dark silver lining of the b*d*n age question dominating the news is that i get a temporary reprieve from my absolute least favorite part of election season discourse which is 1 million variations on “the dems are going to lose because they’re not doing the thing i want”
#this isn’t dem apologia this is about#1. living in reality and recognizing the electorate and esp the actually voting electorate is just not that leftward#and especially#2. being aware that elections hinge to some degree on the behavior of swing voters who by and large are the dumbest people on earth#a person meaningfully undecided at the presidential level is not a person whose voting behavior can be logically explicated
