx have quotes and moments that could be read BOTH platonically and romantically (Jinx is a tsundere-type character in sg universe so it gives a LOT of freedom to interpretations 🤣☝️). Unfortunately for lc enjoyers, chances of something going on between the girls seemingly went down the drain. For many, many, maaaany reasons. But especially when Ezreal came in. I'm sorry, I have to say it, ezlux has more support from Riot than any other ship combined since it's their absolute favourite go-to pairing, with which they can play safe all the time. All in all, it can be considered the first and it seems like the last time they tried to play with the concept of somewhat romantic lightсаnnon.

"But Valoran Town-" First, Valoran Town is meant to be a wild rift ad in a cute animated form where they made all their poster characters friends, so it's very logical Riot would put them in there as bffs, especially considering they made lc bffs in sg before. Second, all the possible romantic undertones between any characters are erased completely (again, except for ezlux, BECAUSE IT'S SAFE TO PLAY).

Also, off topic but kinda not, I noticed how animators made Jinx and Ez do the targonian lovers pose in the intro of Valoran Town. Like, in a very blatant way. But it doesn't lead anywhere (it's just an easter egg). Although, personally, I think it would be fun to watch if they acted on implications.

However, the most famous (prior to Arcane) and undoubtedly clear attempt to make a pairing with our bombastic lady is the whole ordeal of Jinx and Kayn in Odyssey. And not gonna lie, it worked on me because the concept is batshit hilarious while being very suggestive. But this level of blatantly horny dynamic did not work for general public so Riot never attempted to do something like this again. They swept it under a rug and forgot about it, just like with the previous cases.

Despite what some fans (mostly lc ones in my experience) may tell you, jinxomance didn't work in terms of financial benefit. As a separate character? Yes. As a part of a pairing? No.

And then... came Fortiche with their timebomb agenda that slowly caved its way into Riot's chambers. Fortiche's relationship with this particular pairing is actually suspiciously simple 😑 because a lot of things suddenly start to make sense (like why their creative freedom is seen the most with these two characters - to the point where every timebomb scene could be considered a part of an art portfolio) when you learn that their first two projects for Riot were: 1) Get Jinxed music video (Jinx's character trailer); 2) Seconds cinematic (Ekko's character trailer). They're basically Fortiche's babies. It was seemingly pushed by them (even if unintentionally) to the point where certain people on the Riot team started to notice.

I can only guess what happened later.

From now on, everything that came after late 2019 - early 2020, when Arcane was finishing its development of season 1, could be considered an engagement test.

At this point it was pretty clear Riot understands that general public loves Jinx and Ekko as separate poster characters.

The question is, would people enjoy them as a couple (which, contrary to popular belief, doesn't happen often in league). Couple that, most importantly, could help make profit.

Would people buy twice as many things as they did before if they see these two together?

Would people engage with content more than they already do just to learn what both of their favourite characters are up to?

Would people be more inclined to invite new clients just so they could, for example, play the game™ with characters that have matching skins?

The answer is yes, judging by the general reception of this pairing after diabolical Arcane season 2 - the complete public adoration mixed with the absolute international success of "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" (performed by two of the most influential and talented artists of our generation) that exceeded all expectations (which I'm sure at least one of the producers is angry about, because they missed a huge financial opportunity by not giving it promotion - luckily, it was so good it didn't need one).

All in all, as long as timebomb continues to bring money to the company, it won't fade away in favor of other pairings. In fact, it's most likely that the company will focus their attention on it in an attempt to figure out how to make them even more profitable.

I know. Seems like a very materialistic and cruel view of things. But it is what it is, unfortunately.

I respect what jihoon said the most like reader can be persistent as much as jh wants to get his redemption. Reader hit the nail on the head when she said he doesnt love her, he only loved being pined after, because thats exactly what it is from her perspective because jeonghan seriouslyyyyy fucked up instead of being honest to his feelings or aware. At this point im so pissed off w jh (the fictional one hehe) and i just want reader to be happy. The friendship dynamics in this are the absolute fucking best !!!!!! Seriously the office culture and dynamics in this MADE the story and i lived for it. I just want reader to transfer and live her hot girl life while jeonghan pines and lives in a puddle of regret. He's gonna need to show a lot more sincerity. Right now he's just trying to prove himself, as jihoon said he's just trying to redeem himself by doing all these flashy things that are just making reader question him more and make her feel like shes being mocked. As cheol said, he needs to put himself in her shoes like the underdeveloped eq jh has in this 💀. Goes from i hate you to i love you in a week and wonders why his sincerity didn't reach. i sweaaaaar he frustrates me like nobody else ughhhh the way you made his flawed character was so good like u had me feeling so much anger over a fanfiction 😆. It balanced out so nicely like the cluesless jh and cheol who sees the bigger picture and wants his friends happiness and then reader who is passionate in her love and jihoon who is really mellow but sees everything for what it is. Then we got the trouble makers and office clows along with the dependable friends and bff hao. Hsjsjs soooo many good character, this was such a good cast!!!

I like healing loves and loves that complete you, jh feels more like a puppy crush that makes ur heart race, the kind love that breaks ur heart and u have to learn from- and thats ok! For example, she has a great attraction to jeonghan and went crazy when he wore the red top (goddamn i would too, that chic office wear????) Like jh excited her but a love like dk feels more like home, you know? What i would tell reader if i could is that life is sooo much more than that boy you think is ur first and last love. Sometimes what u really need is ur friends and to enjoy your youth bc this aint it and in my humble opinion jeonghan is not it for her. I know they'll end up together bc its a x jeonghan and this is a fictional world but i took this way too seriously bc i got invested LMAO. I thought it might be fun to analyse Ue's personality based on his stand, the traits of the Munchkin cat because WHY THE HECK NOT BAHAHA 😂😂😂

I'm sure most of you already know what a stand is but just to rehash according to the official translators,

"The stand is a supernatural power unique to the manga series Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It is an entity physically generated by it's proprietor - generally referred to as a "Stand User". It is viewed as a physical manifestation of an individual's innate "fighting spirit" and embodies, to an extent, the individual's psyche."

Love the Jojo reference Kizu, I love how she always shamelessly references other manga. We love a mangaka who just owns that she's a fangirl of other mangas.

Ue definitely embodies the munchkin cat to a tee.

People definitely seem to just naturally congregate around Ue even though he is a bit of a moody sleepy boi but for the most part, we often see Ue being quite social, eating lunch with his friends and hanging out. In Chapter 6, Mafuyu mentions to Akihiko that Ue is quite popular at school. Itaya even complains in Chapter 7, "Why is Ue so popular?" Ue's popularity however isn't because he's traditionally charismatic but because as Mafuyu points out,

"Ue's genuinely really kind to everyone."

Ue also is constantly referred to as the typical "Ikemen" type because he naturally just oozes this protective and willing-to-give-a-helping-hand-without-anything-in-return vibe, even when he has absolutely no idea as to what he is doing LOL

Munchkin cats are incredibly physically affectionate towards their owners. Ue is such a ~Tsundere~ LOL but he such an affectionate bean. I mean we all know Mafuyama fluff so let's look at how he engages with other characters. Ue's love language is absolutely

The moment Ue saw Kasai crying and apologising, Ue's naturally defaults to giving Kasai a head-pat SO CUTE (>////<)

The moment Ue received blessing from Haruki for Mafuyama to start dating, it's like he can't help but show his gratitude by giving Mama Haruki a hug THAT SCENE HAD ME ROLLIN'

1) Ue is absolutely one of those people who only talks when necessary. He is not a gossiper and he means exactly what he says. Once Ue's at ease around someone, he doesn't feel the need to keep the conversation going, he is happy to sit in comfortable silence and just enjoy their company. For example, if we observe conversations between Ue and Mafuyu, they are not the type to keep talking for no reason. Once he gets comfortable sitting beside Mafuyu, he can just enjoy Mafuyu's presence (provided that he doesn't die from gay-panic LOLLLL).

2) And oh my....no wonder he made such a fuss in Chapter 18/Given OVA!

Our munchkin cat really needed some physical affection from Mafuyu after not seeing him for so long T_T

Gotta get that classroom kiss from Pomeranian boi otherwise Ue's not gonna stop purring 😆😆😆

It goes without saying that Ue is really smart. Haruki mentions in Chapter 17 that Ue doesn't really study and scores mid-range at his highschool, which is presumably a really competitive highschool to get into. Also he does well in all the science and maths subjects!!!

Honestly, I haven’t been playing as much. The constant events and lessons and then the cards and added characters just made me go Ooof on it…plus difficulty spike andkskss

YES! I hate what they did with the whole blephie part! They just put everything under the rug and I for sure would never trust him and would use the pact to keep him away and he would have to make an effort to get me to like him at all let alone be in the same room.
