So, despite all the Blue Badger stuff I had around the car, it was still feeling more like my cousin (who we bought it from)’s car than mine, mainly because he had a bunch of stickers. Now, I couldn’t remove the stickers without making a huge mess… but I could cover them with my own.

I want to thank all the zines I’ve supported over the past two years or so for giving me enough stickers and tape that I can make the Badgermobile finally feel like it’s actually mine.

So, a fun little fact about me is that I name things. My phone, for instance, is named Sadie. My laptop? Lucy. My switch? Robinette. This includes cars. My last car was named Amethyst, and the one before that was called Missy May (short for Missile Launcher Mayonnaise).

Now a less than fun fact is that I’ve been having a lot of car problems lately and for the past few weeks or so have been without a car. However, today that has finally been resolved and I have a functional car! Its name… the Badgermobile. Why, you ask?

Well first, let me show you the key.

I do have a question. This is inherently a ship heavy zine - how will you choose which ships to feature and which to pass on?

We do go into the process of this a bit in our Info Doc!

This zine does not focus on any one specific ship, and in fact, a variety of ships are encouraged. When pitch time approaches, contributors will pitch for at least two different ships in order to keep this standard and prevent the zine from focusing on only one or two popular relationships. The characters within these ships should be featured in the Ace Attorney games, and if the interest check shows enough interest, DGS/TGAA characters will be permitted as well.

And then in a little more detail in the FAQ:

Essentially, within their pitches, all contributors will be required to submit at least one that features a ship not in the top five on AO3, i.e., a ship other than Narumitsu/Wrightworth, Klapollo, or Franmaya. Should we expand to include DGS/TGAA based on the interest check results, this will also include Asoryuu.

We'll be relying on our contributors' creativity and wishes when it comes to ships that they want to create content for; we just want to make sure that there's a good variety, so that it does not become only a Narumitsu or Klapollo wedding zine, for example! Like with pitch processes for other zines, mods will ultimately pick between the ideas offered to ensure a good coverage of topics and ships.
