hi! how did you make you banner i love it!! :)
thank you! iāll give a detailed rundown under the cut! i was actually in the middle of making a new header when you sent this, so good timing!
a quick explanation is that i cut out an image, paste it onto a fresh canvas, edit to my desire, and then use a gif overlay on top to give that snow effect!
so iām going to explain this in as much detail as possible to try and make it as clear as possible, so hopefully this will be useful no matter how much PS experience one has! i used photoshop cc 2017 to make this! iāve learned ps pretty much through just trial and error so if i do things weird, im sorry sdklfjdslk
start:
the first thing i do is open a blank document in PS sized to the tumblr header size which is 640x360 on mobile, you can size up if you want, but just keep the ratio the same!
player image:
so first i grabbed a picture, and for this i prefer pictures where the player(s) is(/are) isolated, and itās even better when thereās not much going on behind them because it makes it much easier to cut out the part you want!
the picture i used for this is from this post on the yotes instagram!
next, i open this up into PS, so i have both the photo and the blank canvas (red arrow) open. the blue arrow points to where you can change workspace presets to allow different tools onto your workspace. iām currently using the photography preset, but will eventually switch to motion later on.
now i begin cutting out my player. thereās multiple methods to do this and each once has itās pros and cons. the quickest way for me is not necessarily the best way, but it does what i need it to do, especially when the item to be cut out is isolated in front of a quiet background. i use the quick selection tool to quickly select the area i want with a larger brush, and then i go in with a smaller brush size to clean up the edges and details.
when the option with the plus is selected you are grabbing more area, and when the option with the minus is selected you are are deselecting area. the 22 highlighted above references the brush size, the appropriate brush size, or what is ābigā or āsmallā will depend on the size of picture youāre working on so just play around with what youāre comfortable with!
nick is selected, as you can see below, with the line around his body. this is not quite as careful as i would be if i was actually making this for someone to use, but for demonstration purposes it works. you can zoom in further and use the smallest brush size possible and really be careful cutting things out. you can zoom in but uping the number at the bottom left handside of the screen!
once you have everything selected, right click and choose layer from copy which will create a new layer with just the area you have selected.
now i turn off the layer with the full picture, leaving only the layer i just created. to do this, click the little eye next to the bottom layer on the right hand of the screen, as seen below.
now youāre left with a transparent player to work with! this is where i do any coloring i want to do as well, so i will quickly do that. i am not great at this part so i will just recommend looking up coloring tutorials if you want more specific help here, or just mess around with different adjustment layers which is what i do lol. once itās colored to my liking, i merge the layers together, making them into one layer, which means the coloring wonāt impact any layers below it once i move it to the canvas where weāre actually going to create the header. you do this by selecting all the layers (ctrl + click all the layers or shift + click the top and bottom layers to select them all), and then right clicking and selecting merge layers from the options.
assembling the image:
now im going to work on the base of the header, or basically the rest of it except for the moving bits! what i want to do here is move the player image over the header canvas, resize the image, decide on the color of the background, whether iāll use any other images or textures, etc.
first iāll think about my background color of choice. a lot of people use the color that they use for their mobile blog on here, or something complimentary or matching their accent color, etc. i really like a simple clean look so i used a white background for this header because i think it makes the image itself pop and allows the accent colors on my blog to also pop because i use white as my main color on my blog.
if i wanted to use another color, i normally pull from some part of the image iāll be bringing over. for this iād use the color dropper tool (see below), clicking on color on my image i want to use.
then iāll pull up the color boxes in order to create a custom color from that color (click define custom colors), and then you can mess around with by clicking different boxes on the color scale along the right side of the panel below, or if you want an unrelated color, click on parts of the entire rainbow scale thing. once you have a color you like, selected add to custom colors and you can work with it. i create a new blank layer and then use the paint bucket tool to color it in. this is where you could also use gradients to jazz up the background a little too.
now iāll drag my player over into the header canvas. i do this by click + dragging the layer from the right side over to the tab of the header canvas until the screen changes over to that workspace and then i drop the layer onto the canvas.
and
now nick is over on the blank canvas but as you can see, he needs to be resized. so i ctrl + t, which allows me to transform his layer (make sure you only have the layer w the image selected on the right hand side layers panel). i hold down the shift key (this keeps the ratio true) and begin to make him small by dragging the arrows. make sure you do not let go of the shift key too early or it will fuck up the image and make him too long or too wide, etc. then i hit enter, and it completes the transformation. i then drag him to wherever i want him.
now that heās resized and where i want him, i mess with the blending options to blend him into the background more pleasingly. now this really isnāt gonna look good since i was so sloppy cutting him out earlier, but just mess around with it until you get something you like. you do this by right clicking on the layer you want to blend and then selecting blending options. i normally do a drop shadow and maybe some other stuff, but i find this changes depending on the image, background, colors, etc.
thereās a lot of stuff you can do here, with the different options and the different settings for each one!
gif overlays:
now itās time to add a gif overlay which i how get the snow falling effect. thereās multiple posts with these kinds of gifs out there, iāll be using one from this post (method one) and one fromĀ this postĀ (method two). neither are the one i used when i first made this header but i cannot find the one i used then; the principles still apply. now is the time to either add the timeline to your workspace, or change it to the motion preset.
on the timeline section at the bottom of the page, there should be a create timeline animation button, click that.
as with gifs from videos, thereās multiple ways of making these gifs. iāll run through two here.
method 1: this is the method i used when i first made this header!
if you use a gif overlay, and it comes with frames, create as many frames as that gif comes with to then copy those frames onto. open your gif and see how many frames/layers. this one has 29 as you can see below.Ā
now click the little button with lines at the top right corner of the timeline. it looks like this.
next click select all frames from the menu that pops up, and then select that menu again and click copy frames. now go back to your header and create the frames i talked about earlier, you need 29 (or whatever it may be for your gif). do this by selecting the button below, located along the bottom of the timeline. do this as many times as needed until you have enough frames.
now select all the header frames once again and go back to the menu where you copied the frames and select paste frames this time. a menu will pop up, and choose paste over selection. this will match up the frames/layers so frame one of your header will match with frame one of the gif. adjust the gif size if you need to, once again using ctrl + t, and make sure you still have all the layers selected and that you are still on frame 1. also make sure you move these layers under nick in the layer order.
now adjust the frame rate. this will depend on your tastes entirely so test it out. my go to frame rate is 0.05 for everything i do pretty much, as a baseline, and then i adjust from there. to do this, once again select all your frames. next, click on one of these little carots, select other, and input your frame rate in the box that pops up.
method two:
this method is when your overlay comes in timeline form (idr what itās called) instead of frames, looking like this.
drag the layer from the layer panel onto the header canvas, just like we did with nick earlier. make sure it goes under nick in the layer order. adjust the size if necessary, still using ctrl + f to keep the shape. make sure to click this button at the bottom left corner of the timeline to convert the frame into a timeline.
now, make sure to drag each layer to the same length, aka whatever length the gif layer is. make them match!
changing the color of the overlay:
this works with either method above! create a new layer and fill it with the color you want the snow to be. place it below everything except the background layer. add a gradient layer on top of the gif layer. right click on this layer and click create clipping mask. this is what my layers look like, i donāt normally label them but hopefully this is clear.
open the properties panel for the gradient map and make sure this gradient is selected and is black and white.
finally, change the blending to lighten on the gif layer! this should do the trick!
final touches:
i like to kind of have my header melt into my blog color, so i like to kind of transition the bottom of my header into whatever color my blog is. to do this, i use a multitude of methods. for this header in particular i used the eraser tool + a textured kind of fan brush to swipe back and forth creating the half erased look at the bottom. the setting seen below are probably similar to what i did when i originally did this header!
again, this is something that you can play with a lot yourself, especially by downloading brush packs and seeing what cool textures you can create.
saving:
to save, file > export > save for web
make sure you select āforeverā and notĀ āonceā so that the gif loops!

gif method 2:
(ignore how this is also different i had to remake it once again bc i didnāt save it lmaoooooo)

2019 Art Summary!
It's that time again when we all look back on the year we've had and reflect, and then look forward to what's to come in the New Year. This only my second year doing a yearly Art Summary piece (I didn't miss February like I did last year!) but I'm grateful for the tradition now. Looking back, 2019 had a lot going on for me and my art; I started out not that different from how I've been handling my art and myself online for the past couple of years, but as the year went on, I feel like I've done a lot of growing, finding myself, and even though I didn't start off in a terrible place, I think I'm in a much better one now. This really was a year of tremendous personal growth for me, both in art and just in life, and I can only hope that continues through the New Year and beyond. (As sappy as that is to say, I really mean it.) That said, let's look back on 2019 in a little more detail, shall we? January: Birthday Wishes I actually didn't have a ton of options to choose from for this month, as I think I was a little burnt out from the last couple of months in 2018 and giving myself some breathing room. Ā Still, this Shopkin colored to match my actual birthday cake actually remains one of my favorite mixed media pieces I've done. I don't know why, there's just something I really enjoy about how it turned out, for as simple as it is. Ā And for the record, I think I will be doing another custom Shopkin drawing for my birthday again this year, but I haven't decided anything beyond that yet. February: Floating Away (+ Time Lapse!) So as I mentioned earlier, on last year's Art Summary I discovered I didn't have any submissions dated in February and I hadn't yet gotten in the habit of documenting completion dates for my artwork, and so I didn't have an artwork to put there that I could definitively say was done in February. This year, however, February was actually one of my busiest months and I had a pretty wide variety to choose from. I ended up going with my little hot air balloon, as while it's a bit different from my normal work, I still think it's really cute and it also represents one of my attempts to start making videos of my artwork...Which I've been too lazy to do since the few attempts I did during this month... But who knows? I have a better camera and slightly larger workspace at my disposal, so perhaps I'll try again and be a little less lazy about that in 2020. March: Once a Killjoy, Always a Killjoy Oh boy, if past-me had only known what was to come later this year! March saw a lot of pieces from me practicing with watercolor and new supplies, but I think my favorite to come out of the month was my annual artwork to honor March 22nd, the anniversary of when My Chemical Romance, my favorite band, broke up. Only this time instead of doing pure fanart, I made myself into a Killjoy for the occasion. Ā (The design of which needs to be revamped a little because my hair is purple now, but that just means I already have one option for the anniversary this coming year!) And once again, this is a mixed media piece that I look back on very fondly. The concept is fun and the end result looks pretty cool. April: Doodle Moon I leaned pretty heavily into honing my watercolor craft in April, and among those efforts, this one is definitely my favorite. (Even if it doesn't fit on this template very nicely ) This one was a bit of an experiment in branching my traditional and digital art together in a different way, and I still really love how it turned out. Although unfortunately, I've yet to return to this technique, simply because I feel weird a lot of the time about "half finishing" a traditional piece and then making a lot of modifications to it digitally. It feels like cheating or being fake in a way to me. But I think I get that hangover from the concept of editing photos online and then passing them off as real & unedited...in which case it's a personal problem that I just need to deal with on my own. May: Butterfly Babe I didn't have a ton of artwork in May, but what I did have were usually bigger/more involved pieces, and this one is no different. I think 2019 is the year when I really came into owning my love for mixed media (which comes in large part from "I'm not good at x thing with y supply, but I can do x effect with z supply really well!") and this piece is a really great example of that. Once again, still one of my favorites and the scan really doesn't do it just with all the sparkle/metallic accents I incorporated. And I think I want to do more involved almost crafty projects like this more often, but that usually comes down to having the right inspiration to make it happen. June: Bug Girl Funnily enough, June 2019 is now my busiest month of all-time (in the almost 9 years I've been here on dA), and yet I only had one "real" piece of art for the Summary. Ā This was the month when I really got heavy into making my own Swatch Charts/Swatching Resources, and while some did carry over into July, the bulk of it was posted in June. I have to say, I don't think a ton of other people are using the charts, but I've certainly been getting good use out of them! And if I'm being honest I mostly wanted them for my own personal use anyway. Ā But for the artwork that you see here, this is another mixed media piece, this time commemorating one of my favorite books I've read this year, How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasgow. The artwork itself had some annoying problems in development, but the result is really beautiful to me, and so I think it was worth it in the end. July: Homemade Mini Sketchbooks! This month is more of a craft project than artwork, but I couldn't help myself as these little sketchbooks I made myself are probably one of my most favorite projects I did in 2019, and these first two spawned many more afterward. Ā It's funny to me because I've always wanted a way to combine my loves of books and art beyond just illustrating my writing (which isn't always something I feel like doing) and this, while maybe not a perfect solution, is definitely a unique way to do that. Plus, while making each book does take a little while, it is usually a pretty fun process now that I've gotten the better hang of it. These first two books aren't perfect, but they kicked off something I think I'll be sporadically doing for a good while to come. August: Mon Cher It feels like a lot happening this month, despite not having quite as much art as other months this past year. The month started off with the end of our family vacation, and I posted a journal when I got back where you can see that part of the reason this month felt so busy is that this is probably when I had the most new art supplies available to me to test out/play with during the year, including some items that I got at the tail end of July. Ā Out of the options I had though, this artwork seemed like the best choice to represent this month, as just like in April I leaned pretty heavily into using and practicing with watercolors and painting in general (as I dipped my toes into seriously painting with Acrylics this month too) and this is one of my more ambitious watercolor pieces. As I said when I first posted it, it has its mistakes and growing pains, but I still think it's really lovely. September: Fly By the Moon I was actually surprised, looking back, at how busy September was. My second acrylic painting (this one more in-depth than the first), an array of cute kitty drawings which have sort of become a series now, some personal pieces, and two contest entries. (One of which actually won!) I went with the acrylic painting since I'm still very proud of how it turned out, given that I don't use acrylics terribly often and hardly ever I go for realism (even semi-realism like this painting) either. Plus, this one is a nice memory of the two real luna moths that visited us, and I had to admit that it is just really nice to have a full painting on a canvas to hang up too. Ā I haven't done much more with acrylic painting yet, but I definitely want to. My main issue is that for me it's hard deciding on a good subject for the way I like to paint that I don't feel like would look equally as good if not better with a different medium. But hopefully, I'll find more excuses to break out the acrylics in 2020. October: Ink Dance Oh boy, what a month this was! Ā Inktober, new mini-magnets, trying gouache for the first time, and on the very last day the news of the decade (at least for me) that My Chemical Romance is back! Ā I followed my same principle as the art summary last year where it just doesn't feel fair to pick a favorite Inktober or use the wrap-up picture, so that left me with my gouache pieces or this one that looks more like a normal person's Inktober artwork, and out of my options, this is the one I like best. The gouache paintings aren't bad, I just need more practice and this one has more charm to me. And it's also funny to me that I was so concerned about ending up hating this one for the stippling and yet it turned out to be one of my favorites from this year. November: I will be with You The artwork for this month was pretty much a no-contest. I made this piece as a love letter to My Chemical Romance after the news of their Return, and likewise, I poured my heart and soul into it. It just might be one of my most favorite artworks to date; perhaps even worthy of being a "portfolio piece" on my website. Even more so after the fact now that I've seen the Return concert (albeit over a Livestream and not in person because California is like 2-3,000 miles away from me ). I was pretty busy throughout the month trying to keep up with a prompt challenge from Art Philosophy, but even so, I pushed myself to get this piece done and I'm so glad I did. December: Daises on Strawberry Hill Ah, and here we are at the very last. It's funny, the first half of this month seemed to drag by pretty slowly, but then after the second week things picked up pretty quickly (what with the Return concert and all) and I have to agree with my mom that Christmas went by so fast we almost missed that it happened at all. I don't have as much to show for this month, but that's in large part because I've been taking time off for my mental health and to spend time with and enjoy my family. I'm pretty happy with everything I produced this month, but my Looking for Alaska inspired art is definitely my favorite of the bunch. It's very graphic-design-ish and despite at the time having been done rather quickly and not super precisely, looking at it now it reads very cleanly. It's a little outside my normal art realm, but if anything I think that makes it stronger on its own. Ā I'm still chipping away at my longer review of the Hulu series I originally made it to talk about (like I said when I posted it, I have a lot of thoughts I want to talk about and not rush through), so I am indeed still planning on finishing and posting those...I just don't know when that'll be, considering I've already got a bit of a content schedule for myself going into the New Year, but eventually! Eventually, it'll be done! Overall, I'm honestly very happy with what I've managed to accomplish this year. Just like last year, I did a lot of experimenting with new supplies and new mediums--this time some I thought I'd never touch--and I hit even more milestones, including my first Daily Deviation in November. I feel like I've grown significantly more as an artist and a person this year though than I did last year. And in many ways, I feel like this year has renewed my confidence in my own skills and work. I'm not much of a "New Years' Resolution" type person, as I think the concept as tied to that particular phrase has been...I'll be generous and say overinflated and mistreated...but some of my Art Goals for 2020 are: Post more consistently/regularly (which I worked on a lot in 2019 too) Be more active & engaged on social media (I've already started working on this a little, but for some reason, this is honestly kind of hard for me as I always debate what's worth sharing online and what isn't ) Promote me and my work/art outlets more (Also something I find hard to do) Keep experimenting (Not really a goal so much as my artistic state of existence but whatever ) This past year has been one heck of a wild ready, but I'm more than ready to see what 2020 has in store for me. Cheers for the New Year ahead! ____ Artwork Ā© me, MysticSparkleWings Art Summary Template: 2019 Summary of Art Template (Blank) ____ Where to find me & my artwork: My Website | Commission Info + Prices | Ko-Fi | dA Print Shop | RedBubble | Ā Twitter | Tumblr | Instagram

ITāS OFFICIAL!
Pairing :Ā MIN YOONGI X READERĀ
Genre : FLUFF, ANGST, BOSS A/U
Word Count : 2545
Exiting the elevator, you scramble through the moving crowd towards your department. Though you were running just two minutes late, you were sure your boss is going to make a good big deal out of it.
The Click-clack sound of your three inch stilettoes reverberated through the deserted corridor as you scurried through the huge glass door and into your cubicle. Collecting your laptop from your work desk you noted that the entire office was almost empty which meant only one thing. Today is once again a lucky day for your ass of a boss Min Yoongi to have a go at you.
You worked on the editorial team of āTHE FAMEā one of the best-selling magazines.
Adjusting your obsidian suit one last time you held on the cool metal knob of the conference room, inhaling few deep breaths you took confident steps inside with an apologetic smile on your face.
āI am extremely sorry for the delay.ā You bow once and make your way in the direction of your seat which was right opposite to Min Yoongiās. But when you placed your laptop on your desk and looked up, you find him standing near the huge glass window watching the gigantic blue canvas outside. Without glancing in your direction, he comes back and settle in his seat. While you were still standing, surprised that he didnāt make a comment on your late arrival. But perhaps you thought a bit too quick.
āClearly the word āpunctualā doesnāt exist in your dictionary, right, Ms._______?ā
On meeting your eyes, an evil sneer played around the corners of his lips as he saw the redness blooming in your cheeks.
āHow Unprofessional for an Art Director of such a reputable magazineā¦ā
The usage and emphasis on the word Unprofessional stung. Your jaw rooted while your eyes were focused right at your bossās amused ones. Why he behaved with you this way was still a mystery to you. Even though you sat on such a high post, he still treated you as an amateur intern. Sometimes you pondered if he bothered you just for his pleasure because somehow, he loved to test your patience, so much that there are times when you were just on the verge of breaking but had to compose yourself.
You breath out slowly through your nose, trying very hard to not show your annoyance and let the asshole win the satisfaction and in doing so your eyes met with your colleague/best friend Kim Namjoon. The moment his soft eyes met yours, routinely your shoulders relaxed, and you smiled unconsciously.
Min Yoongi was relishing in his own bubble of fun as he saw those soft cheeks of yours glow red due to annoyance, but it burst in thin air as his eyes landed on Namjoon, smiling up at you. Yoongiās expression hardened as you smiled back at him, evidently relaxing. He sat a bit straighter in his seat, speaking exasperatedly, āI donāt have all day, Ms.________.ā
You looked up at your boss as your name fell bitterly from his lips and cleared your throat. Looking straight in his eyes you began, āI am sorry for walking in two minutes lateā¦ā you patted your back in your head as you saw his lips twitch at your confidence but then you looked around at others and continued āā¦but letās begin ladies and gentlemenā¦ā
The meeting was smooth but crucial. Apart from discussing last monthās sale, you had to discuss about the upcoming editorial and how to increase the sale from the previous one. But these were general topic of your conference which happened every once in three months. But something more important was to be conversed, Christmas was just around the weekend and your company is known for throwing the most sensational gettogethers. Since it involves all the top-class yet scandalous personalities, it was always anticipated by one and all.
Suggestions bounced around in the air as everybody came up with their own ideas for the party. Topics varied from the venue to cuisine to the list of guests and so on and so forth but all the while you could feel Yoongiās eyes on you, and you could swear this was not the first time. It sure made you uncomfortable, as if he was trying to figure out a flaw even in your respiration. As usual whenever you came up with a suggestion Yoongi would dismiss it saying, āitās too clichĆ©ā or āwe have done that beforeā which did nothing to calm you but rather pushed you towards the edge. Another hour, but the meeting finally came to an end. Giving his last instructions Yoongi walked towards the door. And as soon as the door closed behind him you could practically hear everybody heave a sigh. Slamming your laptop, you look at Namjoon who was already staring at you. āCOFFEE!ā you both giggled as you exclaimed together and left for the cafeteria.
You slammed the light Styrofoam coffee cup on the table, few globules dribbling its way down burning your own fingers while sure to leave coffee stain on the huge table.
āAh! Why lord? What have I done to deserve this!ā you grumbled wiping your fingers with a Kleenex. Namjoon and Hee Ji, another of your colleague/friend sat opposite to you admiring their whining friend. They knew very well that this was the repercussion of every interaction you had with Yoongi.
After exiting the conference hall, you had halted in your cubicle to leave your bag and laptop while Namjoon stood near the door talking about the upcoming schedules. You were just in the process of jotting down an important task on your yellow post it when Ha Ri, Yoongiās secretary entered your cubicle.
āMr. Min wants to see you.ā She had entered impromptu and left without even getting an answer from you. You had derived this long back, that no matter how many years you spend working with Yoongi and his secretary, you will never be able to know why they treated you so bitterly.
You narrated the entire conversation with Yoongi to your friends while they simply kept on munching on their brunch.
āHave you got the article ready for the blog?ā Yoongi questioned without even lifting his eyes from his laptop.
āYes, just a final touch is remaining.ā You replied with pride since you had worked for three days and night continuously, sacrificing your precious sleep and which was one of the reasons why you were late today.
āGood.ā he looked up at you. āScrape it out, we donāt need it anymore.ā
āIt took me three days to complete thatā¦and he just dumped itā¦just because his precious Ha Ri suggested that they make a vlog instead of a blogā¦!ā you exclaimed through your gritted teeth.
ā________...ā Namjoon began but you cut him off.
āAnd thatās not it! He has the audacity to label me as old-school. Me! Old-school! Can you freaking believe it!
Both your friends were quiet, listening to all your pent-up frustration.
āDo you know how long I have been working in this company?ā you questioned as you banged your fist on the table.
Hee Ji sipped her coffee and looked up ready to reply but once again you interrupted her.
āThatās right! Five years! Five freaking years I slogged in this company and yet that perverted jerk thinks that IāM an unprofessional, old-school amateur!ā
You kept on spilling indecent remarks about Yoongi but that was not the matter of concern right now for both your friends who sat right opposite you. They gaped behind you with wide eyes, because right behind you stood their Editor in Chief, Min Yoongi.
His black framed reading glasses was resting on the bridge of his nose, perfectly complimenting his mint blue hair. In one hand, he held a tall coffee mug while the other was tugged in his knee length pea coat. His eyes were fixed on you while he sipped his coffee with an unresponsive face.
āAh, _______ -ā It was once again Namjoon but you just kept on mumbling absent-mindedly.
āNo! just because he is the Editor in Chief doesnāt give him the right to treat me or anybody else that way. I am telling you he is just another rich, spoiled bratā¦ifā¦ā
You well-nigh jumped out of your skin when both your listeners yelled your name in unison.
āWhat the hell is wrong with you people?!ā when none of them answered you simply follow their gazes which was fixed on something behind you.
āSHIT!ā was all that you could manage as you faltered out of your seat and faced Yoongi.
Yoongiās gaze felt like daggers, and when you did meet his eyes, you didnāt know how or why, but your heart skipped a beat. He took slow steps in your way. The silence was intense in the entire lunchroom as every eye was fastened on the two of you. You kept your eyes on the ground because you were mindful that this time it was your own deed. You watched his feet clad in polished pointed-toe leather shoes take careful steps across the glossy tile.
When he was just a foot away, you looked up and felt as if you were being chased by a slinking panther. His impassive eyes boring into your very soul. Somehow, you were prepared for the explosion and, so you held his gaze, but when he cleared his throat and voiced your name your eyes instantly fell on his mouth. His lips were a pale pink. The top lip was thinner, but not too thin, and it had a natural cupid's bow; the bottom one was larger and plusher. They reminded you of a small dollās lips which was totally bizarre compared to his personality.
āWould you like to have some coffee with me, Mrs. _______.?ā
Your eyes enlarge as you attempted to grasp his words. āW-what?ā
āGood. Iāll see you in my cabin in five.ā Affirming crudely, he treaded sideways as he brushed your shoulder making his way out of the lunchroom.
You just stood there gaping at the unfilled space which was occupied by Yoongi just a breath ago. Did he just ask you for a coffee? Even though he did, deep down alarm of danger was blaring. You turn around to face your two colleagues, not very amazed to find their dumfounded expressions.
You groaned loudly making your way towards your seat, ready to slump down but halting halfway when Namjoon spoke, āYou better not keep him waiting. Also, donāt forget his coffee.ā He said as he pointed towards the tall navy ceramic mug which Yoongi left on the table behind you.
You gave a dull laugh, āWhy would I-ā you stopped when you saw Namjoonās eyebrows shoot high under his hairline. A slow snarl building in your chest as you picked up Yoongiās mug to fill it with some freshly brewed coffee.
Filling his mug to the brim, you turned around and walked towards your friends. Placing the mug on the table you run a hand through your hair, breathed out a few times and then started towards Yoongiās cabin.
Both your friends gestured a fist as they whispered, āGood luck.ā
āAs if thatās going to helpā¦ā you answered as you left the lunchroom.
Your heart hammered against your chest when you heard the curt, āCome in.ā
As soon as you placed the cup down you gibbered, āMr. Min, I can explain.ā
He just sat there with his left hand tucked under his jaw, his fore-finger erect on his cheek while the other three fingers were placed above his lips. With legs spread wide as the right hand was loosely resting on his thigh. He looked like a powerful man.
Damn! He is a powerful man. You made a mental note to yourself that no matter how profoundly you detested this powerful man you must be watchful with your words, particularly in this building.
When there was a lack of response from his side, you simply continued, āItās just thatā¦I worked really hard on the article.ā
āSo?ā he prompted.
Observing his blank appearance, you let out a lungful. āSoā¦nothing...ā did you think that he will understand when you give this reason? Foolish. He would never understand you.
āI, will gladly except the punishmentā¦ā
He smirked. āPunishment?ā you felt uncomfortable when you saw the similar wicked spark in his eyes, the one he has when he is about to give you additional work.
He beamed putting his gummy smile on show. āNo, punishments. Do you think I am that evil?ā
No punishments, but you were sure that he is going to give you some added work to slog. You waited for him to speak again.
āAfter looking at your enthusiasm I have decided that we will do the blog.ā
Something was abnormal. Was Min Yoongi supporting you? Whatever it was you felt stated as your hard work was paying off.
You bowed once. āThanks Mr. Min. Iāll complete the article quickly and e-mail it to you today itself.ā You bowed once again and turned on your heels ready to leave.
But today, Satan was himself keeping an eye on your happiness.
āMs.________ā you turned to look at him and Yoongi got up from his leather chair. His hands slipped in his pockets. He spoke as he moved towards you, āWe still donāt need that article.ā
You stared at him bewilderingly. āT-than?ā
He stood right in front of you once again. āI selected a new topic for the article. I have e-mailed it to you.ā
You kept on looking at him as his lips stretched into a wide smile.
Freaking bastard! Your inner self screamed, but you stopped yourself from screaming on his face.
āI want the report by tomorrow evening.ā
āHow is that possible!?ā his unresponsiveness was getting on your nerves. āBut Yoon- I mean Mr. Minā¦at least give me two daysā¦ā you tried.
āI donāt think you are in a position to negotiate.ā
āButā¦ā you were cut short when he leaned towards you. You took a step behind, but the desk blocked you. Having no choice but to look up at him, you inhaled the scent of orange blossoms and vibrant woods that was strong and manly. You found yourself drowning in the smell, liking it against your wishes.
āNo butās Ms. _________. What was thatā¦?ā he pretended to think and then continued, āā¦perverted jerkā¦spoiled bratā¦ā he smirked as he inched closer while your eyes were fixed on his soft lips and the way a little pout appeared every time he spoke. āSince you think I am a āPerverted jerkā let me act like one for youā¦ā he tilted his head and inched yet closer and you could swear that this time you felt his hot breath ghosting your lips. Shutting your eyes with knotted eyebrows, you stood there waiting forā¦ you donāt even know what you were expecting. Was he going toā¦?
But after a heartbeat you felt him stepping away. Indeed, he had stepped away holding his phone up. when he saw the dazed look in your eyes he merely smirked and concluded, āStop day-dreaming and get to work Ms. _______.ā
And with that he left you standing there by yourself with a thumping heart and an undefinable feeling.
