#character design#in some kind of mood as I hover over my phone in the middle of making cookie dough#a post on the mass effect subreddit put me into an introspective mood but this also applies to everything I draw#I think maybe there is a#fundamental difference between people who see strange/monstrous/alien characters as subjects vs seeing them as objects#and people who are repulsed by a character the less human (let alone conventionally attractive) they look#versus people who are more compelled by/drawn to a character the farther from human they look#the difference between#i like you even though you're weird#and#i like you BECAUSE you're weird/I like your weirdness because it's part of you the person I like#catie talks
