Heyyooo Atlas!! I wish you would write a fic where Sora and Riku took a break away from all the chaos. Like, in a modern au they’d just drop everything on a winter break and drive across the country (or not, just a few towns over) and they’d go to a cabin in the forest that Riku somehow owns. Anyways, it’s well-maintained and Riku’s been stressing but he’s more worried about Sora and why he’s so quiet lately. Nothing serious, they just need a break :’3 domestic fluff, y’know?
Alrighty, you got it! Thank you for the ask and for being patient with me! :D Might be a little OOC in some parts but either way, I hope you enjoy ^^
For When the Shivers Aren’t Just From the Cold (SoRiku, 1587 words, rated G)
This whole trip seemed a little... off. Riku and Sora had been driving nonstop for the past two hours in hopes of beating the weather only to be cold-cocked by a snowstorm halfway there. By the looks of it, it wasn’t letting up anytime soon either. That wasn’t so strange. Neither were the red tail lights that stretched on for at least another mile ahead of them. The radio quietly droned the same few Christmas songs that every radio station boasted at this time of year.
That was strange.
Well, not so much the music itself, but the fact that Riku could hear it. Usually when they traveled together, Sora would be the more prominent source of noise in his car. This silence was particularly unnerving.
“So, uh,” Riku said, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, “what did you think of Mr. Hemway’s final?”
Sora kept looking out the window at the snow. It typically never took him this long to answer a question. “Sora?” Riku looked over to make sure he was alright. Wait, were his ears always this red? Riku turned the heat down a little, thinking that it might help Sora cool off.
Finally, he replied, “It was pretty easy, I guess. I didn’t really like... oh, which one was it...” Sora tapped at his forehead, “number 32, about what themes were present in that excerpt.”
Riku chuckled. “Yeah, me either,” he said. And once again, the conversation died out. It had been like that all day today, ever since they got to the university at around 9 this morning. It was now around 7 and completely dark, save for the artificial lights surrounding them. The lack of natural light and the stress of college classes were enough to stress over. Worrying about Sora on top of all of that was enough to tip the scales in favor of an impromptu vacation. At least traffic was moving now, even if the snow hadn’t let up a bit.
Once off the interstate and down several back roads, Sora finally spoke up. “Hey Riku, do you think there’ll be enough snow for us to play in?”
“Hmm, I think there will be by tomorrow”, Riku replied, glancing over. A small smile had snuck its way on Sora's face. Oh thank goodness, Riku thought, maybe it was just my imagination after all. The two turned onto a narrow snow-covered driveway that was nestled in between the surrounding sections of evergreen forest.
"Your place is so far out in the middle of nowhere. How do you not get lost?" Sora chuckled.
Riku smiled, relaxing a bit. He didn't even realize he was this tense. "It wouldn't pay to have a cabin in the woods if I forgot where it was, would it?"
"Hehe, I guess not," Sora said, tucking his hands behind his head in typical Sora fashion. Riku could swoon on just how cute Sora was when he was being himself. "Are we almost there?"
"Yes, oh ye-of-little-patience." And sure enough, the house was just beyond the curve, nestled comfortably among the woods and snuggled up in a thin blanket of sparkling snow. Riku turned the car off and popped the trunk. "Come on, let's get all of this inside before we freeze to death," he teased.
---
“Wow, Riku, I never knew you had it in you to make something like this!”
Of course, Sora had to scope out every corner of the cozy log cabin as soon as they stepped inside and turned the lights on, including the stone fireplace and the empty refrigerator. “Oh please, you’ve known since we were kids that I liked building things, how is this a surprise?” replied Riku.
Sora chuckled. “It’s not a surprise as much as an ‘I never thought he’d get around to it’ kinda thing,” he said. “Count me impressed!”
“It’s not very hard to impress you,” said Riku with a smile. “Make yourself at home. I’m gonna get a fire going.”
It hadn't taken long for the boys to get settled in to the cabin, mostly because neither Sora nor Riku had bothered unpacking anything in the slightest. They just slung their bags in the bedroom, forgotten amidst the chaos. Even the cooler full of perishables sat disregarded in the kitchenette floor.
Sora busied himself with unpacking the half-thawed groceries while Riku made it his mission to check the chimney for anything that may have holed up in there for the winter. Thankfully, it was creatureless, but the firewood stores in the house hadn’t been replenished. So that’s what I forgot to do last time, thought Riku. Riku went to grab more wood out of the firebox back behind the cabin. He shivered at the biting wind and snowflakes that clung to his hair and eyelashes, but nonetheless retrieved two armfuls of firewood in record time.
By the time he made it back inside, Sora was huddled on the couch under a giant blanket. Neither of them particularly liked the cold, but Sora seemed to be taking it a little harder. “Cozy over there?” asked Riku sarcastically.
“M-Mmhmm,” Sora sputtered.
“Liar.”
Sora stuck his tongue out at Riku, which Riku smiled about. Always such a kid. He started stacking the wood and some kindling in the fireplace, then lit it. The fire was a little slow to start but picked up nicely after a minute or so. Soon, the whole cabin would be nice and toasty. Until then though…
“Hey, let me in, I’m cold too,” Riku said, nudging Sora.
“Nuh-uh, you big meanie.”
Riku completely disregarded Sora’s protests and nestled into the blanket beside Sora. “We’ll warm up faster if we huddle together.”
Sora pouted. “I know.”
Riku wrapped his arms around the smaller boy, hugging him tightly to his chest. Sora melted into the embrace and the shivers stopped. Riku smiled and placed a gentle kiss on Sora’s hair. Now that the two were comfortable on the couch, Riku turned the TV on to some cheesy romcom they both liked.
It was awhile before Riku broke through the droning on the TV. “Hey Sora?”
“Yeah?”
Riku suddenly felt a little unnerved. “Um, earlier today… You were acting really different,” he said.
“I was?”
“Yeah. I could actually hear the radio playing in the car today with how quiet and still you were being.”
Sora thought a moment, then looked up at Riku. “Oh, that. It’s just been a little rough this semester, what with all the finals and planning this trip and work and going home for Christmas,” he replied. “And uh, maybe… planningasurpriseforyou.” He mumbled the last part, but Riku understood.
“A surprise, huh?” Riku chuckled, idly petting Sora’s soft, spiky hair. “I can hardly wait to see what it is.”
Sora sat up suddenly and moved to face Riku, and Riku missed the warmth his body had provided against his torso. “Since you, um…” Sora started. Riku couldn’t help but noticed how the warm fire light flickered against his friend’s face, highlighting him in an orange glow. Only now did he noticed the blush that adorned Sora’s cheeks.
“Take your time,” Riku reassured, even though he was fairly sure where this was leading.
Sora closed his eyes and thought a minute, the blush never leaving his face. “I know we’ve never really talked about this before… But uh… You know how we’re really close?” Riku nodded. “What if we were… closer?”
Riku narrowed his eyes a little. “What do you mean?” he asked.
Sora scratched at the back of his head, clearly nervous. “I mean…” he steeled himself, sitting up a little straighter, “I’ve uh, had feelings for you for a while now, and when you said that we were going on a short trip, just the two of us, I knew I had to say something.”
Riku nodded, his own cheeks suddenly burning. He had expected Sora to confess to him; he was terrible at hiding his emotions, especially with Riku, but he never expected it to come this soon. He was unsure of his voice when he said, “Sora.”
Sora’s gaze never left his, ever earnest in his behavior. “Y-yeah, Riku?”
“I have a surprise for you, too,” he said, “but I need to go get it. Give me a minute and I’ll be right back.” Sora nodded, rosy cheeks illuminated with firelight. Riku untangled himself from the blanket and ran into the bedroom. He threw open the closet door where all the cabin’s Christmas decorations and spare blankets were stored and started rooting through a small box near the top. He pulled a small object out of it, replaced the box a little shakily, and ran back into the living room.
Riku stood behind Sora, the tiny bunch of mistletoe prickling at his skin, itching to be put into use. He nudged Sora and held the fronds above his friend’s head. Sora turned around. “Riku, what’s th-“ His voice failed him when his eyes landed on what Riku had in his hand. Riku capitalized on that moment of silence to press his lips lovingly to Sora’s. After a few moments, Sora melted back into Riku, clutching desperately at his shoulders. Riku worked an arm around Sora and placed a hand at the back of his head, deepening the kiss.
After what felt like an instant and an eternity, the kiss broke. Both boys looked at each other with awestruck wonder.
“I love you, too,” Riku softly said, pulling Sora close to his chest again. “Merry Christmas, Sora.”

Annual, Part 2
This is a huge male stuffing/weight gain commission for Doom7951 from over on DA. This chapter, Dorian gets settled in, and receives but one rule for his stay in the house. Enjoy!
Dorian gripped the steering wheel in nervous anticipation as he rounded the curving tree line, the dense forest road opening up to a stretching green lawn adorned with flowering berry shrubs and tall trees with dangling fruit. The soft grass below was short and tidy against the cobblestone approach, which reached out to the castle-like mansion ahead. “Woah…” Dorian whispered in awe at the sheer size of the warm brown structure ahead, the peaks of the chimneys casting endless shadows to the east under the radiant glow of the evening sunset. He nearly bumped a water-ringed statue of a portly young god in his state of wonder, stopping close enough to illuminate the plaque below in his headlight. “Indulgence” it stated in swirling cursive. Dorian pulled his car back and parked it beneath a heavily-bearing apple tree. No sooner had he stepped foot outside of his car had Delta pushed the wide front doors open with a wider smile on his face. “Welcome to chez moi, mon’ami!” Dorian gave a little wave and retrieved his one and only bag from the passenger seat, shutting the door with a heavy thunk. Before he could even look up, Delta had darted across the cobblestone and was standing just a few feet from him. “Gosh, it seems like ages since we last met! You look so thin, have you been eating enough?” “Uh, y-yeah, I guess… It was just two weeks ago- woah!” Delta scooped him up in his arms, bag and all, and began slithering along towards the house. “We must get you fed and pampered at once! How I could I let a poor cute guy like you fall into such a state?” “I-I’m not that cute!” he could only think to stutter in reply as he was whisked into a great hall decorated with pink and white vases of fragrant pink flowers, classical paintings of both natural scenes like the well-known enchanted forests and landscapes with the portliest of historical figures (of varying species and sizes, from the regularly chubby human explorer to obese academic catboys to those graced with fluffy bunny ears and a weight in four digits), and wide chaise lounges on either side of a massive stainless-steel elevator. Delta carried him beneath a marble arch and into an equally grand dining hall, where plush chairs sat at either end of a table wide enough to drive on. And on that table, a cornucopia of dishes awaited, spaced evenly and with tiny, gourmet arrangements that would make any artist glitter with jealousy. “Here we are! Let’s just get you settled in, hmm?” Delta hummed delightedly as he carried Dorian to a comfortable chair at the head of the table, setting him down like fine china. Dorian sat, looking out at the sea of food before him. “I-Is this… all for me?” he stuttered, looking up at Delta. “Of course! How will I learn what flavors you like best without a preemptive taste test? The plates are numbered, so when you’re finished, just put the plates you like to your left,” he explained, placing a finger on the table. “And the ones you don’t like, to your right. Don’t be afraid of hurting my feelings, sweetie. It’s my duty to play off of your palate, like a bard plays to the ear. Go on, try something~” Dorian looked out to the numerous dishes, and randomly picked three of the closest by: a colorful cup of fruity sherbet, a small slice of pie, and a slice of glazed ham. Delta watched with intense interest as he nibbled at the ham, and before he was even finished, the plate was lain to his left. “I see you like more savory flavors! Please, try another.” Dorian stabbed at the pie next, taking a more generous bite this time. This plate, too, ended up at his left, in the “good” pile. “Wonderful! I’ll be sure to keep you stocked with pie after pie, aha~” The cycle of delicious samples and leftward plates followed by swift and thrilled praise continued for what felt like hours, Dorian’s belly feeling increasingly like a packed balloon of abundance as the samples diminished. With a leather belt protesting and a thin layer of perspiration on his brow, he finished the final plate, a chunk of grilled salmon in butter sauce. With a little sigh, he weakly nudged it to his left, slowly laying himself down against the table. “Sorry darling, but there’s no time for sleeping yet! I still haven’t showed you the rest of the place, come on!” Delta hoisted him up by his arms, dragging him over to the door. “I-I can walk! I’m just… full…” he exclaimed, stifling a burp. “Right, right. You’re just so cute I want to carry you all over like a little kitty!” Delta giggled, but put him on his feet nonetheless. The snake-slime held the door open for Dorian, who wandered into a large room filled with stainless-steel counters and more cooking apparatuses than he’d ever seen on every cooking show combined. “This is the heart and soul of casa Delta; the kitchen! You’re more than welcome to cook up whatever you’d like during your stay, but remember; you’ve got a 5-star chef willing to cook you anything and everything. You only need to ask!” Dorian nodded softly, still a little woozy on his feet after the sampling session. “Onward!” Delta spun on his tail and marched (slithered) his way back out through the dining hall, leaving Dorian staring at an intricate blue door that sat between two rows of ovens. Gold inlays swirled across its surface, spiraling down to a gilded doorknob with a large, yet simply-shaped keyhole. “Hey, back through here! Plenty of time to explore the kitchen later, dear~” Dorian snapped out of his food daze and hurried back out to join him, a hand atop his painfully swollen belly. The pair crossed the main hall and into another side hallway that opened up into a large-windowed resting area with bookshelves, a TV, a full bar, and many comfy-looking chairs, couches, and window-seats. “This is the lounge! I’ve spent a fair number of winter days here myself, I hope you find the entertainment to your liking as much as I do! And, as always, If you need anything-” “Just ask?” “Now you’re getting the hang of it!” Delta giggled, then slithered his way back to the doorway. “Come; your room awaits!” Dorian rested against the couch for a moment, then hoisted his aching self back to the main hall, where Delta waited patiently by the large, open elevator. “This is the express deluxe service elevator! Goes straight to your bedroom, isn’t that cool?” Delta giggled. “Y-Yeah… why aren’t there any stairs, though?” Dorian asked, stepping into the elevator to join his host. With a love seat, a food cart stocked with fruit, golden mirrors, and carpeted flooring, it felt less like a freight elevator and more like a quaint drawing room. The great doors slowly retracted with a little *ding*. The ceiling hummed promises of great internal machinery as the room was lifted gently upwards. Dorian settled back into the velvety chair, letting out a little burp as he landed. “Still stuffed, dear?” Delta grinned over his shoulder. Dorian gave a quick nod and a half smile, leaning back in diminishing discomfort. Delta looked back to the door. “We’ll have to work on your capacity. A good chef caters to his guest, but a good guest has duties too! And that includes eating every crumb of every meal.” Dorian gave a little chuckle, but judging by the cat-like grin reflecting in the elevator doors, he wasn’t entirely sure he was joking. The elevator stopped with the softest lurch, and the doors slid open once more, opening to a spacious bedroom. The royal blue carpet, stone fireplace, and dark wood furniture aroused old memories of classic novels he’d read in the off times at work, but the plasma screen TV and glass-plated control panel on the wall belied modern modifications. “For now, I’ll bid you adieu, and leave you to get settled in. Do feel free to roam; I’ll ring you for dinner.” Dorian gave a little nod. Delta turned back and coiled his tail into a pink pile besides the panel. “Oh, just a little house rule: try to stay out of the private rooms. My home is yours, but I expect a very small measure of privacy. You’ll know the doors by the small snake mark on the doorknobs. Other than that, do as you wish! And above all… have fun!” “Uhm, noted.” Dorian acknowledged. Delta’s smile widened. “Good! Be seeing you, cutiepuff~” Delta blew him a little kiss as the doors closed, leaving him alone in the room. In less overwhelming circumstances, he may have blushed at the flirtatiousness or asked more about the mysterious rule, but he just put his bag down and flopped on the bed. Free reign over a mansion for a year. A year! A year of indoor pools, game rooms, fireside reads, runs through blossoming apple trees and all the finest food he could eat. With all of this extra time, he could finish all the books he’d been planning, he could slim down and get a body worthy of a magazine cover, he could learn to paint and play the piano and just… …relax. He took a deep breath. ‘This is going to be the best year of my life.’

Beautiful Homes of Instagram: New England Home
How wonderful it is to have you here today. Thank you so much for the visit my friends! I am also really grateful for having Ellen Sharpe of @featherglass on our “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” series. Ellen is a wonderful person and she has a home that should not only leave you inspired but also more relaxed… and get ready for this: her kitchen island seats eight! I am in love with her entire kitchen and I am sure you will love it too. Here, the homeowner explains more about her style:
“To say I was thrilled when Luciane asked me to be a part of her “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” series is an understatement! When I had only dreams of doing my renovation and addition, HomeBunch was a major source of ideas and inspiration for me.
I have always had a love of interior design. I would spend hours thumbing through magazines. But now with social media, there is so much design inspiration at your fingertips. During my renovation I started really working on building my instagram account to capture and share my process and ideas. It has been a wonderful experience where I have gotten to meet so many amazing people, including Luciane! I hope my followers are able to get daily bits of inspiration that they can translate into their own homes. I love when people reach out to me for design help and I am even able to offer remote design options.
My husband, my daughter and I (plus 2 adorable West Highland Terriers) live just 10 miles north of Boston Massachusetts in a small New England town. We bought our neglected little bungalow just down the street from where I grew up. Although it was in severe disrepair, the cottage like exterior and the stone chimney in front drew us to it. An initial renovation to make the house livable kept us happy there for years but ultimately we needed more space. We weighed our options and decided a renovation with a 2 story addition to include an open concept living space and master suite was what would work best for our family.
To save money, we upcycle a lot of materials and use repurposed furnishings. My design style tends to be light, clean, classic and comfortable. I love mixing in some French and farmhouse elements as well.”
Get ready to feel inspired and pin a lot!

Back View
Previously the back of the house had a pretty treacherous long set of stairs. We decided to break that up with a few steps down to a raised stone patio.
We utilized the help of Orazio Guevara Sr. from JustDrawit https://justdrawit.com/ to draw up our building plans. I knew I wanted to open up the back of the house to the outdoors and to flood the inside with natural light. The windows and doors on the first floor helped us achieve a classic New England look.
I always loved the look of copper gutters but that just wasn’t in our budget so we went with aluminum and chose the bronze color which gave us a similar look.

Bachelor Apartments That Exude Great Taste & Sophistication
http://cdn.home-designing.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/bachelor-apartments-600x401.jpg
Bachelor apartments have a bad rap. When imagining a bachelor pad many people would think of a somewhat unloved, unkempt kinda space, that’s crying out for a feminine touch to kick it back into touch. But hold on. These three apartment tours are here to knock that misconception on the head. Home number one is a dynamic design that challenges the stereotypical interiors ideals. Tour two takes New York loft style to an apartment in Bangkok, Thailand, with a stunning bedroom and home workspace setup. Interior number three is an upscale Russian man cave filled with moody monochrome contrasts. All three exude enviable taste, and brim with polished sophistication.
Architect: Kupinsky & Partners
In this nonconformist abode, the interior design laughs in the face of conventionality by placing a home gym in a prized part of the open living room. The gym area is even lit around its edges to draw extra attention.
A TV lounge neighbours the gym. The screen and some sizable speakers are set against rugged living room wall texture, which builds an imposing black accent. The black media unit, coffee table and black sofa are broken apart by an intense red carpet.
An open staircase design rises through the centre of the lower floor layout. It divides the TV lounge from another cosy sitting area with a roaring fireplace.
The wood burning stove is situated beneath an eye catching chimney design. Two sleek armchairs rest side by side to watch the flames leap.
A polished marble floor reflects the glow of the fireplace.
Above the lounge chairs, a masculine piece of artwork climbs the double story height of the impressive sitting room.
The ceiling height dips over the kitchen…
… A unique kitchen pendant light descends from the slope.
The kitchen island is a split design that features a wooden dining surface at one end. The stylish kitchen bar stool design is the Hee bar stool.
Lowered ceiling height above the home gym accommodates the installation of a large punch bag. A custom cut mirror reflects form during workouts, as well as bouncing more natural light into the room.
A small pouf sits between the home entryway and gym, both for putting on outdoor shoes and workout gear.
Upstairs, the bedroom is set into the eaves.
A low bed and bedside table fit neatly under the roofline.
Black metal railings side the staircase and form the headboard wall.
A glass wall bathroom makes the bedroom seem bigger than its actual floor area.
Black sanitaryware, black fixtures and bathroom vanity lights add to the shadowy drama of the bathroom scheme.
Architect: ONG & ONG Visualizer: Tero Design
This loft style apartment is located on the 49th floor of the Circle Prototype in Central Bangkok, Thailand. The bachelor home is part of an exclusive high-rise condominium, and has been revamped to embody total sophistication. Warm timber backdrops and monolithic minerals come together to build a New York feel. A 270 degree viewing range opens the home up to an exciting city skyline.
Confident blue accents uplift the grey and wood tone interior. A black side table and square coffee table add strength and weight.
Gold accents and a designer table lamp top the black stained coffee table.
The other side of the room is dedicated to a home library. An elegant lounge chair, side table and round footstool furnish an understated reading spot by the window.
Stainless steel wraps the base of the bookcase with a light reflective quality.
All of the wood effect wall panelling, furniture, and even the kitchen are built in the same material to create one cohesive flow.
Monochrome marble clads a showstopper of a kitchen island.
Cylindrical lights protrude out of the ceiling above the kitchen island, cutting boldly through the cityscape behind. Black kitchen bar stools line up to take in the view.
White marble floor tiles form a chevron pattern across the entire living room.
Three bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms and balconies are concealed strategically by ornamentation around the interior. The stunning master bedroom is combined with a spacious home workspace.
The silhouette of the modern home office desk is minimal so as not to obscure the panorama.
A dividing wall is cut through to connect the workspace, bedroom, and the urban horizon.
A small seating area is tucked behind the cream platform bed.
The upholstered bench is accompanied by a unique wooden side table.
A walk in wardrobe completes the master suite.
Designer: Sivak+Partners
This 81 square metre man cave in Omsk, Russia was created for a young bachelor who wanted to upgrade his old house. Simple monochromatic decor builds a strong and settled feel.
The lounge stands open to the kitchen diner. A round dining table echoes the outline of a stylish pendant light. The table’s pale base compliments the colour of the kitchen’s beautiful stone countertop and backsplash.
Light monochromatic decor is swapped out for its darker alternative in the bedroom. A white bedside table lamp pierces a black headboard feature wall.
Industrial style decor envelops a dividing wall that separates the sleep space from a dressing area.
Glass closet doors display the clothing collection. LED light strips softly illuminate garment racks and shelves.
On the opposite side of the industrial styled dividing wall we find another glass closet.
In the monochrome bathroom, bold black marble clads the tub. A wooden ladder shelf brings in a warmer tone.
A subtly textured feature wall ripples behind the shelving unit and a modern pedestal sink.
Floor plan.

Enjoy your winter vacation with this electric fireplace
Are you interested to enjoy your vacation in chill climatic place with the electric fireplace? You all know that in hill stations the climate will be very cool. For that reason people create a fire in a place and get heat which will be very helpful at the time of the winter. In ancient days, the man booted a fire in a place with the help of stones, some sticks and dry leaves. But now days all has become a technical based, because our science has been developed at large. This electric fireplace produces a smoke environment and also ash will be there.
Electric fireplace in modern time:
First of all, electric fireplace is quiet similar to electric heater so that produces the heat with the help of natural gas, burning coal and wood. This electric fireplace is the new technology because in old days, people just boot a fire in outside of their home and makes their body heat. By the technology development it has become an electric thing which you can place inside of your home. It could be often places in the conventional fireplaces that could cork into wall and it might run on the flame setting or it will use as heater which is typically consume 1.4 to 1.6W. It has ability to heat a 400sq ft (37 sq.m) room. When it became an indoor thing, there are many models such as TV stands attached, separately designed. This all are available in electric fireplace entertainment centre where lot of models are available.
Different availability:
There are many types are there such as TV stands, and shelves etc. which are available in electric fireplace entertainment centre in TV stand that combined with book shelve. At the same time there are some features such as remote control adjust timer logs, flames and thermostat separately that could use either without or with heater. But keep in mind; if it is powered off then flames and logs are slowly turn down. It is burning the logs with the help of embers and it has multicolor frames. Luckily it is the best self regulating and safe heater that could turns off when the temperature exceeds and it also consists of the child safety lock which could accessible with remote control and glass remains cool to touch, also long life LED lights. If you are looking to make your home with all things as traditional one then for that, this electric fireplace is in wood which is fully furnished. It has many facilities such as it can be also used as book shelf, beautiful media room accent, provides storage and perfect for your living room. It is available in free shipping with TV stand for all inches. Also there are electric fireplace which uses very little energy, led’s won’t burn out. Compared to traditional fireplace there are some pros and cons. It don’t need chimneys, are often portable, do not require remodeling to install and also not just more economical, also more convenient and safer to use; do not require the maintenance needed for wood burning or gas fireplaces. The disadvantages are often less efficient because of generating heat; cost more to buy than typical heaters and cannot be exposed to weather. The first thing is to be weighed in size because if it occupies more space then the whole setting in your living room will be collapsed. It energy efficiency is very more and in these more over 90% of electricity is directly converted to heat. Most electric fireplace will cost up to 20% per hour operation in energy costs. Luxury Living By The Ocean
Oceanside and oh-so spectacular, these three luxury apartments are made to wow. Whilst the uninterrupted waterside views are blue, sparkling and stunning, amazingly they are not the stars of the show. These huge homes are set with designer furniture, beautiful lighting, high-end decor finishes and seamless concepts that guide the eye in awe. Luxury living rooms, chic dining room designs, enviable kitchens, commanding master bedrooms and elegant bathrooms culminate into addictive home style inspiration that will have you scrolling for more and more. Without even stepping foot on the sand or taking a single splash in the waves, living by the ocean never looked so good.
Visualizer: Vizline Studio An expansive luxury living room unfolds across a wide waterside view in our first apartment tour. Sheer voiles billow over the ocean panorama. The high-ceilinged lounge area is capped with dark wood tone panelling that’s sliced through with staggered strip lights.
This is a special living room with a spectacular view on two sides. Blue waves ripple around the dining room, where a stunning botanical dining room pendant explodes above the table.
Whilst the sofa and living room rug are light, the coffee table and lounge chairs bring weighty black accents.
A modern lamp leans elegantly over one corner of the grey sectional sleeper sofa, dropping in another dark note.
A common colour palette connects the living room dining room combo, creating one cohesive and sophisticated scheme.
Large format floor tiles sweep seamlessly throughout the open plan.
Black modern dining chairs contrast smartly against a white dining room tabletop.
An impressive spiral staircase design twists up to the second story of the apartment; patterns created on the underside of the treads are suggestive of a giant Nautilus shell.
The luxury kitchen is a two tone design, where tall wood effect units counterbalance the pale finish of base cabinets and wall cupboards.
Two oversized kitchen pendant lights create a large statement over the breakfast table.
Coffee can be taken at the luxe marble kitchen island, which looks outward over the terrace and sea view.
The kitchen’s patio doors lead straight onto an outdoor dining area that sits poolside.
Beige dining chairs and a natural stone dining table complement the kitchen’s oak countertop and wood tone accent cabinets.
Moving into the luxury bedroom, wood panels have been used to build a warm and cosy effect across the headboard feature wall. A unique magazine holder shares the rug space with the platform bed.
The same rich wood tone covers the bedroom TV wall, which is suspended gracefully over a linear modern fireplace.
A bedroom chair pulls up close to the stone hearth.
On the other side of the open fireplace, we find a gorgeous ensuite bathroom design with a freestanding tub.
Visualizer: Kaminskyi Our second apartment is home to another stunning linear fireplace design, which stretches wide across an enormous double height living room. Wood effect panels climb the grand chimney breast, framing in a large TV above the flickering orange flame.
A U-shaped sectional sofa arrangement marks out the lounge, with a light area rug at its core. Caramel coloured scatter cushions warm the look of the cool white couch upholstery.
Clusters of orb pendant lights descend randomly across the vast space to distribute an even glow and spectacle.
Clear glass coffee tables reflect the light at the heart of the room, and suspend decorative items as if entirely weightless.
Glass doors adjoin the living room to the sun terrace, making one free-flowing indoor-outdoor living area.
A small overhang protects the interior from the direct glare of the sun.
The orb lights become dining room chandeliers as we move along the open plan space. Curved back dining chairs stylishly complement the circular motif.
A crisp white kitchen stands just beyond the dining room.
An eye catching modern chandelier serves a gorgeous marble topped kitchen island
Architect: Shelton, Mindel and Associates Two units were purchased and merged to create our third and last apartment interior, in an ultra-luxury condominium development. Two curved sofas surround a custom-built media wall.
Sleek white cabinet doors slide closed to conceal the TV, and reveal two alcoves of decorative shelving on a breezy blue backdrop.
A round dining table was selected to reflect the shape of the neighbouring curved sofas. Bright blue dining chairs add a seaside feel.
Yellow decor elements make a sunny companion to the cheerful blue accent pieces.
A simple console table makes an ideal landing spot for colourful touches to be added to the white hallway. Ribbed panelling adds interesting texture to the long walls of the passageway.
A quirky jellyfish mural swims across a curvaceous yellow storage volume. A circular glass vase makes a clear accompaniment to a pair of transparent acrylic chairs.
More curves characterise a futuristic white kitchen design.
A soft end of bed bench and a headboard accent wall add a whisper of grey to the white master bedroom.
Modern outdoor chairs furnish the terrace, which is bowed like the deck of a ship.
The guest bedrooms of the home are given a high colour treatment, like this vibrant red bedroom design.
The yellow bedroom scheme follows the same colour principles as the red, with accents appearing as headboard wall panels, bordered bed linen, drapes, a stylish bedroom chair, and a colour matched TV remote control tray.
Similar accent pieces set up a blue bedroom in one coordinated sweep.
The final guest room features a three colour floor lamp that pays homage to the three coloured bedroom themes.
In the bathroom, shining chrome framework sharply contains the bathtub, shower and a double sink bathroom vanity.

Cool, Edgy And Comic Book Art Filled Interiors
Edgy comic book art peppers the rooms of these cool home interior concepts, each space imaginatively visualised by Pavel Alekseev. The interiors are designed to appeal to the young homeowner–or the young and wild at heart. Bright colours enliven industrial style backdrops, blazing from eye catching art and sculpture, and slick modern furniture designs. Unique pieces build an offbeat vibe that jostles for attention against chilled concrete floors and rugged exposed brickwork walls. Patinated panels give the modern interiors a strike of interesting aged character and distinctive flair. The eye is led through the spaces, layer by layer, without a single moment of bland.
The ‘superpowered’ living room of home concept number one is a colour rich space with a huge piece of comic art. Modern wall sconces light the piece, along with the expanse of beautifully patinated wall panels behind it.
A wooden bench seat adds natural charm.
A log store is cut into the chimney breast as a tall niche. The modern fireplace stretches along a concrete hearth, flaming behind a glass fireplace screen.
Concrete floor tiles fill the large living room. A swing arm wall lamp extends from a towering concrete column. A Flos Arco floor lamp bows an elegant silhouette across the window.
Red siding is clad on the concrete chimney breast, drawing colour inspiration from the Supergirl artwork on the adjacent wall. An authentic Japanese kokeshi doll takes the red accent to the TV wall.
Turquoise and yellow strike through the room in the form of a double sided sectional sofa arrangement and its contrasting accent cushions. A stunning modern chandelier burns rings of light over the lounge.
A graphic area rug adds a soft spot to the room, along with a number of other rug designs.
Lightweight side tables slot into the gaps between the modern sofa sections, making the whole group easily repositionable.
Gaetano Pesce’s controversial Up armchair poses at the edge of the living room in its red colourway. A low square coffee table lines up in front of the unique furniture.
More modern wall sconces shine down over another contemporary couch, and a cluster of huge indoor plants.
Giant glass cactuses form a fabulously unique room divider.
A modern staircase design rises above the glass room divider. Open risers let daylight push through over wooden treads. Stair lights accompany the climb.
The cactus room divider separates the double sided lounge layout from a formal dining area. A circular rug forms an island for the modern dining set.
The black dining room area rug compliments the depth of the neighbouring black kitchen. A modern chandelier releases pin pricks of warm light over a black kitchen island and attached wooden dining bar.
Waiting comically in the corner of the kitchen, a bright yellow robot sculpture looks ready to serve the table. The imaginative piece uplifts very serious black and concrete grey kitchen decor.
A huge hob extractor unit descends over the central kitchen island, encased in a simplistic minimalist block.
Interior two kicks off with another piece of tribute art to Supergirl. Recessed LEDs spill light over the art’s industrial brick effect background.
Lengths of timber build an attractive TV feature wall with rustic charm.
A light yellow console table is anchored with a punchy black designer table lamp, which is the stylish Atollo lamp.
Metres away, a round coffee table pulls the yellow accent to the centre of the lounge setup.
A smaller coffee table pulls up by the opposite sofa, on top of a two-tone area rug.
Tobacco brown lounge chairs add an earthy tone to the decor palette. Matching accent cushions are scattered across the stone grey sofas.
The rectangular dining table comfortably seats eight on cushioned modern dining chairs. Wicker dining room pendant lights build texture.
Various colour upholstery shakes up the dining set design.
Another seat of colourful dining chairs stand within an L-shaped kitchen design.
A simple glass vase decorates the small dining table.
A patinated kitchen backsplash draws between wooden base units and white uppers. Tall cabinets strike a stronger note in matt black.
The hallway is home to floating storage and vanity units, with undermounted LED ribbons to exaggerate the weightless effect. A large decorative wall mirror cuts a circle into the wood clad wall.
Digital illustration art by dvrkshines peers into the mirror from the other side of the entryway.
Last up, this grey home interior has some very unusual additions.
A hanging seat swings in the lounge, forming a third side of seating without physical bulk and encroachment on floor space.
A unique wall clock puts a fun primary yellow accent onto an exposed brick wall.
There is a mix of styles at play in this apartment. Here, a chic Eames bird ornament is placed right by a humorous oversized Medicom Batman Bearbrick.
Another bear figurine is positioned under the spotlight of a modern floor lamp.
Bug eyes peer up from a novelty magazine holder.
Comic book art explodes from the TV wall. Harley Quinn and Joker figurines stand on a stickered media unit.
Glued to the sticker style, the kitchen is a riot of graphic art.
