i love having thoughts <- guy who is putting off the dishes
#wind howls#theres a very specific frustration i get when (specifically white) people really into animal care go 'working with animals taught me-#-that we are all the same regardless if were animals or humans and we all deserve care' or whatnot#i dont know how to word this in a way that makes sense. a lot of those people make it sound like caring for animals is what-#made them start caring about people that arent white. and that feels a little insulting !#a chapter of this past semesters philosophy class focused on animal rights and that also made me think a lot#most (if not all) of the people we covered then (although i dont remember names) were white people. which does not surprise me.#its so much easier for them to care about animals than other humans. they love to assume that all humans are already equal.#also in general being told that 'i only care about you because i cared about animals first' kinda sucks. keep that to yourself.#its really not this deep or touching sentiment people like to think it is. at least not to me. but maybe that doesnt make sense 2 others#anyway. ill go do these stupid dishes even though i dont Want to
