"... death isn't like the last ship east in autumn; if you miss it, you're stuck where you are for at least three months until the weather improves. Death is prepared to wait. It's always there for you, like your mother."

Ask the wise men at the university what truth is and they'll tell you it's the consensus of informed and qualified scholars, based on the best evidence available. Availability is governed by what gets burned in the meanwhile, but I see no real problem with that. All living things change or else they die, and why should the truth be any different?

— when he kisses you
including. zhongli, cyno, diluc, kinich
genre. making out & slightly suggestive, gn! reader

— zhongli
alongside zhongli, you feel his presence instantly, it reminds you of a comforting and reassuring constant— a cradling you wholly worshipped as the bustle of the harbor behind you faded away.
"thank you for showing me this place," your eyes glow as you said softly, glancing up at him, "it's beautiful."
with you, zhongli can leave his stern demeanor behind for once and actually smile, wholeheartedly, his golden eyes warm just by the mere sight of you, "it is a place i often come to for reflection."
"i thought you might appreciate its tranquility."
feeling a sense of peace wash over you, you took in the serene surroundings— the gentle rustling of leaves and the soft trickle of a nearby stream creating a soothing melody as zhongli held you in his arms.
the moment felt perfect, almost surreal.
his gaze was intense, dragon eyes yet so tender when he looks at you.
before you could say anything, he leans in, his hand gently cupping your cheek to feel you on his cold skin— within this subtle second, the world seemed to pause as he fully leans in, his lips meeting yours in a slow, purposeful kiss.
it was unlike anything you had ever experienced before— his lips were soft, his tongue deep, and filled with a profound sense of reverence as he captured you.
your mind swirled with a mix of emotions as his kiss was turning measured, each movement precise and purposeful, as if he was savoring every second— almost as if he was scared you'd one day, disappear from his lonely, immortal life.
the experience he held in life and the time he's conquered was evident in the way he guided the kiss, controlled it, drew you in and made you feel cherished beyond words.
as he deepened the kiss, a heated curl crept up your cheeks, your shyness growing with each passing moment.
you couldn't help but feel self-conscious about your own inexperience compared to his practiced, almost ancient touch— yet, zhongli's gentle and patient approach made you feel safe and valued, as if you were the only person in the world.

— cyno
"ugh— today was exhausting," you exhale shakily, bound within exhaustion, yet your voice was barely above a whisper, not wanting to break the serene silence as you rested against cyno's shoulder.
and well, he? he simply looked at you, his eyes intense yet gentle, "indeed, it was," he agrees with a small smile playing at his lips, "but it was worth it, having you by my side Iimean."
the butterflies finish filling your stomach, and the spinning in your mind begins— fuck, you adore him so much, and the sincerity in his tone made your heart race, "i'm glad i could be with you," you replied, your smile tight to your teeth like you're holding back a grin, "thank you for taking me,"
before advancing, he takes your hand in his, his thumb gently caressing your skin, "there’s just something about you i cannot discern," he begins to ponder, his gaze never leaving yours, "that makes everything we do together feel special."
you knew what was coming— was this finally it? cyno has never kissed you before and beneath your nervousness, your breath hitched in anticipation.
his hand moved to the back of your neck, his touch firm yet controlled as he pressed you closer.
his lips met yours in a kiss that was anything but gentle— it was messy and raw, filled with a demanding passion that took your breath away— it's as if he was waiting, storing this bubbling energy and deep want inside his heart for the longest time.
it pained him, fuck, he wanted to kiss you a million times already.
cyno kissed you as if he couldn't get enough, his mouth moving against yours with an urgency that left you feeling dizzy— truly, you could feel the heat of his desire inside each kiss and lap of tongue, in the way he seemed to pour all of his stored up emotions into every movement.
you moaned softly against his lips, your hands gripping his shoulders for support as he continued his fervent assault on your plush lips.
cyno's kisses were unrestrained, a chaotic mix of tenderness and hunger that sent shivers down your spine, no, it was beyond that— well into the confines of your flesh, he took over as he nipped at your bottom lip, teasing you before deepening the kiss, his tongue exploring your mouth with a possessive fervor.

— diluc
the tavern was quiet after closing hours, even quieter after the last customer have left minutes ago as the dim lighting created a cozy, intimate atmosphere.
you actually favored this time of the night, especially when you helped your boyfriend diluc clean up the tavern, the clinking of glasses and the soft hums of the wind outside the only sounds that were almost as serene and familiar as his tender exhales.
in all honesty, he never wants you to help him, rather does he love watching you wait for him as he does all the work— yet he cannot lie, it makes his heart ten times faster when you really want to help him, just because you love him so much.
"thank you for staying to help," the master of the dawn winery says, despite a little awkward, yet his voice gentle as he wiped down the bar covered in wine, "you really didn't need to,"
"of course, diluc, no need to thank me," you reply, smiling at him. "i enjoy spending time with you, no matter what we do as long as we're together."
he glances at you in an almost shocked expression, like your little confession was struck inside his heart and carved there for eternity, a soft look in his eyes making your heart flutter, "there’s something about these quiet moments that i cherish too,"
you felt a warmth spread through you at his words, they're always so carefully selected, so passionately exuded, and you keep sneaking little glances over to him while he finishes off his task.
as you finished your own, you too noticed how diluc was watching you with a contemplative expression and before you could ask what he was thinking, he stepped closer, his presence magnetic, his smile intoxicating.
he exhaustedly huffs out before nuzzling his head in your neck while wrapping one large arm around your waist.
you giggle, welcoming him and stroking over his silken hair as his lips brushed against the sensitive skin of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine.
the touch was soft at first, almost hesitant, but as he felt you relax into him, his kisses grew more confident.
diluc’s lips moved with a slow, unhurried precision, each kiss a perfect blend of pressure and tenderness— beyond that, he seemed to know exactly where to place them, as if he had memorized every inch of your neck.
the sensation was eye crossing, a mix of warmth and electricity that left you breathless and at his total mercy.
you close your eyes, your fingers gripping his shirt as he continued— each kiss seemingly lasting an eternity when in reality, not long enough.
his mouth explores with a patience and care that enveloped you, all of his senses filled by your scent, the temperature of your body and your traces on his scalp.
the way he kissed you spoke volumes, a silent declaration of his feelings as the way you welcomed it made him feel safe.
when he reaches a particularly sensitive spot just below your ear, you couldn’t suppress a soft moan— and you're a sweating mess by now , yet diluc abruptly paused, his breath warm against your skin,
"did I hurt you?" he asks, concern lacing his voice.
"no," you whisper and tug him closer to you "it feels… incredible."

— kinich
"kinich," your breath hitches the moment you open the door to your bedroom and find yourself looking at the mysterious man you've barely known for a week, a hand over your heart signalizing your surprise.
"you scared me."
"apologies, my dear," he drawls, smirking, his voice smooth and calm, " i didn’t mean to frighten you, i would never intentionally do such."
"—although, i needed to see you,"
you smile at him, slightly awkwardly but granted, he did break into your home.
up till now, the tension eases as you placed your jacket on the drawer next to your bed, "uh, it's alright, it would be better if you could tell me next time."
kinich's gaze softens, a playful glint in his eyes, "so— you don't like when i surprise you?" he says, stepping closer, "the quiet of the night is a perfect time for surprises, no?"
you roll your eyes, feeling a warmth spread through you at his sudden nearness— he's so close, but what was he thinking? what games was he playing and were you even able to participate?
fuck, there was just something different about kinich tonight, a confidence in his demeanor that made your heart skip a beat.
and as he moved even closer, you could feel the intensity of his presence and his signature musk, his eyes immediately locking onto yours.
"you want me to show you my actual reason for coming here?" he toys with you, pinching your cheek.
shortly after, he closes the gap between you, his hand gently but firmly pressing against your lower back as with a swift, smooth motion, he guides you until you felt back against the soft mattress of your bed.
the suddenness of it took your breath away, catching you off guard and as you looked up at him, his eyes glow wide.
"I couldn't help myself, —couldn't get you out of my head," he whispers, his lips a hairbreadth away from yours, "you draw me in like no one else, you put a spell on me or something?"
without another word, he captured your lips in a kiss that was both confident and playful, a perfect blend of passion and control that marked the obvious in his personality.
his mouth moved against yours with a practiced ease, exploring and conquering with a fervor that left you wish for more, thighs clenching— not to mention the intensity of his kiss which was simply overwhelming, in fact, you found yourself surrendering to it, letting him lead you.
kinich's free hand found its way to your hip, holding you firmly against the bed as he deepened the kiss in no time.
for the first time, you could feel the strength in his grip, the possessiveness in his touch, and it made you both a little scared and excited.
beyond second thoughts, his lips were hungry, his kisses demanding and full of a restrained desire that seemed to build up with every passing second he wasn't able to see you.
you melt against him, your hands finding their way to his chest, feeling his abs tightly as his tongue lapped around your own in a masterful dance that left you yearning for more.
"you're irresistible," he admits bluntly before releasing his grip on your hips and sliding his palm lower, "—and every time i see you, i have to fight the urge to do this."

Heart Of The Jungle

Fandom: Kraven the hunter
Summary: You are a healer living in a remote jungle village, renowned for your knowledge of rare plants. When Kraven arrives, seeking a rare herb to save himself from a deadly poison, he’s shocked to find himself drawn to your gentle spirit. As you work together to find the cure, Kraven realizes that for the first time, he doesn’t want to conquer or hunt—you’ve awakened a softer side of him.
Pairing: Reader/Sergei Kravinoff
The jungle was alive with sound. The chatter of monkeys echoed through the dense canopy, and the faint rustle of leaves betrayed the movements of unseen creatures. The air was thick and humid, carrying the earthy scent of rain-soaked soil and blooming flowers. You moved through it with practiced ease, your woven basket balanced on one hip, filled with vibrant herbs and roots you’d gathered during the morning.
Your village was nestled deep in the heart of the jungle, far from the chaos of the outside world. Here, you were known as a healer, someone who understood the secrets of the forest—its dangers, its cures, its miracles. It was a quiet life, one of purpose and simplicity. But that all changed the day he arrived.
Sergei Kravinoff—Kraven, as he called himself—burst into your village like a storm. His presence was overwhelming, a stark contrast to the gentle rhythm of life you were used to. He was a mountain of a man, his broad shoulders and sharp features exuding raw power. His piercing eyes seemed to see everything, and his movements were deliberate, like a predator stalking prey.
But it wasn’t his presence alone that startled you. It was the way he clutched his side, blood seeping through his fingers, his skin pale and clammy. He staggered into the clearing, his voice hoarse as he demanded, “I need a healer. Now.”
The villagers had scattered at the sight of him, their fear palpable. But you stepped forward, your instincts kicking in. “Come with me,” you said firmly, guiding him to your hut. He followed without question, his steps heavy but determined.
Inside your small hut, the air was cooler, the thick walls shielding you from the oppressive heat of the jungle. Kraven collapsed onto a low cot, his breathing labored. You knelt beside him, your hands already moving to assess his wound.
“What happened?” you asked, your voice calm but firm.
“Poison,” he ground out, wincing as you peeled back the blood-soaked fabric of his shirt. “A blade. Didn’t see it coming.”
Your heart sank as you examined the wound. The edges were dark and inflamed, a telltale sign of a fast-acting toxin. You’d seen it before, but rarely. The cure was difficult to make, requiring a rare herb that grew only in the deepest parts of the jungle.
“You’re lucky you made it this far,” you said, reaching for your supplies. “But if we don’t act quickly, the poison will spread.”
Kraven’s jaw tightened, and he nodded. “Tell me what you need. I’ll get it.”
“You’ll do no such thing,” you replied sharply. “You can barely stand. I’ll go.”
His eyes narrowed, and for a moment, you thought he might argue. But then he sighed, leaning back against the cot. “Fine. But hurry. I’m not dying in this godforsaken jungle.”
You ignored his gruff tone, focusing instead on preparing a temporary remedy to slow the poison’s spread. As you worked, you couldn’t help but notice the way his gaze lingered on you, studying your every move.
The journey to find the herb was treacherous. The jungle’s depths were unyielding, filled with tangled vines, hidden predators, and an oppressive sense of isolation. But you knew the forest well, and your determination to save your patient kept you moving forward.
When you finally found the herb, its delicate purple flowers nestled among thorny bushes, you felt a surge of relief. Carefully, you gathered what you needed and began the long trek back to the village.
Kraven was waiting when you returned, his condition visibly worse. His skin was pale, a fine sheen of sweat covering his brow, but his eyes remained sharp.
“Took you long enough,” he muttered, though there was no real bite to his words.
“You’re welcome,” you replied dryly, setting to work immediately.
As you crushed the herb into a paste, mixing it with other ingredients to create the antidote, you felt Kraven’s gaze on you again. “You’re good at this,” he said after a moment.
“I should hope so,” you replied, not looking up. “It’s my life’s work.”
“Why?” he asked, his tone curious.
The question caught you off guard. “Why?” you repeated.
“Why dedicate your life to healing strangers? To living out here, away from… everything?”
You paused, considering your answer. “Because it matters,” you said finally. “Because life is fragile, and someone has to protect it. Even out here, in the middle of nowhere.”
Kraven was silent for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then he nodded, as if accepting your answer.
The antidote worked, though it took time. Over the following days, you watched as Kraven’s strength slowly returned. He was restless, pacing the small hut like a caged animal, but he stayed. At first, you thought it was simply necessity—a hunter waiting to regain his strength. But as the days turned into weeks, you realized there was something more keeping him there.
“You’re not what I expected,” he said one evening, as the two of you sat outside the hut, the jungle alive with the sounds of night.
“What did you expect?” you asked, glancing at him.
He shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Someone weaker. Someone afraid.”
You laughed softly. “I’ve lived in this jungle my whole life. Fear doesn’t get you very far here.”
His gaze lingered on you, and for the first time, you saw something softer in his eyes. “You’re strong,” he said. “Stronger than most people I’ve met.”
The compliment caught you off guard, and you felt a faint blush rise to your cheeks. “Thank you,” you said quietly.
The bond between you grew slowly, like the roots of a tree winding their way through the earth. Kraven began to open up, sharing pieces of his life, his past, his hunts. And in turn, you shared your own stories, your quiet life in the jungle, the lessons you’d learned from the forest.
But the peace was not to last.
One morning, as you prepared to collect herbs, Kraven stopped you, his expression unusually serious. “There’s something you need to know,” he said.
“What is it?” you asked, your heart sinking at the grim note in his voice.
“The herb you used,” he said. “It has a side effect. I’ve… seen it before.”
Your brows furrowed. “What kind of side effect?”
Kraven hesitated, his jaw tightening. “It links lifeforces. Yours and mine. If one of us dies… so does the other.”
The weight of his words hit you like a physical blow. “That can’t be true,” you said, shaking your head. “There must be a way to undo it.”
“Maybe,” he said. “But until we find it, we’re bound.”
You stared at him, your mind racing. The thought of being tied to him—this man who was at once infuriating and captivatingwas almost too much to bear. But deep down, you knew you couldn’t turn away from him now. Not when your lives were so deeply intertwined.
“Then we’ll figure it out,” you said firmly. “Together.”
Kraven’s expression softened, and for the first time, you saw genuine gratitude in his eyes. “Together,”

the idea that 'science' is an unmitigated and inherent social good---a politically neutral and universally beneficial process of accumulating knowledge---is wildly ahistorical and dangerously, wilfully ignorant of the role that science and its purveyors / practitioners have played in imperial and colonial expansion. warwick anderson went so far as to say that colonial medicine was better understood as a discourse of settlement than one of health promotion, & we can see this quite easily in, for example, french doctors' use of the nostalgia diagnosis to guide colonial policy in algeria in the 1830s, attempting to securely settle a french population there; or in the development of a science of 'water cures', spa treatments considered to mitigate the insalubrious effects of foreign (particularly tropical) environments, for which the french army by the 1890s granted routine medical leave because the 'health' of its soldiers was not a matter of individual interest but a state resource.
but medicine is in many ways an easy case when it comes to the relationship between science and the state; all too often we still seem reluctant to acknowledge, for example, the pursuit of economic botany and animal / plant breeding in the early modern period as contributors to discourses of acclimatisation and proto-eugenics, sciences that were given state financial support on these utilitarian grounds & not for any high-minded general pursuit of 'knowledge'; or the development of navigational instruments and knowledge from the 14th century or so onward as a project explicitly funded and intended to permit faster, cheaper, more reliable colonial exploration and travel; or the sheer amount of research in physics and chemistry that has been and is devoted to weapons development or natural resource extraction; or the promise of space travel as a further possibility for obtaining raw materials as well as for settlement---often marketed in terms and visual rhetoric explicitly comparing the 'space colony' to its terrestrial precursor: 'the final frontier', depicted as both lush tropical paradise & as rugged american west, waiting to be conquered & brought to heel.
i am of course not hostile to 'science' in any totalising way; this would be as indefensible a position as the automatic 'defence' of all such practices; they're not monolithic or intrinsically doomed to serve state interests. but it is simply irresponsible to pretend that the scientific inquiry into something---describing it, measuring it, taxonomising it---is inherently a social good, or that the pursuit of 'knowledge' is ever an apolitical endeavour. knowing, seeing, & measuring the world grant immense power; states and empires know this. scientific inquiry is not tangentially related to imperial and colonial expansion; often it is a critical piece of the machinery by which these processes occur. wilful ignorance of this fact in favour of an optimistic conception of science as a universal social good is not just inaccurate but propagandistic & an advancement of state & imperial interests.

I adore your stories, I would love if you wrote a story with Azriel and reader, where she is touch starved, and has been her whole life as she came from a bad family and then she and Az are in a relationship and he figures it out, so makes sure he’s always holding her hand or touching her leg etc. thank you!!
thank you!💜 tbh if I was with Az I'd make him carry me everywhere, I'd cling on like a spider monkey
Evening Admissions
Azriel x Reader fluff
Leaning back from the mirror, you took in your reflection, smoothing the loose curls of your hair as you grinned at the new dress you donned. It was your first starfall in the Night Court, and with your mate, Azriel.
The bond had snapped months ago, both of you recognizing that you were in fact, mates. You were new to the Inner Circle, just settling into Velaris as your home, and the both of you had decided to take your time to get to know each other before accepting the bond.
Practically glowing with joy as you thought through your plans for the evening, you bounced towards the door when you heard Azriel’s knock. You had to bite back a giggle as you thought about his reaction when you would tell him that you were ready to accept the bond. Opening the door, Azriel’s hazel eyes locked with yours, before slowly dragging down your body, those eyes darkening as he took in your appearance.
He cleared his throat in an attempt to gather his composure. “You look beautiful,” he rasped. With a smile, you took his arm with no hesitation. Until now, you had held back your urges to touch your mate, self conscious about how desperately you longed for his warmth. But tonight, you were ready to commit, all that mattered in the world being your mate here with you.
Azriel blinked at the contact as you looped an arm through his, leaning on his shoulder as he guided you downstairs and out the door. Once you were outside, he scooped you into his arms, your body curling into his as he shot to the skies. “You look very nice too, by the way,” you murmured into his ear, admiring the blush that dusted his cheeks at your comment.
When you landed at the House of Wind, Azriel tracked how reluctant you were to let go of him, enjoying the feel of his hands sliding down your waist as you smoothed your hair from the flight.
Your smile lit up the room as you entered, grasping Azriel’s hand in yours as your other hand wrapped around his bicep. Feyre caught your eye from where she stood, waving before coming over to greet you. “You look gorgeous,” she gushed, causing you to blush under the High Lady’s praise as you reciprocated her compliments, clinging to Azriel throughout the conversation.
Azriel led you through the crowd as the both of you said your hellos to everyone, Cassian giving you a knowing grin when you leaned into Azriel, your thumb brushing his arm affectionately as he spoke. “One moment,” Azriel interrupted, pulling you away from the conversation and out onto the balcony.
“Love, is something wrong? You have been clinging to me all night.” At your concerned expression, Azriel clarified, “not that I don’t like it. I love having you near me, I just want to ensure that you feel comfortable tonight.”
Sincerity shone in those hazel eyes, comforting you as you took a deep breath. “Nothing is wrong, Azriel. It’s exactly the opposite, actually,” you admitted with a small laugh. Your mate studied you, slight confusion on his face as you continued. “I feel safe around you, something I haven’t felt in a long time. As drawn as I have felt to you, I held back from touching you too much until I was sure.”
Azriel went wholly still, his only movement the visible swallow that he took before he dared the question. “What are you sure of?”
Your own nerves conquered you in that moment, as you tore your hands from Azriel’s for the first time that night. “I’m sure of you. I want to accept the mating bond, whenever you are ready.”
No sooner had the words left your mouth than stars began shooting across the sky, illuminating Azriel’s face as he smiled at you, unabashed like never before. He was aglow, both with starlight and joy as his hands found yours, pulling you close. A scarred hand threaded through your hair, tilting your head back as he grinned down at you. “From the moment I met you, I’ve been dying to hear those words.” He pulled you in for a kiss, his touch lighting you on fire as you fell for him completely.
Arms wrapped around your waist, supporting you as you finally pulled back, tears lining your eyes as you looked at Azriel in a new light - your mate, your forever. Broad hands spun you around, holding your back close to his chest as you watched the stars, Azriel watching half-heartedly as he kissed your neck, murmuring sweet nothings in your ear.
When the stars finally stopped, Azriel scooped you into his arms once more, carrying you through the threshold back into the house where your newfound family waited. His hands never left you, shadows twirling in your hair as he took a seat on the couch, pulling you into his lap. Rhys cocked an amused brow, to which you responded with a bashful grin, leaning into Azriel for security.
Your mate leaned close, his warm breath tickling your ear as he whispered to you, “would you like to tell them?”
A feline smirk graced your lips as you tilted his chin towards you. “I’ll give you the honors, mate.”
A low growl left him at the term of endearment - something you were sure you would have fun with when you both got home. Azriel turned to the expectant eyes of your family. “We are going to accept the mating bond.”
Cheers erupted, Rhys moving in search of drink to make a toast to the happy couple as Nesta squeezed your arm in quiet congratulations. Mor and Feyre were already planning your mating ceremony in the corner as you settled comfortably into Azriel’s chest, both of you only focused on each other and your future - a lifetime in his arms.

SLUMP: How Do I Get Out Of Here
Too many times we’ve fallen into slumps and have had trouble picking ourselves up again. This reading serves to be a guidance on how we can be kind to ourselves, how we can get ourselves out from this pit of darkness and walk towards where we belong.
Close your eyes, meditate on this topic and ask yourself the question: Where are you, how are you gonna get out of here? Breathe in and out, make sure your mind and heart is calm. Then, open your eyes to see which pile talks to you the most/draws you in the most. Once you’ve found your pile, scroll down to the respective parts to see what are the messages for you.

Pile 1 - Pile 2
Pile 3 - Pile 4
Disclaimer: This is solely for my entertainment purposes. Take only whatever you feel like it. If it doesn’t resonate, it’s okay to just drop it. Also, I do not consent to my work or images being used by third parties on this platform or other websites as well.
Decks used: Crossing Star Tarot Deck (Major Arcana), Luna Cat Tarot Deck (Major Arcana), Linestrider Tarot Deck, Sweet Dreams Oracle Deck, Starcodes Astro Oracle Deck.

Pile 1 - Trickle
A card to symbolise you: The Hermit, The Moon
Aite it ended up with two cards. The first thing I’m picking up here is that there is a need for you to step into the unknown instead of wandering around the entrance. Sure, seeing the dark ahead is scary, but you’re the Hermit, you have your torch with you, and the Moon is shining above you, lighting the path as you take your steps. It’s difficult if you wander around without directions, but you have light guiding your way. You know your goals and how you wanna achieve, all that’s left is to tread carefully to reach the exit. The Moon here is giving me spiritual vibes, so you may turn to that for an extra hand, and an extra opinion so that you can see things from another point of view, and to learn something new.
1. How did you get here? Knight of Pentacles
You've taken up a lot of responsibilities, thinking that it's all your obligation. It's not. All these burdens have piled up on your back, crushing you as time passes. As this went on, people around you have… Well… Taken advantage of you. It’s a little bit difficult to say cuz you tend to be the person who focuses on the main picture and the collective benefit, so you allow yourself to take up more responsibilities. This can also be an excuse to run away from interpersonal problems, especially between family members. Or, there may be a possibility of you not having a decent relationship with your family members, that you have to focus on work and find your worth through your career.
2. How do you get out of here? The High Priestess rx
You’re more of a practical kinda person, focusing on what you can see and what you can comprehend, instead of the spiritual aspect of the world. With this, there may be a loss of connection with your intuition and/or inner voice. You will need to tune into your intuition, pay attention to the voices in you instead of the voices outside (remember to not get it mixed up with anxiety). When you’re feeling low or challenged, remember that you are loved, and you are worthy of love. There’s a saying I’ve read somewhere, “Those who are loved have the strength to conquer difficulties”. Know your worth and accept it. You have come this far, and you will continue to go further.
3. What can you learn from this? Ten of Pentacles
One of your core values is family. You may have been brought up with the concept that family is important and how it has shaped you to who you are today. However, you are called to check if this value aligns with you, aligns with your emotional and mental needs. With the wrong people, it’s no longer an alliance but a discord. You learn the needs of having proper and healthy connection, and how to unlearn old values and beliefs that no longer help you, picking up new values and beliefs along the way. Focus your energy and effort on That One Thing that you want to achieve (purpose), and water that plant (intent). Once you’ve put in the right gear, the rest will fall in place, and you’ll see the results in plain sight.
4. What should you do if this happens again? Three of Cups
Your friends are your greatest support system, but I’m also gonna remind you to also be the friend they need. Although the theory of love languages is a scam, to understand what the other person needs in a friendship (or any forms of relationship) is necessary, else you’re just imposing your ideals onto them. To me, it feels like growing together, relearning new things (or old things) about yourself, understanding yourself better and how to treat yourself better. Hang out with your inner child, do whatever it is that your inner child has wanted to do the entire while. For example, you’ve wanted to colour your hair ever since you're in secondary school, do it; if you’ve wanted to get a new piercing, do it. Go ahead and do whatever it is that you’ve wanted to do (as long as it’s not against the law or rules of whatever institutes that you’re in).
5. What are the qualities you need to have to go through this? Ace of Cups rx
Hmmm… Your emotions are… Rather turbulent, I’d say. There’s an unhealthy stream of emotions that you’re holding back, and the dam is about to break. A lot of healing needs to be done, where you need to focus on yourself, to express selflessness and fairness over yourself first. Not to sound discouraging, but you may never heal from certain trauma, where you can only learn to walk away from whatever that is and live with it. Even though you’re surrounded by obstacles right now, remember that with time and the right amount of attention and effort, you can work through almost any deadlock. By then, you’ll be stronger and more capable to work towards your dreams, desires and goals.
6. Advice for you: The World rx, The Empress
Your journey is far from over, and to some of you, you may not even know where you’re headed, not knowing where your goal is. It can sound discouraging, but I think the beauty in it is that you get to look around and learn, absorb as much knowledge as you want, level up yourself as you go. It’s like… Your goal is to learn and experience, to grow as a being, and let that be part of your soul journey. Be kind to yourself. I feel that many who picked this pile have trouble treating themselves well, financially and emotionally. Some may also be people pleaser because that was what they’ve been taught when they’re kids, and this is a sign that it’s high time for you to cut away from those habits. It may be difficult to cut it off, but at least, recognize and acknowledge this part of you. If you choose to believe that you’re not one, then you won’t work on it. Let your journey on this earth be a fun and comfortable one, where you put your needs first, focusing on yourself. You are not supposed to burn yourself to warm others. Learn to appreciate yourself more, learn to live for yourself.
Overall energy: The Devil, Two of Cups rx, The High Priestess
I’m immediately picking up energies of self-sabotaging. I don’t think I need to further elaborate on this, those who know it will know it. I feel that this pile may listen to their logic more to the point that they ignore everything else, may it be your intuition or your feelings, making you misaligned with yourself. Calm yourself down, stay quiet, focus on one point, and sit there with your head blank (if you need some background noise to help you, do so). Once your head stops screaming, ask yourself about the emotions that you’ve been feeling. Listen to your heart, listen to what it’s trying to tell you. Align yourself to the path you’ve wanted to take. Cultivate yourself, create and enjoy. Invite limitless magic into your life through whatever that goes through your hand. Welcome yourself onto this Earth.
.
.
Pile 2 - Breeze
A card to symbolise you: Death
Changes come and go as the breeze, lightly and without you noticing. It also feels that the changes you bring and the changes you experienced can be similar, where it’s… Nonchalant. There’s not much emotional attachment with whatever you’re holding to, and when it changes, you accept the changes because they don’t affect you much. The transforming energy this card holds is not something sudden, but something that gradually happens over time. It’s like the straws stacking up on the camel’s back. One day, one last straw will break the camel’s back, and that’s when you have to make necessary changes to make sure you survive. This is you right now, and unlike other piles, you are aware of this. It’s still gonna take quite a bit for you to take any action because you don’t think you’re at that point of breaking yet.
1. How did you get here? Knight of Swords rx
You probably have not been paying attention to whatever that’s going on with your life. It feels like… You go along with the flow too much, not paying attention to where the final destination is going to be, focusing very much on the present. With that, people can come in and influence you to work to what they want. I wouldn’t say that they’re bad guys, but imagine parents that can be controlling, wanting you to do things according to their way/method cuz they believe it’s the best for you. Some may actually guilt trip you, or use you to their own convenience, depending on what’s going on and if your family is so. As that goes on, you’ve given up taking control over your own life, only focusing on surviving the days. It’s high time for you to realise where you are standing right now, and hence, you’re experiencing this burn out. You will need to clear your mind and heart of negativity, as well as negative influence to at least rekindle the passion you have towards life.
2. How do you get out of here? Eight of Wands
Rise and leave. This card talks about action, and it’s gonna be very fast. Give them no time to think or to react. Make sure your wings are strong enough to carry you far, make sure whatever chains of negative influences end with you. Take this as a sign to put your hesitation aside and go for it! You may feel as though you’re being trapped in a whirlwind with how everything is happening around you, but place your trust in yourself as well as your higher self. Things will be fine, and you’ll be able to see how your plans worked out. However, remember to step forward with plans and proposals. If you do not feel prepared enough to take any action, it’s okay. Rest, grow stronger and prepare yourself, so that when the chance comes, you’ll be able to take off without any hesitation. You’ll be surprised with how far your dreams have guided you.
3. What can you learn from this? Six of Cups
First thing I’m picking up from here is networking/connections. During this period of time, you probably have made new friends along the way. However, if you look back, you'll notice the similarities between the new friends you've made and your friends from childhood. This is because you tend to fall back into things that provide you comfort and familiarity. Similarly, you fall back to friends and/or family that have stayed with you throughout these while, eventho they have not been kind to you, because of that familiarity. You are called to do some introspection, to discern and decide how you want your life to be, what you are going to do to get that life you wanted.
4. What should you do if this happens again? Six of Wands rx
Should this happen again, stay low and remember where you came from, remember that place of pain where you've finally left, and remind yourself to stay on your toes. Do not think highly of yourself, of how strong you've become and finally you can stand against it. Don't let your ego feed into you. You are very well capable of falling into old patterns again if you have not gone for any therapy. Seek help from some other authorities that you trust, else, you search for people you trust to help you out from this. Remember, there's only so much you can do, and the most important one among all is to protect yourself. You will heal, but you’ll need to take time, allow yourself some rest time for you to regain your energy. You’ll know when you’re healing, or fully healed. Healing is never linear, so don’t rush yourself.
5. What are the qualities you need to have to go through this? Ten of Pentacles
There’s a lot that you have, abundance in finance and human connection. Ten of Pentacles is usually a family card, but I’m also seeing it as a found family, where you select who you want to be in your life. With Pentacles, I’m seeing that this connection may be from work, or those who have helped you in your career. That aside, there’s finances here so… You may be the type who’d save up for rainy days, or you’ll make sure you have enough before you leave whatever situation you’re in. To be able to achieve this, your main qualities would be determination and mental strength. There’s more to go but you have the foundation for this, and from what I’m seeing, you’re already on your way. You may want to try meditation or spiritual related themes, as well as doing a bunch of research on your friends and family. There may be a reason why people around you are acting Like That™, and you may also want to look into yourself if you play any factor.
6. Advice for you: Six of Pentacles, Ten of Wands rx, The Sun rx
Be generous to others, but turn that generosity towards yourself first. Spend money and pamper yourself when you need them. Remember, what goes around comes around, you provide help, and help will be provided to you. Put down those burdens people have been putting on your back. You have a tendency to carry the burdens and expectations of others, when all you need to focus right now is yourself. This is something that will… Challenge your core belief, I'd say. You need to focus on yourself, remember that you are the main character of your own story. At most, you can be the side character of another's story, but never their stepping stone. Once you learn your worth, accept it, and work on it, things will turn out different for you. Half of the cards here are sixes. This usually symbolises themes of success, satisfaction and rewards. Do what you need, and the rest will fall in place.
Overall energy: Temperance, Eight of Pentacles, The Hermit
I'm feeling some sort of balance from you. Things can be a mess, or even chaotic. But you actually know where to go and how to go about it, and you're sharpening your tools (skills) at the moment. What I'm feeling from this is that you're preserving your energy, ready to strike when it's needed, bringing a new form of rebirth. You have been receiving messages from your guides, you know they are having your back. Sure, new life can be birthed from old wounds, but you have no need to burn yourself to warm others, to find your worth in this painful form.
.
.
Pile 3 - Woods
A card to symbolise you: The Emperor rx
For some reason, it feels like you're the dejected king. You've done your best to do a lot of good, fight for what you believe in, and yet get shunned/ostracised by your own people. You still believe in what you stand and fight for, but part of you actually doubts if you're doing the right thing, or if there's something wrong with you. There are some questioning and contemplation, making your heart waver, wondering if you should leave this kingdom you're ruling over and go to some other place. The conflict is pretty… Strong in you at the moment, and it feels like you want to put the sceptre down.
1. How did you get here? Page of Swords rx
It's giving me the feeling/vibe that you've been listening to the wrong people, and there's active manipulation and deception in play. Whatever information that you've received/heard have been altered, and even tampered to a certain extent, trapping you in that perception. From there, it will be difficult for you to deconstruct incorrect information and to absorb new things in. What I'm also picking up is that you may have a tendency to go ahead and lead something, even if you're not familiar with the subject, which may be why you ended up being The Emperor rx. An example: Your cousin has told you that you have skills and talents in becoming a HR team leader, and so you applied for the job even if you have zero HR related skills and experience. With that, you're now leading your team and this is where you see problems come in, because you do not have sufficient tools and skills and experience. You can't quit this job because you've signed a contract, and if you quit, your team members will suffer as they will need to redo everything. Your ideals are nice, but you did not consider the limitations and challenges, ending up extremely unrealistic. With that, of course your team members will complain because you also have not taken their situation into consideration.
2. How do you get out of here? Death
There's a lot of changes that need to be made. Heck, you may need to go through a period of “death”, where you deconstruct your knowledge, what you have, what you pride yourself over; and form something new. It's like… A butterfly. Many people know that the caterpillar wraps itself in silk, and comes out of it as a butterfly. But not many know that the caterpillar literally dissolved into goo inside the cocoon. That sort of “death” is what you will need to go through. From there, you build yourself up with knowledge you've filtered, sourcing out resources carefully, being critical of what information you've gotten (or even whatever others are trying to feed you). Of course, throughout this time, you'll need to rebuild your trust in people, allowing yourself to heal from all sorts of betrayal.
3. What can you learn from this? Five of Wands
Sometimes, conflict isn't necessarily bad. You will need it (sometimes, fights and quarrels as well) to get your thoughts and opinions across, and also to understand the other person better as well. It is through conflict that you'll be able to see things that you've been missing out, especially if those “benefits” are things that are absolutely necessary to the other person. Your sense of justice is not applicable to those who are underprivileged, because they will be the first person who'll suffer from the changes. This conflict can also refer to the wolves inside of you, where you'll need to fight yourself, is your justice really justice if it harms the victims even more. There's more to find out by yourself, and this is a period of transition, where you'll move away from who/what no longer helps you, to things that will be of help and growth in the long run.
4. What should you do if this happens again? The World rx
Remind yourself that it's okay to fail, to be imperfect, and release whatever that is tying you down. Be kind to yourself and let go of self-criticism. This is something bound to happen, since growth is not linear. The world won't end if you make a mistake. But you need to make sure you're learning something from whatever you're doing. Awareness is something important, and you need to be conscious of your action, as well as what it will bring about. Make your actions purposeful, put meaning behind whatever you do or say. You're growing, and you're not doing it alone. You're growing with your friends, you're growing with the world. Do not try controlling the actions of others. You are your own world, and you should be nurturing it with intent.
5. What are the qualities you need to have to go through this? Ace of Swords rx
You're smart. You're either book smart or street smart, or some other forms of smart that I do not know of. Which is why you actually know what it is that you have to help you go through this: By turning that Sword towards yourself. You don't like being told that you're wrong, and it's that pride of yours that will continue to push you forward. And most of all, you will not let yourself make the same mistakes again, allowing you to be sharper than before. Also, you may come up with a guide, describing how you've failed, and how you're making sure that others don't go through the same problems as you. You may end up a little pushy and long-winded, so please be aware of this.
6. Advice for you. King of Cups rx, Wheel of Fortune rx
There are a couple of things that I'm picking up here. One of them is a warning, that you should not attempt any emotional manipulation, guilt-tripping, or any of that sorts, consciously or unconsciously. You may be good with your words, and may have accidentally used them to “convince” someone to see your way, without you attempting to look at their side of the situation. Remember that whatever goes around, comes around. Morality is important, but morality without kindness is just… Inhumane. You also will need to remember to find your new strength, and how you want to proceed with your journey, may it be retiring being a King, or rebuilding your empire with the right people and right values. The cards aren't really willing to fall out, so I guess these are the main themes for you to pay attention to.
Overall energy: Strength, Six of Pentacles, The Star
There are quite some… Misdirected strength here. You are vigorous and ambitious, you have a lot of things that you want to do and to accomplish, but your actions aren't purposeful enough. You probably may feel like you're not seeing much results, and may be slightly dejected. Authorities may have a role in this. However, look at the bright side, you are doing something! Your generosity has helped many people throughout the way, providing faith and hope to those who are troubled. You may be spiritually guided too, so let your guides do their job and steer you towards the direction you're supposed to go.
.
.
Pile 4 - Crackle
A card to symbolise you: The Chariot rx
You’re rushing through a lot of things right now, worried that you can’t catch up with your peers. I’m seeing an image of you riding a horse, pushing yourself forward ruthlessly, ignoring your horse and everything else as you’re only focusing on your goals. Not sure if it’s your horse that will collapse or you falling over first. It is a very… anxious and bouncy energy that I’m feeling here. It’s also warning both you and I that things are going to be a havoc if you’re continuing this, as there’s this lack of balance, where you’re focusing too much on the external items (glory, society-defined success, external approval) instead of whatever that’s going on inside you (self-affirmation, emotional comfort, core belief).
1. How did you get here? The Hanged Man
I’m seeing that you’ve been forcing yourself to do things that you’re not good at. You probably have been called “inflexible” or “stuck in your own way” kinda person, and you’ve forced yourself to change, to see and attempt what other people do. However, it doesn’t work for you. You noticed that you’re not suitable for it, may be due to your upbringing or your brain has already been wired so. Yet you still push ahead with that thought and attempt, wanting to fit in with the rest (and society) so that you do not feel like an outcast. You have received a lot of help throughout this journey, but as the level of difficulty increases, you are running out of helpline and tools to fit in with the rest. This is where you’re starting to feel the burnout and the sense of failure is starting to eat in.
2. How do you get out of here? Eight of Pentacles
Instead of finding ways to fit into societal norms, it would be much better if you focus on what you’re good at and work on it instead. Diligence and hard work are the foundation of success. This is a rather positive card, but you need to make sure that you’re putting in hard work in the right place. You need to first recognise the difference between What You Like and What You’re Good At. From there, you will then need to make the decision on which path you want to take, and how you can expand your skills, and how you can make use of the tools you have to help you out of this slump. Having dreams is great, but you need to equip yourself with the tools to make your dreams a reality. Sometimes, things can turn out to be not… Ideal. You may realise that what you like is not what you’re good at, and it can be rather disappointing, especially if you’re the type of person who wants to do something you like for a living. But then, you can continue to do the things that you like while you also focus on the things that you’re good at. Nothing is stopping you, as long as you know how to balance your time and energy.
3. What can you learn from this? Five of Wands
For some reason, I’m seeing conflict coming from not only within yourself, but also between you and your close friends. Conflicts and arguments often happen when there’s miscommunication, where each party believes themself to be at the right. It is also important to know that one learns better through these kinda fights, where you can take this opportunity to understand what the other person is thinking and expecting, and to see if you are capable of fulfilling that expectation. Every fight is a learning process, where you learn some parts of you that you are not aware of. From there, you make the necessary changes to make yourself into a better person. Now, just a reminder. If you’re incapable of a particular change, do not attempt to change yourself for it. Else, you’ll go through this same process of falling into this same slump, and this cycle will never end. It’s like saying that I can’t fit in the rest of the group because I’m wearing glasses and they don’t. If I don’t get my eyesight fixed, I can’t join their group. Am I gonna get a laser treatment for this? Nope. And it’s alright if I change my friend group because I am unable to adhere to their expectations. The same goes with neurodivergence and neurotypicals as well.
4. What should you do if this happens again? The Fool
Take it as a new form of journey if this happens again, where you travel, meet new people and learn more. You can rest if things get too overwhelming, but you need to remind yourself to get up again and continue your journey. Life’s a constant learning process, where you recognise your changes, and you come up with new coping methods to work with it, especially as you age. For example, your eyesight worsens with age, and you’ll need to change your glasses so that you’re able to function and work as normal. It is the same with life and slumps, where you find out the problems and work accordingly.
5. What are the qualities you need to have to go through this? Judgement
First thing I’m picking up is that you’re very critical of whatever that’s happening within yourself. You may not turn that judging side of yours outwards, where you focus on criticising yourself more. You tend to intentionally make yourself uncomfortable by putting all the blame on yourself, and this is where you need to work on. Instead of putting all the blame on your shoulders, you may try putting them on others if it’s their fault. The more faults you take up, the more you’ll be used. Let others take the responsibility of their actions, let them be uncomfortable with the consequences. You need to remember who you are, and even if you’re judged, let it be because of your own actions, and not of others. Free yourself from what is not yours, may it be glory or sin.
6. Advice for you. - Temperance rx, Nine of Cups rx, Wheel of Fortune
It’s pretty evident with the cards that are presented, where you need to balance yourself, inside and out. Short term gratification (the sense of belonging) is not gonna help you in the long run, especially if it eats into you and makes you question your identity, purpose, and sense of self. There’s a lot of thinking that you need to do, and you can start by writing things down and weighing the options. You may feel that life’s playing a prank on you, or messing you up by throwing these challenges at you. This is something you need to go through though, as it is your life lesson. You may think that this lesson is not something you signed up for (a lot of us think the same), but your higher self had other plans in mind. It’s giving me the feeling that you have not picked up on themes on self identity and core beliefs in your past lives, that’s why you’re going through a bunch of it in this lifetime. Instead of rejecting and skipping class, why not sit through it and pick up bits and pieces to focus.
Overall energy: The Lovers, Ace of Wands
I'm feeling some form of weight on my chest. It’s like you’re burdened with the choices offered to you, either A or B. You are not the type of person who’d prefer to make your pick, probably it’s because you are afraid of dealing with the outcome of your decisions. There’s fear here, but there’s also nervousness, as you’re starting a new chapter of something. Ace of Wands is the first card of the Minor Arcana, which talks about how you’re drafting your life. It would be great if you start the chapter in details of your healing process, including yourself surrendering the old and limiting beliefs that have been tying you down, allowing you to awaken and be reborn into limitless possibilities.

If it turns out that I'm wrong, and that God exists and I am his prophet, the first thing I'll say to him will be: how could you do such a thing? How could you use me like that? He will most likely answer: stop moaning. You're a translator, nothing more or less. Your words and actions; my ideas. You don't have to believe what you say so long as you translate accurately. To which I reply: I'm an interpreter. My job is to take the real meaning and put it into a form that can be understood and acted on. Real, I shan't add, in the Sashan sense. I use words carefully, and between translation and interpretation there's a sliver of difference, as thin as a knife blade. Very thin, but it's amazing the difference a knife can make. All the intended consequences in my life have turned to shit and all the unintended ones have turned to gold. Everything I've touched I've translated, into one thing or the other.

Becoming Mrs. Shelby (Part 8)

Tommy Shelby x wife reader
Summary: Tommy takes you riding, but an encounter in the stables unnerves you.
Part 7 Masterlist
"Is this for me?" you asked, reaching for the buttery leather of the new saddle sat upon the stable railing.
"I had it made especially for you," Tommy grinned, looking pleased with himself.
"I-I don't know what to say," you blurted, hand covering your mouth at the elaborate surprise.
"Then don't say anything and come riding with me today," Tommy practically begged, taking your small hands in his. He knew you were eager to learn, yet frightened by the large beasts.
You nodded before pressing a kiss to his lips, sighing with contentment when his strong arms wrapped around your waist. When he held you this closely, it was impossible to believe anything bad could ever happen. Breathing in his scent of tobacco and leather, you felt his protection rest over you, ready to conquer your fears.
As if on cue, one of the horses behind you began kicking its stall. You startled at the thunderous reverberation, turning to glimpse a shock of its black mane whipping through the air.
"S'alright. Dangerous isn't going to hurt you," Tommy soothed in a low voice, calming both you and the horse. Leaning over the barrier to reach the stallion's right flank, he stroked the glossy onyx coat as he explained, "He's an old race horse. Temperamental lot."
As you studied the horse's impressive features, you seemed to catch his eye and you watched with enraptured fascination. He beat a hoof against the dirt floor in rapid succession like a telegraphed message.
"What does he want?" you asked, unable to tear your eyes from the imposing creature before you.
"Probably wants sugar feed," Tommy dismissed, giving the horse one final pat.
"Is he the horse I'll be riding?" you asked hesitantly.
"No, love, only the most experienced riders can handle him. Even I've difficulty," he admitted, leading you away from the animal's harsh snorts and stomping. "Come on, let's get you ready."
You allowed him to guide you away from the spirited animal, heart still beating out of your chest with anticipation of what was to come. Are all horses like this? God, I hope not.
An hour later, you were pleasantly surprised by the gentle stride of a brown mare. Tommy said he'd chosen her due to her calm disposition. You had to agree she was quite agreeable and easy to maneuver.
"Look at you, darling!" Tommy cried from his white Arabian steed. "You're a natural!"
You grinned widely at his praise, chin held high against the beams of sunshine quite uncharacteristic for this time of year. All felt right with world as you urged the horse into a trot just as Tommy had shown you.
"Am I doing it?" you yelled into the fresh air, a surge of pride welling in your chest as you realized what fun your husband's hobby could be.
He nodded at you eagerly. "You look radiant," he shouted back at you, making your cheeks flush with heat.
Ending the lesson on a high note, Tommy took your horse's reins from you, urging you to rest in a hot bath lest your muscles grow sore.
However, something drew you toward Dangerous' stall. Emboldened by your success in the riding ring and determined to make friends, you carefully tread toward the door. He turned to face you with large, dark eyes gleaming in the sunlight streaming through the window.
"I don't mean you any harm," you whispered. Locking eyes with the determined stallion, you waited for some sort of response, but he remained still. Plumes of hot breath pouring from his nostrils in soft snorts, you extended a hand as you introduced yourself. "I'm Mrs. Shelby."
As if enraged by your words, he reared back on two legs with a loud whinny. His hooves pounded back down upon the ground, a sharp kick delivered to his metal feed bucket.
You stumbled into the opposite wall, hand clutching your chest as the harsh clang reverberated against the stall. It was then a stable boy came running to calm him, though there was little to be done. The animal continued to pace his enclosure with deep aggravation.
As you stared blankly at the wall, the stable boy approached the same way he had with the spooked animal. He extended a hand toward you slowly as he spoke with gentle reassurance. "It's not you, ma'am. He never liked anyone but her."
"I'm sorry?" you asked, breath coming in short gasps as your pulse raced and blood whooshed through your ears.
"The late Mrs. Shelby, God rest her soul, was the only person who could ride him," he informed you. "She had a way with animals."
The horse gave another swift kick to the stable door at that moment, sending you running from the ghost of his former rider.

🎾 Jupiter vs. Venus: The Duel of Gurus. 🏅
In the infinite drama of the cosmos, two larger-than-life forces play the role of celestial teachers: Jupiter (Brihaspati) and Venus (Shukracharya). These two aren’t just gurus—they’re the ultimate life coaches, each with their unique vibes. Jupiter is the philosopher who hands you a map to enlightenment, while Venus is the savvy mentor who teaches you how to conquer the world and look fabulous doing it.
But wait—there’s more to Shukracharya than just luxury and indulgence. He wasn’t only the guru of the asuras; he was a healer extraordinaire, the cosmic doctor who literally brought the dead back to life with the Sanjeevani mantra. So, while Jupiter gives you the wisdom to transcend, Venus might just save your skin (and soul) when things go south.
Let’s dig deeper into this ultimate cosmic clash of the titans and see how their wisdom, morals, and approach to life shape their disciples.
🎓 Knowledge: Universal Truths vs. Practical Skills
Jupiter’s Wisdom: Jupiter’s knowledge is like a sacred text—ancient, profound, and illuminating. As the guru of the devas, he specializes in timeless wisdom that transcends the material world. He’s your go-to for unlocking the mysteries of dharma (duty), moksha (liberation), and the universe’s ultimate purpose. Think philosophy, ethics, and everything that makes you go, “Wow, life is deeper than I thought.”
Venus’s Knowledge: Venus is the practical genius who hands you a toolkit for mastering life’s complexities. From diplomacy to healing, Shukracharya doesn’t just teach you how to survive—he teaches you how to thrive. His lessons are rooted in the art of living: navigating relationships, enjoying material pleasures, and even harnessing the secrets of immortality. He’s the cosmic mix of a life coach and a healer, ensuring you’re prepared for anything life throws your way.
⚖️ Morals: Righteousness vs. Pragmatism
Jupiter’s Morality: Jupiter is all about the straight and narrow. He champions dharma and universal harmony, even if it means personal sacrifice. He’s the teacher who insists that doing the right thing is non-negotiable, no matter how tough it gets. With Jupiter, it’s always about the bigger picture.
Venus’s Morality: Venus operates in the real world, where things aren’t always black and white. His moral compass is more flexible, designed to help you navigate life’s gray areas. Shukracharya understands that sometimes bending the rules is necessary for survival—and that’s okay. His pragmatism is his strength, making him relatable and incredibly effective.
💎 The Hedonist vs. The Ascetic
Venus: The Sensual Healer Venus doesn’t shy away from the material world; he embraces it. He teaches that beauty, luxury, and pleasure aren’t distractions—they’re part of the human experience. But Venus is more than a connoisseur of indulgence; as a healer, he shows how to channel these desires into personal growth. His mastery of the Sanjeevani mantra highlights his deep understanding of life and death, proving that he’s not just about the good times—he’s about second chances too.
Jupiter: The Ascetic Sage Jupiter is the spiritual minimalist, urging you to detach from desires and focus on higher truths. He’s the guru who reminds you that fleeting pleasures pale in comparison to eternal peace. While Venus heals your body and mind, Jupiter seeks to heal your soul by guiding you beyond the illusions of the material world.
🌌 Life’s Approach: Harmony vs. Mastery
Jupiter’s Path: Jupiter leads with faith, devotion, and the pursuit of inner peace. His approach is about finding harmony within yourself and with the universe. His teachings encourage gratitude and humility, aligning your actions with the greater cosmic order.
Venus’s Path: Venus believes in mastering the art of life. Whether it’s relationships, success, or overcoming obstacles, Shukracharya equips you to excel in the material realm. His lessons emphasize empowerment and resilience, reminding you that even in chaos, there’s beauty—and power.
If Jupiter is the grand monastery, steeped in philosophy and higher learning, Venus is the opulent palace ballroom, alive with music, dance, and earthly pleasures. Jupiter’s domain is the university lecture hall, a sanctuary of timeless wisdom, while Venus presides over the art gallery, where beauty and creativity are celebrated. Jupiter governs the sanctum of a temple, a space for introspection and spiritual growth, whereas Venus sparkles in the marketplace, where life’s sensual joys and connections unfold. Each represents a world of its own: Jupiter uplifts the soul, and Venus enchants the senses
The Verdict 💫
So, here’s the cosmic tea: Jupiter and Venus aren’t competing; they’re balancing forces. Jupiter offers the wisdom to transcend life, while Venus gives you the skills to embrace and heal within it. Jupiter is the sage who helps you unlock eternal truths, and Venus is the healer and mentor who ensures you enjoy the ride and survive the bumps along the way.
Are you drawn to Jupiter’s lofty ideals or Venus’s grounded guidance? Let me know—Team Jupiter or Team Venus? ✨

When she rose to lead the Tlokwa people in southern Africa, Mmanthatisi (c. 1784–1847) emerged as a remarkable strategist and politician, guiding her people through an era of turmoil.
Mother and chief
Born with the name Monylue, Mmanthatisi was the daughter of the chief of the Basia people, in what is now South Africa. She married her cousin Mokotjo, the chief of the Tlokwa people. Around 1800, she adopted the name Mmanthatisi because she had given birth to a daughter, Nthatisi.
In 1804, she gave birth to a son, Sekonyela. When Mokotjo died in 1813, Sekonyela was only nine years old and too young to rule. Mmanthatisi stepped in as leader of the Tlokwa people. Following a common practice of levirate marriage in many African societies, she also had a daughter with her late husband's brother.
The warrior queen
Mmanthatisi governed a population of 35,000 to 40,000 during a time of drought, warfare, and widespread displacement. As the expansionist Zulu kingdom threatened her territory, she chose to lead her people westward. Her leadership proved exceptional, securing significant victories against neighboring groups. She wielded full civil and military authority, forging alliances and resolving disputes among her people.
Although she did not personally fight in battles and raids, Mmanthatisi planned and directed military campaigns—a rare role for a woman in this patrilinear society. In 1817, her warriors triumphed over the Ndwandwe, capturing numerous cattle. While she enjoyed success in many battles, she also faced defeat.
During one notable episode, she cleverly outwitted an attack by the Hlubi people while her warriors were away. She mobilized women and children, positioning them on a hilltop to create the illusion of a large army, which deterred the attackers.
Her fame spread and roaming groups came to be called "mantatees," a distorted version of her name. Despite leading one of the smaller nations in the region, Mmanthatisi successfully prevented her people from being conquered.
Though her son Sekonyela assumed the role of chief in 1824, Mmanthatisi remained a formidable political figure.
Reverend Alfred T. Bryant once wrote: “Many nations have had their Boadiceas, but none greater than Mantatisi.”

Hey! Ignore if you please but I'm genuinely curious how Muslim leftists are a thing as hierarchy and inequality are inherent in the religion. What is your personal views on it and what does faith mean to you if I may ask?
It's really disorienting for me seeing Muslims who've had pleasant experiences with Islam considering my own experiences have been horrid, having lived in Iran. I understand religion itself is amoral and can be used as a tool but when establishing Islamic law in society is a must in Islam and the abuse it brings about can be justified by the ayat and hadiths within it, isn't it fair to assume that The Purpose Of A System Is What It Does? Like are we ignoring the fact that Iran's supreme leader wants to conquer the whole region and create a single homogeneous Islamic state and his justification is the holy text.
Again I understand that personal faith is different from systematized religion. Tasawuf is pretty cool for example and only focuses on the spiritual connection of self and Allah, that's why I'd like to know your thoughts on it and how it works for you alongside your leftist beliefs.
Thanks 🙏
I'm not gonna lie, this is kind of a weird ask. I'm not Iranian and I can't speak on that but there are billions of Muslims around the world first of all and not all Muslims practice the same. Like, there are different sects of Islam. So to make overarching statements about things that are "inherent" go Islam like this is really odd?? I don't think it's true that inequality is inherent in Islam....
But establishing a single Islamic state is not a 100% must in Islam like how hajj and Salah are...? Like it's not a requirement for you to do as a Muslim. The only things you're absolutely required to do are things like Salah, Zakat, Hajj, etc and even those things have exceptions. The absolute requirement of Islam is to take the shahada and believe in it.
Even between Iran and Saudi Arabia (a government which I hate) there are pretty obvious differences. So like to make Iran the end all be all of what constitutes as a government that operates with Islamic law is kind of a weird assumption to make.
I don't really want to comment on this beyond what I said. It's not like any other government in the world is much better?? Seems odd to single Islam out with the rising Islamophobia that results in the ravaging of SWANA.
But if you're asking me personally why I'm muslim, it's because I grew up being taught that justice is a core principal of Islam. My parents always emphasized "always stand on the side of the oppressed" as something Muslims should do. The hadith that personally always stick with me as a guiding principal is:
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Even if the Resurrection were established upon one of you while he has in his hand a sapling, let him plant it.”
And this ayah:
O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives. Be they rich or poor, Allah is best to ensure their interests. So do not let your desires cause you to deviate ˹from justice˺. If you distort the testimony or refuse to give it, then ˹know that˺ Allah is certainly All-Aware of what you do.
And this ayah:
O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.
But yeah I always think back to these ayat and hadith when I need to.
