A strange, but sweet thing that pushes prodigies and dum-dums to be nice to each other, even after they've promised for the millionth time that they're no longer siblings and thus mom can't force them to play together.

It starts with a bit of loneliness and regret after a fight, slowly building up into something more intense and urgent, making it impossible for the two siblings to go on with their day until they spend time together without arguing, or suddenly find themselves being hugged by their sibling. No proper apologies are ever said out-loud, except on dire situations or if such formality is demanded by their mother.

Prodigies are much more likely to engage in that kind of behavior first, much to the shock and embarrassment of their dum-dum. Naturally, they are also quicker to accept their sibling's affection than the dum-dum, who is usually afraid of it being a prank.

Transitional object : Chosen possessions that offer security and comfort to a child. They're often soft and huggable items, such as teddy bears, blankets or dum-dums that are used to soothe during a transitional phase. Thanks to them, the mother, even absent, keeps being there for her child.

Zuctionary K Komodo Rhino Meaning 1: In the universe of ATLA, animal from the Fire Nation with horns, mix of rhinoceros and Komodo dragon, bred both as a beast of burden, both for war and civilian purposes, as well as for its meat in Komodo rhino sausages.   Meaning 2: In the Royal Palace, bullheaded mount of the Fire Nation princess. The steed is predominantly straightforward yet unthinking. Without a proper grasp of danger, it is daring in nature, and thus shall sally forth into the unknown or forbidden (the Palace Kitchens), where no other steed dares to venture. Aimless and out of control without guidance. Hot-tempered and impulsive. Trusting yet gullible. Protective and durable. Alright, this needs to stop.

As I mentioned over here, someone is stirring up drama between Zuko/Zutara and Azula blogs by harassing people in their inboxes. At least this time they have (mostly) used their own words instead of directly copying posts from other blogs. Or used a chatbot because boy, howdy, do these messages make no sense, even when they aren't directly copied from other blogs. The eye contact one is a post copied from another tumblr blog, and doesn't even make sense to plop into my inbox because there isn't even an argument presented.

You can see though that this blog has no content, but their followers list is full of Zutara/Zuko and Azula blogs, probably for the purpose of stealing posts to cause drama with. I would suggest everyone on the follow list block and report them immediately, and do this every time you get a message from a blog that looks like this.

An utter stick-in-the-mud of a sibling that will immediately run to mom whenever anything interesting is happening so she can make everything boring again. Has the power to convince mom something is serious, wrong, bad, and not appropriate behavior for royalty, even when it's just harmless arson.

A paradoxical kind of bond that is often walking the line between being fragile and nearly impossible to break. A burden that is able to inspire love, hate, compassion and resentment, often at the same time. Creates the instinct to care for and protect someone in their time of need, or to rely on them during moments of great vulnerability. Usually the only thing that remains when all else is gone.

A female younger human being who can show unpredictable behavior towards her older sibling that can vary from pure malice to the most extravagant and unsollicited displays of affection, not hesitating to make a fool of him, for example by adressing him by infamous nicknames, preferably in the most inappropriate moments and places such as: in public, in front of girlfriends, when her brother tries to show his virility and his strength in front of his opponents.

Major source of annoyance and stress.

Honestly, I wonder why I spent so much time trying myself to semi-realistic style when I can go with this. So much time could have been spared 😅!

Big Brother :

Usually a dum-dum, but occasionally perfect for the role of protector of a younger sibling, and maybe even worth admiring. It's very hard to get them to do anything without complaining or sharing a sad, personal story, and they tend to be oblivious to other people's need for affection (especially if the person in question is their sibling).

These strange, complicated creatures are usually competent at their tasks, but only after a lot of hard work instead of just being naturally gifted. Their impatience and pride can lead them to self-sabotage, as they neglect their training, choosing instead to resent a person that is more capable than them at the given task (once again, especially if the person in question is their sibling).

However, for reasons beyond human comprehension, they CAN be effortlessly great at anything they want to accomplish, provided they put on a disguise first. If left to their own devices, they might take advantage of said anonymity to commit petty crimes, like stealing mochi from the palace's kitchen to share with their sibling, who was not given any dessert due to being grounded.

For D you should do Dum-Dum: A foolish being that makes irrational assumptions and impulsive decision. A Dum-Dum needs to be looked after constantly or else they are in danger of doing Dum-Dum things. Example: Say something that gets their face burnt off and leaves then banished. To avoid situations such as these, Dum-Dums come with their very own Prodigy

For P, Prodigy: A tiny, sad overachiever with god complex. Prodigies tend to mature quickly and be overly uptight. That usually results to underdeveloped communication skills. Which is why Prodigies always come with their very own Dum-Dum, that they are responsible for and can bond with

Zuctionary challenge

This page is a safe and sharing space where I want everyone who loves the characters of Zuko and Azula to have fun, create, share or even contribute to the the Zuctionary project.

The concept is simple: create an illustrated dictionary (or not for non-illustrators) revolving around the characters of Zuko and Azula. These can be words coming directly from the ATLA universe (like Komodo-Rhino) or more generic words (like Cookies), or even concepts (Transitional Object).

Only rule: I want it to stay SFW. Zucest shippers are welcome, of course, (How hypocritical would I be if I closed the door on them??) but I want everyone to be able to join the Zuctionary without feeling uncomfortable! Minor-zucest is allowed provided it is also interpretable as simply siblings love.

For the moment, we already have the letters K, L and T but it is quite possible to create as many words and concepts as you want, regardless of the alphabet. When the zuctionary will be sufficiently enriched (which I still doubt a little, because I tend to be enthusiastic for stupid projects which only interest me and which I end up giving up for lack of shared-enthusiasm), I will make a compilation in alphabetical order and will post it here and on Ao3!

I love the concept but the name sucks. I'm really sorry. How about Zucestionary or Zutionary? Or anything that sounds better.

(Don't want to be rude but my mind goes to Suctionary when I hear the name)

It's a little rude indeed. I'm French, so the homophony escaped me. Zucestionary will repel those who hate Zucest. Zutionary... Why not, but it less obvious that it's about Zuko and Azula.

To everybody: If you have other suggestions, tell me. I will create a poll. As soon as we are more than 4 here!

Honor:

Great respect for someone, or the feeling of pride and pleasure resultant when respect is shown to you.

Something Dum-dums are constantly seeking, losing, seeking again only to loose it for good.

Honor is a fragile concept, constantly compromised by ridiculous situations or the intervention of creatures as mischievous as snakes slipping in your boot, lemurs clinging to you whatever you try to do, or, and it's the most dangerous species: little sisters.

Little sisters like to test their older sibling's honor from time to time, by calling them with infamous nickname for example, or when they are in a fighting mood, by giving them well-placed low-kick.

Eventually, dum-dums can learn to live without honor but it requiers a lot of self-derision and a significant amont of unflattering misadventures or unexpected encounters with a particularly determined little sister.
