"are you trying to tell me that the great chinese hegemon-king, Xiang Yu, of the western Chu, leader of the 18 kingdoms and ender of the Qin dynasty, great warrior of the Chu-Han contention, is trangender?" ~ me 20 minutes ago hearing a friend talk about their game

#a friend was playing this roleplay storybook style game that took place in a minor-magic ancient china #and when they described the characters i quickly went “oh thats the chu-han contention! side with Liu Bang cause he founds the Han dynasty”#and she was very confused that 1: this was based off of a real story and wasnt made up people and 2: i knew about it #and i had to explain that i find liu bang funny because he was a prison guard whose prisoners escaped and since thats a crime punished by #death in the qin dynasty he went “eh fuck it” and joined a rebellion eventually founding a new dynasty #and at some point in the story she sided with Xiang Yu instead and ended up befriending him #and the game's for some reason eventually reveals Xiang Yu to be trans if you ally and befriend him enough #and this also explains why he has no bio kids and its fucking insane and whack
