why i love...

yes he’s not the best player most times and none of these things made me like him at first but rather made me like him more as time went on... (most of this info i got from this podcast interview with him and hertha but other sources i linked to if anyone’s curious :D)

1) he interned as a cook at a fancy restaurant in köln before he became a footballer and continues to experiment with cooking (and is mostly vegetarian!)

2) he does stuff outside of football like painting (see here) and learned to play piano over quarantine (here ft. a nice painting)

3) he’s really fast (11th in this season lol but was 1st two years ago before phonzy and haaland those dang speed demons)

4) he’s got a very calming albeit monotone voice (shorter reference than hour long interview is clip here)

5) and in general: seems very down to earth, committed to Hertha, and loves Berlin (especially the food but who can blame him).
