#so i’m writing my capstone paper rn#and i am using the concept of verisimilitude to discuss sci fi and representations of reality w/in it#and both of my classmates who peer reviewed it did not know what that word meant#i do not want to explain it within the paper bc that shit sucks and i don’t want to Presume that the reader doesn’t know#this Literary Term That They Should Have Learned By Now#but i also don’t want to look like i’m fully disregarding my classmates’ feedback#i’m not gonna do it bc they can google but like. c’mon guys#like part of what we do when we read theory articles and even normal shit like scholarly articles abt fkn shakespeare or whatever#is annotate on the side the definitions of words we don’t know#it’s part of learning#so i think it s kind of silly to ask me#a fkn senior in college who is about to graduate with an english degree#to explain words to other seniors in college who are also about to graduate with an english degree
