November,
TW: mentions of child abuse, mentions of neglect, mentions of injuries, death, corrupted views of religion,
Tumblr media
⤷ Name: November Indica Lox
⤷ Age: 19
⤷ Birthday: October 31st
⤷ Pronouns: She/they
⤷ Faceclaim: @/____t_a_t_a___
TW: mentions of child abuse, mentions of neglect, mentions of injuries, death, corrupted views of religion,
⤷ Bio:
Nov and her twin, October, were put up for adoption when they were born, they’d been left at a fire station and put into the system from there. There was no hospital record of the two, no birth certificates or anything to tie to who they were. it was assumed that their mother gave birth at home, without any help. The only thing anyone really knew was their names and when they were born, as it was written on the little bassinets they were found in.
For the majority of their childhood, they lived foster home to foster home until they turned ten and they were adopted by an older couple. The couple was religious and pushed that onto Nov and her brother. They expected the two to follow in their beliefs and when they didn’t they were punished for it. They went to church every week, with no exception and were baptized not long after being adopted.
As they grew up, they were isolated from the world, and only went out when their adopted parents did. Their adopted mother homeschooled the two, and never let them out of her sight. And when they’d be sick, their adopted parents told them “to pray to god and ask him to recover you”. They were neglected in place of faith.
November's brother took most of the blame for the two, and if November ever did anything wrong in their adopted parents' eyes, he’d lie and say he did it to protect her. Her brother was terrified of the dark, and often had panic attacks because of it. And at fourteen, Nov asked if the two could be put into public school, said she wanted to experience high school and when her adopted parents said no she “threw a fit”. Her brother was there, and in an attempt to get attention off his sister so she wouldn’t be hurt, he threw a vase at their adopted father. The vase had shattered against the back of his head and he needed hospital attention. As a punishment to the two children, their parents locked them in the basement while they went to the hospital. With no lights on, the two spent hours in the basement. Nov trying to calm her brother down, and him having extreme panic attacks.
The two had spent the entire night in that basement, and some time hours after their adopted parents left, November's brother stopped panicking and went to sleep. The next morning, hours after small sun beams filtered in through a tiny window in the basement, the only indication of morning for Nov and as the basement gave light to a tiny place she finally fell asleep. Knowing her brother would wake with less darkness, she allowed herself some rest.
Hours after falling asleep, she woke up to the sound of the basement door opening and quickly went to wake her brother up.
Unbeknownst to anyone, October suffered from asthma. That night in the basement, while panicking from the dark, October had a bad asthma attack. One that ultimately took his life.
November was quickly taken from her adopted parents and put back into a foster home. Their parents were imprisoned for the death of her brother, with charges for neglect and child abuse.
And while November was safe again, somewhere in that basement, without anyone knowing it, a part of her died too.
At the death of her brother, November lost herself. Lost her mind. She became cruel, began lashing out on anyone near her, everyone near her. Began talking about ways to bring her brother back. The foster home assumed it was her way of coping with her loss, and brought in a therapist to help her. However, during their third session, when her therapist asked Nov who she’d been talking to, November thought she could trust her. Only, when she was honest, her therapist told her October was gone. Said he wasn’t there and November lashed out, threw a vase at the therapist the way she’d seen her brother do months before.
From there, November was taken to Saint Mary’s, and was kept until she turned eighteen.
⤷ Headcanons:
⤷ November met Daniel in Saint Mary’s
⤷ While in Saint Mary’s, November was diagnosed with schizotypal personality disorder
⤷ For Christmas when they were seven, October had found a doll at a playground and had gifted it to November. She still has the doll, and believes it is alive. The doll had created a sort of obsession for November and she now has dozens of dolls. All of which she believes are alive
⤷ Novembers perspective of religion is still very corrupted by the four years she spent with her adopted parents. She believes God killed her brother and because of that, she hates him
⤷ November is very paranoid, and rarely trusts anyone anymore
⤷ November stays at The Rookery, on one of the lower pay-by-the-day floors, and
