History Of Earthing

Earthing, as it relates to humans, has been around for centuries. Indigineous people around the world, and our ancestors, have been practicing “earthing” long before it had a name. Simply walking this earth barefoot, absorbing the earth’s frequencies was an everyday practice, not much thought about, but intuitively ingrained within our heritage and history. The Native communities knew the importance of being in touch with mother earth, and all her energy. They also still walked most places, slept on the earth’s floor, and bathed in the sunlight. Sneakers were not only functional, but became a fashion staple as well. Suddenly every man, woman, and child were wearing sneakers with rubber soles. These soles instantly stopped the earth’s magnetic frequency from entering the body, a relationship that earth and humans had, since the beginning of time. It was as if overnight, we had disrupted our connection to the earth and its potential to heal, ground, and protect the human body. As time went on, we began to have less and less contact with the earth’s ground below us, and more and more electromagnetic fields began to be introduced into our world through satellite, radar, and WI-FI technology. What was all that change really doing to our bodies? Our electromagnetic systems within our bodies, began to shift and attempt to adapt, holding more unwanted electricity than ever before. It seems that many would never know any other way of life, nothing to compare it to, therefore, nothing really seemed “different”. That is where we were wrong, and we had no idea of the natural consequences of this shift.

The Discovery Of Earthing In The Modern World

Clinton Ober was a cable TV salesman, in the 1980’s, who formed Telecrafter Corporation, which is the largest provider of cable marketing installation services in the United States. This contraption allowed him to be grounded while laying in his bed. The next morning when he awoke he was dumbfounded, and overcome with elation. The results were astounding. Not only did he wake up feeling refreshed and renewed, but he usually had to take Advil to fall asleep, and yet for the first time in over a year, he fell asleep and stayed asleep, drug free. Excited by his findings, he eagerly began to research, and found absolutely nothing anywhere on the topic. In fact, he couldn’t find anything on the cause of chronic pain and inflammation either. His brain began to question and wonder what the connection was between chronic inflammation and EMFs. Nobody had ever asked this question before. This propelled Clinton’s research, which over the years, has included many different doctors and scientists who were skeptical, but willing to participate in his research. In fact, many who participated, did so, to prove his theory wrong. The findings were overwhelming, and surprising to say the least. Clinton began with his first medical study that was composed of sixty people, all who had a varied experience with chronic inflammation, ranging from TMJ, arthritis, M.S., migraines and insomnia. All of them found relief, some even had all symptoms disappear. This initial study and its profound findings, began to make its way around to renowned physicists, researchers, PHD’s, doctors, and scientists, who all wanted to participate in further studies. As time went on, and these studies continued, there was a theme emerging. It was apparent that earthing played a direct role in decreasing chronic inflammation within the body. Research had shown grounding was indeed diffusing the excess amount of electrical charges in the body that were stemming from the environment, and actually balancing the Electrical Magnetic Field within the human body.

Inflammation… Frustration

These studies zeroed in on one particular focal element that we all struggle with to some degree…inflammation. What causes it, where does it come from, and how do we get rid of it? Quick Gotham 5x10 thoughts

Finally watched it. No Gobblepot, again. Babs is amazing, Bruce is amazing, Oswald is reduced to hysterics just for the heck of it, and despite all the pizzas the episode is kind of meh. Oh, and Dr Strange is incredible as always and I love him.

Now let’s get into details a bit. Since I’m not in the usual morning hurry, I’m afraid it might get lengthy.

Eduardo’s becoming Bane through Hugo Strange’s experiments, and oh, BD Wong’s voice is too enjoyable XD The scene is a bit disturbing though.

Then we get to Jim and Harvey, and a military general that’s supposed to give the all-clear for the Gotham reunification with the mainland and all that. Jim’s pessimistic. It’s kind of cute seeing him all anxious-like. He gives another speech, urged by Harvey who congratulates him on having a kid. Yay. Another speech. Does anybody love Jim’s speeches? As much as I adore Jim as a character, he simply doesn’t have the charisma necessary to giving a good, rousing, motivational speech. Now Oswald, yeah, that’s a speaker. Jim... not so much. But we get some close-ups of him smiling and I’m thankful for that.

Then we get the submarine plot and Babs arriving in style. Oswald bickers with her about the luggage, her contractions start and yay, she drives away leaving Oswald and Ed attempting to escape Gotham without her. Then there’s a cute scene with Alfred and Selina which I’m not going to dissect, because what follows is a scene of Jim being a major DICK and it overshadowed most of the episode for me.

So, Lee contacts Jim by radio saying Barbara showed up and he should come. He says he’s on his way, asks them to wait (played for laughs, I guess), and then. And then he fucking adds “I love you” over the radio, when talking to Lee. Like. Jim. Radio is loud. Babs can hear you. We don’t know what she might be feeling for you at this moment because we were never shown that, but I’d imagine her to be at least somewhat hurt by that. And Jim. It would’ve cost you zero effort to hold those words back. It’s not like you’re going across enemy lines to make it to the hospital and that’s why those words could be your last and therefore important to voice. No. It was routine going to the hospital through a pacified area of Gotham. Not a hot zone. Nobody was dying. But Babs was in a lot of pain and stress and emotionally vulnerable and Jim couldn’t find it in himself to spare her just a little bit of pain.

Seriously, whenever Lee is in Jim’s life, Jim becomes a major and unlikable prick. So nope. Never gonna enjoy this pairing. And I refuse to consider this exchange canon, ffs, because I think Jim really is capable of kindness and he could at least be kinder to the mother of his child. Ugh. Gotham. Why must you torture me so and twist the characters into disfigured reflections of themselves?

And of course, Jim never makes it to the hospital because he promptly gets kidnapped. Bane gives us and Jim his backstory about Pena Dura, and ugh, it’s very gruesome, and I like Jim warily trying to give Eduardo what Jim thinks he wants - some compassion. Which Jim, I suppose, lacks severely this episode. Then Walker shows up, brings in Bruce, they torture Jim to make Bruce suffer, it all is perfectly villainy and I like this plot, it’s good. It reminds me of the major plots of the previous seasons. Now, if only we had more episodes to really explore that...

Oswald tries saying goodbye to Gotham, claiming his heart will always remain... duuuh! As long as Jim’s in Gotham, Oswald’s heart remains in Gotham, so there! But alright. It’s making Oswald look pathetic and dramatic and then Ed shows up to say there’s no leaving Gotham since Babs took some valve. Yay. We get Oswald dramatically screaming Barbara’s name. I see no reason for that, just that the writers seem to enjoy making Oswald do dramatic and over-the-top stuff with his emotions, because, yeah, he’s spectacular at that, and yet... it makes little sense. But alright. Let’s go on.

Babs and Lee are at the hospital, making awkward talk, alright. Walker sends Bane after Barbara, Jim tries to stay his hand by saying she’s pregnant, she has a kid, like... okay, Jim. Does it work this way in your mind? The baby has to live because it’s yours, but screw Barbara because you don’t want her? Like, yeah, maybe the baby argument would work with many people, but... Bane? A pretty much merciless mercenary at this point, probably brainwashed, too? Is that why you can’t plead with him to spare Barbara for Barbara’s sake? Ugh. I don’t know, it seems logical but this scene still irks me a lot. It’s like Babs is some sort of a walking incubator, disposable... I hate this thought.

Oswald and Ed show up at the hospital, we get a glimpse of admittance of the events of S4 with the relationship between Ed and Lee, a bit of comic exchange between all the participants - Oswald tries to threaten Babs with a gun, gets chastised by Lee, immediately feels sheepish for doing the threat and whatnot, and it’s actually kind of cute. Bane shows up, breaks it all up.

Poor Barbara. Having to deal with all of this during childbirth, and with the people you cannot rely on to protect you, either physically or emotionally. Lee wheels her away as Ed agrees to buy them some time, and Oswald is weirdly excluded from this exchange, ugh. I hate Oswald getting ignored. And oooh, we get more comic fits from him and hyperbolized reactions to blowing shit up as per Ed’s suggestion. Oh joy.

Then we get a scene with Strange trying to modify Jim the way he did Bane, but Jim, surely, manages to free himself. Hugo Strange is a delight in every scene, seriously, I love how dramatically, theatrically creepy he is. And - just because the thought strikes me so hard in this scene - Jim is really at his best when he has to act. When he has to do something, to free himself or someone, to help someone, when it’s his driving force, he is so much in his element, he becomes twice as alive as he usually is. And this makes me think he’s never going to feel completely comfortable in his settled married life, he’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie, he’s always going to chase that.

Babs and Lee make it out of the hospital, Lee asks Barbara why she’s so set on running away, and when Babs says she has doubts about Jim leaving her to raise the baby, Lee tries to persuade her it’s not so. And okay, I’m biased. Very. But... I don’t trust Lee when she says that? She might be feeling some compassion for Barbara because she’s going through pain, but I believe that the moment it passes Lee’s gonna be back to her pretty callous and unkind self, the one that nagged Jim at the precinct and slapped him for no reason. So no. I don’t trust her within a mile of Barbara and her child. Even if the scenes they have here are kind of cute.

I don’t even want to get into the scene of Ed having that valve all the time and Oswald calling him out on that. It’s good for that throwback to S4 and Ed and Lee’s relationship. But... I don’t like that the writers seem to have no idea what to do with Oswald in this episode and so they reduce one of the smartest, genuinely compassionate and resourceful characters to a comic relief. Which is unsettling and frustrating. The way he behaved with Barbara last episode, I’d have thought he’d be more inclined to help her, since he basically tends to adopt the less fortunate people around him, in some sense, especially if he connects to them, and boy, does Oswald have a connection with Barbara.

So. much. wasted. potential. guys.

Okay, time to wrap this up somehow... Bruce was really good, I loved his scenes. Alfred and Selina were very touching too. Jim is still at his best when he’s saving people.

And I’d go to enormous lengths if it meant we’d see a Gobblepot scene, ugh, please! I’m starving! Also it’s such a waste to not use a character such as Oswald more actively. He only reacts this episode. Do you even know who that man is, writers? He’s fucking King of Gotham. He’s always proactive. He always has a plan. And he lights up like a thousand watt light bulb in the presence of Jim Gordon. Now that’s worth watching anytime.

A place you should avoid

Wir sind jetzt dabei, den zweiten Teil unserer Reise durch die USA vorzubereiten. Die Flüge sind gebucht , Harpo hat auch ein Platz im Frachtraum ergattert, es kann losgehen. Am 27. März fliegen wir nach San Francisco, nehmen ein Mietwagen Richtung Sacramento und fahren am nächsten Tag nach Salt Lake City, um zunächst einmal Michelle Simpson zu besuchen, unsere alte Freundin aus Park City. Wir hätten also gerne ein Motel in der Nähe von Sacramento, wo wir auch mit Harpo unterkommen können. Das ist nicht ganz so einfach in den USA. Viele Hotels nehmen keine Hunde, andere werben damit, dass sie Pet friendly seien. Das ist schon mal gut, nicht so gut ist, dass sie sich ihre Freundlichkeit zum Teil fürstlich bezahlen lassen. 50 und mehr Dollar dafür, dass die Töle mit ins Zimmer darf sind da gar nichts. Zum Glück ist das nicht überall so, aber man muss aufpassen.

Das Haus einer bekannten Kette, bei der wir ganz gerne übernachten, machte auf den Bildern einen guten Eindruck Komma aber die Bewertungen auf TripAdvisor hatten es doch in sich. Man wundert sich fast, dass es Hotels auf solche Bewertungen einfach ankommen lassen und sich schon mal gar nicht dafür interessieren. Overall Rating

March 13, 2019 I'd give no stars if possible and more photos are to come too. My worst experience in a hotel in my entire 58 years on this earth. They disrespected my service to my country as a Veteran. The lady at front desk had no idea of what she was doing or talking about. They have rooms that are so nasty they should be condemned "but as long as the money rolls in who cares" appears to be their moto. Gave us the wrong room and I hobbled to room with my caregiver and the room was already taken and it was OMG like a dumpster and on the one bed was 3 YES 3 little babies I mean like 15 months oldest maybe and for the 3 seconds we stood there it almost made me sick the stink coming out of that room. The weed smell through the whole hotel is like nothing I've smelled before. As I said this is the worst experience I've ever had. I called corporate office and got disrespected again by a "supervisor" and I use that term loosely as possible. The only bright moment in this whole ride through hood trap was speaking to a Jennifer the boss of the incompetent "supervisor who disrespected me. If your a drug addict, gang member or just plain trash do stay here, you'll fit right in and be right at home. I have filed complaints with CPS, The Health Department etc. I've sent all the photos along with a email to every local news station also. This type of behavior cannot be allowed to exist. It's a breeding ground for everything not good for our City and neighbors

December 30, 2018 Super friendly staff. Those others must have been fired or something. The parking area and vicinity is patrolled at night and parking was no problem at all there was extra parking unlike other Red Roof locations here in Sac. There is like 10 fast food places within walking distance. (that's me though. For sure, Wendy's across the street. I went to Del Taco like less than a minute drive away. Patricia told me she has been here six months and was very nice letting me know about the veteran's discount. Thanks.

Want Some Heroin with That?!

December 15, 2018 One star only because zero stars aren't an option. I wish I'd checked yelp before booking this piece of sh*t hotel. The lobby appeared clean and contemporary so I figured it was a decent enough place. We came to Sac to see the Nutcracker ballet and when we arrived back at the hotel we were quickly accosted by a turd selling heroin and crack. He even had the nerve to shove a bag of his drugs in my 12 year old daughter's face! To make matters worse, he came out of the office and when I called down there to report him the clerk refused to answer the phone. It appears that the staff is in on the drug selling shenanigans. I called the sherrif's office and reported it. After this I'm posting on Hotels.com, Traveladvisor.com, and contacting the better business bureau and Red Roof Inn's corporate office.

Roaches

November 23, 2018 Reserved a non smoking room but the room smelled badly of smoke. Could have delt with that but the room was filled with cockroaches. Went back to lobby and requested refund. Clerk was polite and processed refund with no issues. So no complaints of the employers. But can't stay in a place with so many roaches. Neighborhood is pretty sketchy too. Did not feel safe parking and staying there.

Very insulting staff and unprofessional lazy manager r December 19, 2017 I just want to start by saying I never write reviews but after the treatment my family received I had to make sure I start good or bad for all deserving businesses. We checked in and was a little surprised how unfriendly and very short (morning) front desk staff was. Tatiana I believe was knowledgeable of her job but short and not friendly. So checking into the room it was clear management didn't check rooms after staff or give *need to fix list for maintenance. There was black hair on bedsheet. Quilt had food stains and other stains I don't wanna know what they were on them. We also noticed black hair in shower. Tub was not clean at all. we called front desk not asking for anything but just telling them for their knowledge. Also, one bulb in living room out and needed few other maintenance things done. Painting, toilet kept stopping up and broken window lock. So my husband had went to grocery store second morning and called front desk to say no service and please don't knock on door because our 11 yr old 12 next week son was there and we told him not open door unless we called to tell him. She said ok, no problems. Third morning we left hotel from bank which is five minutes down the street and it was 1130. We lost track of time but only 30 minutes and told her we were staying. She gave me attitude and said ok but we needed to be there by noon to pay or we would be charged a late fee. Umm ok but we got there by noon. When we got back our son informed us manager had called room and asked him why he was alone and it was against the law. Shocked we went downstairs to find out the problem and asked why they didn't question us when we paid before going up to room. There were two girls who immediatly started scolding us and saying it was against the law and treating us like bad parents. We told them to check state laws because it's at parents discretion after a certain age. And a almost 12yr old was ok alone for 30 minutes to a hour. They then acted shocked and said well they wouldn't do it. So we went back to room and as time passed I couldn't stop thinking about it and spoke to my husband who said it's just those girls and the night shift employee was really nice (a young guy) and security team was also nice and professional we decided to see if anything else would happen as we had one more day on reservation. That night there were sketchy young people outside obviously high and loud. I called front desk and I guess when security is off two days it's party time. Our insurance (Geico, and they are awesome) sent a tow truck to us and opened our car. They waited ten minutes for us to search car and leave with them to go and have another very expensive key made. We were at dealership having a key maid when Tatiana called and said they found a car key and it was to a Ford. I was happy but it was to late (not her fault) However, we got back at 12:49pm and went to office to get key. Tatiana said we didn't sign papers by noon and manager charging us $25 late fee. We said we had called before noon to inform them we needed another night and why. She said nope we were supposed to sign by noon and computer started flagging us and charging us late fee. She could've checked us out and had paper there for us to sign and checked us in after we got back. Again, not their problem and manager wasn't there but we could have her voicemail. We were upset and told them we were leaving and we would return to checkout. She said we had 30 minutes or she was keeping our whole deposit. We ran upstairs and five minutes Tatiana calls and says her manager had called Sheriff because we didn't checkout on time. I got really angry and felt like I was being treated extremely poorly by staff. She didn't care and we now only had $10 of our $60 deposit left. I asked why she said 30:and she yelled no, and hurry up. We been informed already of hotel policy's which I thought when I called at noon to tell her we were staying we covered that. She didn't say otherwise. I hung up on her and still hurried out thinking no way a chain like this would let their employees act like this. Then a knock at door and rude maintenance man and two housekeepers stood their until we left, never getting a deposit at all. We waited and manager never came. it was working hours. I know this was long but I will write this review everywhere, every week until refunded deposit and a apology I will stand on Watt Ave and stop business. People gotta know. and as we waited in parking lot a man came out yelling cause he was charged $20 for one dirty towel. Horrible service.
