#new form of self care: playing sims 2 until i forget reality exists#that 2000s aesthetic is giving me all the good nbc hannibal vibes#(that’s the closest i can get to matthew’s tats in the game but i love the tribal design)#hope everyone is doing well#🫶✨#miss being on tumblr#going to go on a small rant in the tags about something obscure#but sims 1 was revolutionary in putting guinea pigs in a game#the sims team didn’t do the perfect job at depicting their cage (guinea pigs don’t run on hamster wheels)#but it was cool to see them and they can even kill your sims by biting them#anyway#players were scared of their sims dying so they renamed guinea pigs in the sims 2 as womrats and they can’t kill your sim anymore#but the cage size is horrendous 😭#then sims 3 added even more rodent options and a better cage!!!#a big gripe i have with sims 4 is their stupid focus on hamsters (completely removing womrats/guinea pigs)#and i think they did it because hamsters are more commonly known#i’ve met a lot of people who’ve never heard of guinea pigs#so that’s another reason i don’t want to play sims 4#😤
