Replaying Drake’s Deception (again), and Sully’s line “You know, you really should start carrying matches,” (or something very similar) when Nate asks for some light made me immediately think of Elena’s line in A Thief’s End: “Don’t worry, I brought some matches.”

I love him but Nate really wouldn’t last more than a couple of days without Sully and Elena.

THE GREAT ABW HEIST

Previously, Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher (Uncharted) decided to team up with the Leverage team in order to infiltrate the ABW corporate headquarters. The reason for this is that there is apparently a clue to buried treasure in the HQ. Although Nathan and Elena are reluctant to work with new people, they decide to give the partnership a shot, especially since the Leverage team were highly recommended by Victor Sullivan (Uncharted).

The plan was going smoothly…until someone from the Leverage team got caught by security. This forces the team to switch gears in order to rescue…

Um...lol a little bit happy with it but I'm pretty nervous about my Fanfic and I will get nathan back one more time (Sorry, naughty Dog (ESPECIALLY DRUCKMANN), fans and Nathan, but lol) it will really be the very last time and he is forced like in uncharted 4 (Yeah, I'm seriously sorry, I swear 😭🥺 the franchise had a great impact to the point of...) well Nathan won't be the protagonist, he will be supporting/guideline following where did the girls go! Cassie will be lol

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Recently Completed: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PC)

This is a 3rd-person action-adventure game in which you play as a retired treasure hunter, lured back into action by a long-lost brother and a legendary pirate's hoard. Unfortunately, a rich boy and the mercenary force he's hired are also seeking the treasure, and they'd strongly prefer not to share. Or let anyone else live.

So yeah! I've been a fan of the Uncharted series for a long time; trying the original was actually what convinced me to get a (used) PS3 in the first place. The games are like breezy, fun action movies that expertly balance traversal, puzzle-solving, gunfights, and impressive set-pieces. This one in particular strikes a somewhat more grounded and heartfelt tone given that family relationships are at the heart of the story, but don't worry, it's also all the other things I just mentioned. The writing and voice acting are excellent, it's fun to play, and it looks great, even a few years after its original PS4 release.

A minor gripe is that the game followed series tradition by having a final boss fight that 1.)relies heavily on QTEs when it doesn't really use them much elsewhere and 2.)was really frustrating to me. But it wasn't enough to sour the whole experience and I'm really excited to play The Lost Legacy, a spin-off that came bundled with the PC port of things game.

(I'm not sure I'll start it right away; as of this writing, the new Zelda game is out in less than a week and I don't think it's wise to start something before that game consumes my waking moments)

Play this game if you can, and then go back and play the other three if you haven't already!

Here at the end, a mild spoiler about a neat coincidence:

The protagonists' name is Nathan (that's me!)

Nathan is after the Captain Avery's treasure (Avery's my son's name!)

The epilogue of the game time-jumps forward about 12-15 years, and Nathan has a daughter named Cassie! (That's the shortened version of my daughter's name!)
