Memory of the Found P.2
“Shera Ali’kh - Cut the Hands - End the Cycle.”
Fek’zarn, Nar’zuul, Rhoku, Taz’ju, and Zin’Vik set off in the early morning, their night plagued by a light casted out by the lighthouse which was within a short walking distance from the Outpost on the hill. (Plus a guest newcomer RPer who wanted to see how to troleplay! (please don’t kill me)) Finding themselves seeking to move upon what they have learned the day before, they’d begin to make their way towards the Temple of the Five Pillars, found on the southern end of the island.
Once they arrived, they’d immediately begin to investigate the pillars, looking for names and anything that could hold reason as to why the Atal’ai tell them to “have faith” in the pillars. They’d search, and results would be found time and time again - They had no patience or time to waste now. The Pillars followed: Pillar of the Lost, Pillar of the Found, Pillar of the Loved, Pillar of the Remembered, and Pillar of the Dead.
As they'd all linger and discuss, they'd find themselves being witness to something strange - New to them, the fact all of them were here, attempting to dissect the meanings behind the pillars... Between all four pillars, within their window-like arches, they would see a glimmer of the sun of dawn striking what seems to be thin, finely woven threads of silk. Was it a trick of the mind, or was it something else? They'd see it for a few moments if they truly paid attention to it, but after that, it would no longer be seen. The sigils and symbolic markings of the Loa of Shapes, the Lynx of the North, Frog of the Marsh, and the Thunderlizard of New Beginnings were all seen from left to right. It would be a glaring visual. Light and shadow, casted against the pillars, always meeting in the middle of the temple. Within it, beneath the stains of the markings left behind from their recent ritual, was a deeply encarved mural, that only seemed to be seen at a certain time of day, under certain conditions. It was a heart being held within a thin three-fingered hand, around it were eyes surrounding the prior organ with empty pupils. All around them, they'd almost sense the air being lifted out of their lungs, and they'd be stricken with the inability to speak. It felt as if they were being siphoned of all life, and shadows would seep in from the horizon as the sun began to draw far below the edge of the land. Violent flashes, like thunder striking in quick succession, of a sight around them - The temple rebuilt, made again in a new image, but then it would be shattered. Broken into pieces. After, nature would retake it, and they'd see it, a flash of light across the land, then it would meet them. Suddenly, it would cease, and they'd see only white. Finding themselves within the depths of Tal'akaai, the screams of every possibly voice that is capable of being heard, all beings were: here. From Ogres to Trolls. All people... And the light would retract, filling in with shadow. In front of their darkened vision was a pair of glowing yellow eyes, but behind it was a legion of dark shadowy pairs staring at them. A large grin came forward, breaking the darkness, and they'd see one thing - A glowing star, a world, and two moons around the previous world. The world was coveted by a shadowy hand, but then the vision would end. Ahead of them was the darkness of night, and the eery silence of time.
However, it was not quite done - The darkness around them would begin to be filled in by a deeper seat of shadow. From this, echelons of ethereal hands would creep out towards them, but they'd go past them, heading into the center of the Temple, where the circle of it all was. A plume of shadow began to grow, and grow... It would be seen becoming taller until it would tower above them all. It almost billowed and breathed in its own right, then it would say one sentence. "Good to see you again..." It would say in a distorted way that would barely be recognizable as a voice. Those who stood here were stunned, shocked, and all matter of confused. Some amongst them recovered faster than others, but all felt and saw the same vision.
Nar’zuul pops a squat and takes a moment to recover and come back from being scared beyond his wits. "T-talk about being discouraged from ever wanting to venture out alone on this Island..." He’d murmur. Taz’Ju had finished the drawing just in time to see hands creeping past him. He watched without moving as they coalesced into whatever the fuck that is. Taz folded the parchment and placed it back into his bag as he slowly stood up. "Don't recognize ya face, sorry." Clearly Taz was uncomfortable. Rhoku growls as the shadows start to gather. He drops down into his cat form, teeth bared and claws extended, though he's given a bit of pause when the shadow being speaks. Still, he stands clearly ready to pounce, waiting silently for whatever happens next. Nar’zuul took a step back from watching creepy hands go slithering across the ground only to pool together and form a huge talking plumb that he feared if angered would try to eat them. "... Again?" he pondered. He knew this community was fresh and new so this couldn't be the second time this -thing- had dealings with this group. Unless he referred to the Trolls? "You think he means us as in Trolls?... Didn't one of you mention that possible Trolls lived here before?" He’d ask. Taz’Ju flicked his ears a few time, not sure how to respond. He'd glance at the others curiously to see what they might think of what the entity said. He flicked his ears a few time, not sure how to respond. He'd glance at the others curiously to see what they might think of what the entity said. Zinvik stood there and almost didn't believe this was real. He didn't trust any of this, nor did he believe the vision was truly over. Were they all here beside him...? Rhoku seems to relax -very- slightly, lifting his head and perking his ears forward slightly. "...Are you talking about the... uh... light-shadow guys and the fog spirit... things?" He’d ask towards the shadow being which spoke.
The shadow being looked to Rhoku, and it almost felt as if its eyeless face was glaring right at him. Burning a hole into his very spirit. Still, it would give an apparent nod. "The Atal'ai are fanatics driven by a self-driven sacrifice, and the Shera Ali'kh are a Cult who defined an era by turning away the Loa of Death, and the Father of Sleep. They were once two societies who lived in their own enclaves, but in time, divisions came - And this land was subjected to being struck in half. Only when you allowed the presence, or weakened the bonds the Shera Ali'kh held, you allowed those seeking to end it to return." It would say. "No, we want to end both the Atal'ai and the Shera Ali'kh. The two should not exist without the other, and neither should exist at all." It would say openly. Cordae would not be capable of appearing near Taz. The shadow being would extend out its left hand. Grabbing the crystal, and it would be physical. "Peculiar..." It would say lowly, then bring it within itself. "And what of you three?" It would say, pointing at Xen'aji, Nar'zuul, and Zin'Vik. "Tell me - did the Atal'ai speak to you as well?" It would ask.
Taz’Ju shifted uncomfortably as Cordae never appeared on his shoulder. "What do you make of this then?" Taz procured the darkened crystal from his pouch and offered it towards the being. "The Atal'ai gave it to me golden, but it turned when given to me." He held it out towards them.
The being then looked back to Taz'Ju, keeping the crystal for a few more moments. "They expect you to submit to them in order to get rid of the Shera Ali'kh, so they can do as they please. That is how the cycle begins again, neither of them care for any living, but they care for their devotion and hand. It is the faith in the Loa, and the ones around you which matters. This crystal will prove detrimental, but it is possible you can use it against them." It would say, then extending a ethereal hand towards Taz which held the crystal. And as far as Xen'aji could tell, it was not from here, but rather something that is visiting. An evil spirit, maybe, but definitely a powerful one. After this, it would look to the others, and give a canted nod of its head. "I am known as Zuljaraal, Keeper for the Pillar of the Lost." It would say, then wait almost politely.
Xen'aji would hold his tongue, staring daggers into the being, though he would bow his head slightly at the title. "So you are the guardian of this title. We seek your help." The Venomblade would state.
Zuljaraal looked down at them, but then it would tilt its head a bit. "Curious... Come forward, Lost One." He would say, pointing down at Nar'zuul. Beckoning him forward with a finger. "What is your name?" It would ask, standing up straight, and holding the top of the staff in both hands.
The Hexxer swallowed hard before speaking softly to the strange being. "I am Nar'zuul..." he stated bluntly while clasping his hands together and fidgeting a bit in the presence of Zuljaraal.
It would crouch down, looking to Nar'zuul, and it would extend out a hand for him to shake. "I can help you. Do you seek the same as they do?" It would ask, an almost grin-like expression grew on its shadowy face. "Nar'zuul, a pleasure to meet you. Lost or forgotten, you are as you are. Strong and mighty in the face of defeat, but yet you stand proudly. What say you now, Nar'zuul? Willing to offer yours to an old hand?" It would inquire curiously.
Nar’zuul had something of a similar dealings with a mighty being once but this one seemed to different. Off in a way. His words were filled with praise and trust yet his instincts were telling him that something was wrong but if the others were wanting this creatures help, then who was to deny the others the request. "I am not entirely sure of your intentions my friend... You give praise quick but I can not judge you solely on how you wish to asses me. My friend Taz wishes for your aid and since my Overseer values his words, then I too must ask the same of you... if it not be to much trouble." He says as he extends a hand out to meet Zuljaraal's own.
As their hands met there would be a sudden realization - It was warm, like the hand of another, and it would feel like actual flesh and bone he was grabbing onto. "Ah, do not worry, in the end, we all seek the same thing." The being would say, then as their hands would part, Nar'zuul would see a small marking on the palm of his hand. It appeared to be a bleeding heart within a skeletal hand, eyes surrounding it all. "The Lost watch over you, Little One. You know - If you never tell them, they may never know." The being said, laughter echoing around them, and then it would dissolve into the ground around them, crossing between their feet. In time, the darkness would begin to grow lighter. However, it was still dark. No longer did a hand reach out, and no longer did the shadows stare back. It was simply a dark night. The stars above, and the two moons seen clearly in the sky.

For the OC fact swap!: Zin'Vik doesn't play many instruments, but if there is one thing he'll always play if given one, is a drum.
While the water walker doesn’t play as much any more, she would often play the flute in years past. From specific pieces for a Dance to recreational tunes, Winoa adored the soaring yet calming melodies she could create.
As the years went on, she slowly stopped playing as much as she used to though. However, she’s been looking to get back into it, perhaps playing when she needs to take a step back and calm herself down.
Thank you @discipleofhethiss!

What does Zin'vik consider his greatest strength?
At this point, probably his allies? Sounds cheesy but it’s accurate! At the end of the day one can rely on their personal strengths, but it always amounts to what one person can do. Then you have multiple, it’s something entirely different. His greatest personal strength is likely his connection to Hethiss, in many ways it allows him to persevere and in many places he’s found a code of morality/logic that helps him solve many issues. He’s found that brain can beat brawn, though, but it has been situational. (Thanks for the ask, @leahdarkspear!)

❤️🍻☢️
❤️- For a secret crush:
I could make a joke about this and say it’s Xen’aji but Zin’Vik despite being very unaffectionate he had a romantic crush on a few people. Some times he just finds people attractive physically or their personalities/characteristics make him want to know more. And so, right now as it stands, it’s definitely a Zandalari Dancer. 👀🍻- For something bad/mischievous you did as a child or teen that your parents don’t know about:
Zin’Vik when he was growing up in Durotar within Sen’jin Village once planted a live crab into his surrogate father’s glove, that’s something rather tame but the worst he’s done is stabbing another kid with a shank after they got into a fight. Which, Zin’Vik freaked out and ran but the kid was even more freaked out so they didn’t say anything, and later those two became good friends. For some reason, a lot of the times Zin’Vik becomes friends with those he stabs.
☢️- For a controversy or scandal they have been able to keep mostly under wraps:
Honestly, there is quite a lot of things he’d done that could’ve potentially gotten him killed but the most recent was trying to kill a swarm of bats with poison and the other was trying to set someone’s shrine to Hir’eek on fire. But arguably the most well hidden one is when he tried to assassinate Zalakar who was an old Amani Blood Lord.

Feel
FEEL. -How does your character react to a persons touch? A random stranger’s? A loved one’s? A friend’s?
It depends on the person! He’s once elbowed someone in the windpipe for hugging him from behind while he was perched up in Hethiss’ Shrine.. So I suppose it depends on whether or not they surprise him! But, he’s known to be very physical, in a way, he’s very “vocal” with his movements.
He’ll take the gentle caress of a loved one like a bee to honey, honestly. While he’s ride hard and die hard (he wishes), most of the time, he’s very capable of enjoying his life and its small treasures.
And a good friend, one he has formed a strong bond with, he’d be the first to offer them comfort. In return, he’s accepting of any comfort they give him despite what may be seen. However, most people he has this amount of care for usually don’t try to give him too much affection in public. Usually.
In the end, it’s all in good fun, but I wouldn’t recommend sneaking up on someone who is extremely paranoid. 👀

✍ : Offer 3-5 tips on how to get other role players started on interacting with your muse.
✍ : Offer 3-5 tips on how to get other role players started on interacting with your muse.
1- ASK ME! I don’t mind to roleplay with people, in fact, I’m down to chat OOC and ICly Zin’Vik is very curious to speak to those he does not know. Usually. Still, I’m always up to RP with folks if we get along!
2- Be considerate! It goes both ways, but I don’t always have the time to RP at all hours, and sometimes I just don’t feel like RPing! But if asked I will usually always present a good time and if it doesn’t fit the other person then I always try to accommodate!
3- Relax, I’m only human! I get hella nervous when making introductions, but I like to know folks a bit before RPing, and truth be told again, I am not the best at making up RP scenarios but I basically compiled a list of them to not struggle for like 30 minutes thinking of one that fits /perfectly/ because there hardly is anything that is perfect!
4- Realize that Zin’Vik isn’t that kind, in fact, most of his intentions are selfish but not necessarily malicious. For him, and in his experience, the world he lives in is one where you are either eaten or eat others. He can get along with people who he shares common interests in quite well, but a genuine friendship takes work to acquire but when acquired it’s essentially set in stone for him and he’ll risk his life the other in that case.
5- He’s also very erratic when caught in a bad moment. He’s paranoid to the definition and deceitful to the teeth, but he isn’t crazy! At least in his own eyes!
(Thanks for the asks, @0wlfish!)

❤ : What are some role-plays that you have done/are doing that you particularly enjoy and wish to share with your followers? ✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?
❤ : What are some role-plays that you have done/are doing that you particularly enjoy and wish to share with your followers?
I enjoy quite a lot of different role-plays, but I find roleplay which is new to me to be interesting. Anything that helps develop both characters is interesting to me.
The one role-play I say developed my character the most was the one with Wa’heda. But there was many along the way. In his regular way he goes off to do his own thing when others are actively going about their course of action. So, when they were in Tanaris assisting the Farraki he decided to investigate the surrounding desert and found himself attacked by fel creatures which with their corruption began to spread up his arm. He cut it off and had to limp back through the desert to the outpost they were at. In truth, if she hadn’t helped him he would’ve died and it would’ve been quite an end I think. I think taking risks in some way is good to a character, but at the same time, take all things with consideration and don’t do anything you know you’ll regret.
✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?
I answered this already but I have a lot to say about a lot of things! So, I was drawn to roleplay specifically because I found myself casually RPing on Moon Guard and I made a troll named Raptaslaya. He was not a good character.. BUT!.. I didn’t give up on him, not yet at least. I continued to build a story that wasn’t very lore-abiding (not really to my knowledge at the time) and I made it to fit what I liked as a 14-15 year old. Which was a pretty cliche trope, but hey, eventually it worked out! However, around 16-17 I joined a heavy RP guild on Wyrmrest that pretty much made me change a lot of that, and I didn’t really say no, which was definitely for the best! I came up with a good story, background, and introduction because of trial and error.
My favorite characters will always be ones that can grow and expand, which are most characters in reality, even if the mun or muse does not believe they can.

✔ : What drew you to the character you currently play? What types of characters are you generally drawn to?
I was drawn to my character because I always enjoyed the idea of a savage primitive character trying to live out in a world which would rather do without them. But I was also drawn to him because I am of Mexican descent and I found the Gurubashi to resemble the stereotypical Aztec thematic with an ever hungry blood god. Any characters I’m drawn to (in terms of what I write for) are usually multi-layered, as in they are not always as they seem to be. My Paladin Goudwin is a simple man with simple wants, but underneath the stoicism he is actually mortified by the idea any harm can come to him or that the light will abandon him. My Highborne Telandras is very intelligent and refined but he is also very judgemental of himself and other Highborne, since he isn’t one to linger in the past any longer than he had. And Zin’Vik takes the cake when it comes to being “multi-layered”, since he’s a fanatical Priest of Hethiss but also doesn’t believe that his destiny was to squander over shrine within Zul’Gurub forever.
▲ : What sort of information do you like to see on someone’s role play page that helps you determine whether or not you would want to write with them?
Honestly the first would be dedication to the character. The ability to stick to one character (at least in some way) and just have a good time with them. I find myself unable to have a good time with someone in RP or in collab if they themselves cannot enjoy their own character.
Second would be some information upon them, while I prefer to know about them with large detail, and I would rather have it be as descriptive as possible, I find myself enjoying figuring it out along the way. I don’t hold too many barriers to who I roleplay with, especially if I could help them in any way to develop their character. Because real talk, that’s the best feeling in the world. To an extent!

something they do that hurts others
Quite a lot of things. But, likely what he recognizes the most as “not acceptable” is when he lies to his mates. He says he doesn’t/will not, but he does. Mostly relatively small in comparison to others, but it’s still a thing he does and Wa’heda catches on sometimes.
In a physical sense, it’s a bigger list, he’s cut tongues out, lacerated gums, hacked off ears, and I’ll eventually run out of synonyms for cut so I’ll just say he isn’t very kind to those who lie or disrespect him or anything he holds highly.
(Sorry it took so long, but thanks for the ask, @ventress-caramellatte!)

He’s got two! Na’jani and Wa’heda! He treats them equally and loves them both. Necalli, Nenetl, and Itzil are Na’jani’s kids and Nakhya is Wa’heda’s kid!

Does your OC have any piercings or tattoos? If so, is there a story or meaning behind any of them?, Does your OC have an opinion on other troll tribes? Do they discriminate against any of them?, and Is your OC misogynist/sexist? Do they have an opinion on the position of female trolls in their tribe?
1) Does your OC have any piercings or tattoos? If so, is there a story or meaning behind any of them?
Zin’Vik has a large tattoo on the left side of his body! Any piercings he holds are virtually closed by now, but he’s pierced his ears before, his shoulders, his biceps… But eventually after leaving them alone for a long while, they kind of closed on their own, albeit, a lot of them were cut off then regenerated. Being a troll is handy for removing many of those unsightly scars!
However, there is a huge story behind his tattoos. Because while it’s all connected, there are many there. So, I’ll keep the stories brief. Best seen in 1) and 2). The two “arrows” on his chest are to symbolize the loss of his first mate and child, the longest one being his mate and the shortest one his child. Each one on equal ground, as he loved them both greatly but the same, with the streaks coming down from the side to have a semblance of the blood/tears that it left him in. (Don’t worry, it’s all edgy, so just in case you were worried) The “blood/tears” carries to his arm, meaning it lead him to take up “arms” against what caused their deaths, and the streaks of blood/tears only got shorter until it soon lead him to, you guessed it (if you looked at the 1) picture) more blood and tears. A lot more. Now there are no arrows, only blood. More sacrifice, and more loss, but none of it really pierced his heart as did the first two times. If you look above it, you may be able to piece together it vaguely looks like the face of a snake. There is no coincidence in that, as it was Hethiss who brought much of that blood, and Zin’Vik gave it willingly. Then you loop around (as none are on his back), right above the two arrows is a saw-like tattoo, a simple one, meant to symbolize his cut off with the past. No one will likely ever know this ICly, but, it’s good to write about it sometimes (even if very briefly stated, relatively).
2) Does your OC have an opinion on other troll tribes? Do they discriminate against any of them?
He doesn’t like many others, in fact, he doesn’t hold a lot of love for anything but the Gurubashi, and even then it’s more of a “Oh cool we’re both the same kind of fucked” situation! But, despite all of that, his true opinions on someone is based on what he believes their soul holds, their actions show, and their truest intention underneath pressure.
To add, he does discriminate against just about every tribe including his own. To briefly glance over it:
He believes Farraki are all sand-crawling thieves who’d be very untrustworthy when placed in between a modicum of survival and others. (Although he understands, and may respect, the ability to survive at all costs)
He believes Amani are vulgar idiots who would rather die than give up their pride and loose territory held ages ago. (Albeit he would rather see the Gurubashi reunite and retake Stranglethorn underneath a strong leader than see them turn to the Horde, as the Darkspear were the ones who went into Zul’Gurub in recent times)
He believes the Drakkari are fools for “betraying their Loa” for a fruitless struggle for their territory from the Scourge. In his eyes only emboldening the Scourge with the death of their powerful Loa and adding more to their bodycount. (Although he knows it was a desperate action hoping to meet an end, but in the long-term it was a depressing outcome)
He believes the Zandalari are arrogant for staying in their mountains while the other tribes died. Whether or not it was Zul’s actions in recent times, it lead to the death of many, many trolls of many tribes. A sour disposition was left towards them since he saw the rise and fall of the Hakkari in recent years, each time the Zandalari either sat around or assisted in the killing of more Gurubashi who may have been innocent and only trying to help their own home. While he believes Hakkar was a curse and not a blessing to be sought out, the fact that his own people resorted to trying to resurrect Hakkar after being ousted from the city after thousands of years was not due to an ambition for power, but rather, a desire to survive after decades of decline. (Despite this, he respects the King and his Council)
3. Is your OC misogynist/sexist? Do they have an opinion on the position of female trolls in their tribe?
Honestly, no not really. He’s seen a lot of sexism, but whether or not it’s present in his own culture, he has seen the rise of many powerful women. Whether canon or not! Warriors are not defined by their sex to him, those faithful to their Loa are not defined by what their gender is, only their ability. Despite the fact (also because Blizzard is a coward and won’t allow BIG women) that the males are larger on average, he’s seen that matter very little when in his tribe a very good equalizer is a decent amount of poison. In truth, he’d feel very stupid to believe a woman lesser/weaker than him. Knowing full well the two women in his life can kill him if they wanted to do so.
(Thanks for the asks, @stonestridernerd! Took a bit of time writing these, I always enjoy these asks!)

4 & 7!
You picked the good ones my friend! Other two picked it as well, but, I got more for you anyway!
4) a trait they’re ashamed of:
Zin’Vik is ashamed of showing affection. It implies weakness to him, and weaknesses can be manipulated. He always goes on about how anyone who follows Hethiss truly, should not hesitate in putting aside such bonds. Not because they are not good for oneself, but because they can be used against them. Whether by the person they feel for, or by someone else wanting to hurt them. And that was proven right when the EXACT THING HAPPENED TO HIM!
7) something they do that hurts themself:
He convinces himself that he’s right most of the time. Even when he’s wrong. It’s an idea of pride that he has yet to relinquish, but he also never found reason to do so in his position. He’s lost a lot of friends due to it, and gained a lot of people who he never truly care about because they believed him. The latter are no longer existent in his life, but the prior was something he also chalked up to being necessary.
(Thanks for the asks, @rosehip-ingame!)
