Summer Blood
#I got all fancy and named my poetry portfolio as if it was a book#and then I got REALLY fancy and made a moodboard#Robin's Moodboards#ahh. that poetry class.#it had its ups and downs but it was wonderful.#I hope I keep writing poetry. this was a lot of fun.#maybe I'll make a little collection for every season!#I didn't set out to write summer-themed poems but I kind of did#the main themes were broken familial relationships and trauma and how do you live like that? how?#culminating in 'poem for judas' about when life is gentle to you although you don't deserve it and want to punish yourself#a lot of morbid imagery and bodies and animals as metaphors. so many animal metaphors.#tw blood#just in case#this is a very flawed moodboard and my work for class was also flawed#and I am at peace with that.
