Navigating the Green Frontier: Cannabis Culture in New Brunswick
In the heart of Canada's eastern landscape lies a province that boasts not only stunning natural beauty but also a burgeoning cannabis culture. New Brunswick, often overlooked in discussions about cannabis, has quietly emerged as a hub for enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers alike. As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, New Brunswick stands at the forefront of innovation and progress, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of culture, economy, and regulation.
A Brief History of Cannabis in New Brunswick
New Brunswick's relationship with cannabis traces back centuries, intertwined with Indigenous cultures that recognized its medicinal and spiritual significance long before European colonization. However, it wasn't until Canada legalized recreational cannabis in 2018 that the province fully embraced its potential. Since then, New Brunswick has navigated the complexities of legalization with a blend of pragmatism and ambition, establishing itself as a trailblazer in the industry.
The Rise of the Cannabis Industry
With legalization came opportunity, and New Brunswick wasted no time in capitalizing on the burgeoning cannabis market. The province became home to several licensed producers, including Organigram and Zenabis, which have played pivotal roles in shaping the industry's growth. These companies have not only stimulated economic activity but have also contributed to job creation and innovation within the province.
Moreover, New Brunswick's retail landscape has evolved to accommodate the growing demand for cannabis products. Cannabis NB, the province's retail arm, has established a network of stores that offer a wide range of products, from dried flower to edibles, catering to diverse consumer preferences. This accessibility has not only driven revenue but has also helped destigmatize cannabis use, fostering a culture of acceptance and education.
Cannabis Tourism: Discovering New Brunswick's Green Delights
Beyond its economic impact, cannabis has also emerged as a significant driver of tourism in New Brunswick. Visitors from across Canada and beyond are drawn to the province's scenic beauty and vibrant cannabis scene. From guided tours of licensed facilities to cannabis-themed events and festivals, there's no shortage of experiences for enthusiasts to indulge in.
Moreover, New Brunswick's embrace of cannabis extends beyond recreational use, with a growing interest in its medicinal properties. The province is home to research initiatives exploring the therapeutic potential of cannabis, offering hope to patients seeking alternative treatments for various ailments. This convergence of science, tourism, and culture underscores New Brunswick's status as a progressive leader in the cannabis space.
Challenges and Opportunities Ahead
Despite its successes, New Brunswick faces its share of challenges as it continues to navigate the cannabis landscape. Regulatory hurdles, supply chain issues, and competition from other provinces pose ongoing concerns for industry stakeholders. Moreover, ensuring responsible consumption and addressing social equity remain paramount goals for policymakers.
However, amidst these challenges lie opportunities for growth and innovation. By fostering collaboration between government, industry, and community stakeholders, New Brunswick can further solidify its position as a cannabis pioneer. Continued investment in research, education, and infrastructure will be crucial in harnessing the full potential of the cannabis industry while safeguarding the well-being of its residents.
Conclusion
As cannabis continues to weave its way into the fabric of Canadian society, New Brunswick stands as a shining example of adaptability and progress. From its rich history to its vibrant industry and burgeoning tourism, the province offers a compelling narrative of resilience and innovation. As we look to the future, New Brunswick's journey serves as a reminder of the transformative power of cannabis and the boundless opportunities it presents for communities across Canada and beyond.

How Zenabis Transformed From Ingenious Concept To Crash in 11 Months
How Zenabis Transformed From Ingenious Concept To Crash in 11 Months
It’s not much of a challenge to find cannabis companies that have crashed and burned since the business became legal and companies began to go public about five years ago. But one would be hard pressed to find a more dramatic shooting star than Zenabis Global Inc. In less than a year, starting in January 2019, when Andrew Grieve was named CEO, until December of that year, when he left the…

Zenabis Signs Import Deal with German CBD Producer
Zenabis Global Inc. (TSXV: ZENA) has signed a three-year deal to import 36,000kg of CBD isolate from German producer Farmako into Canada. It makes Farmako the first European company to secure a deal to sell cannabis isolates in the Canadian market. In return it will sell medicinal cannabis produced by Zenabis in Germany, which is Europe’s largest market for marijuana. If the two firms are able to obtain EU export and Canadian import licenses, Farmako will supply the biosynthesized CBD isolate from its facility in Frankfurt. If that is not possible, Farmako will build a bioreactor at one of Zenabis’ existing licensed facilities in Canada and get to work there. Zenabis will then try to sell CBD products direct to retailers through its existing distribution channels and wholesale it in bulk to fellow licensed producers. It will also have first right of refusal on any other CBD isolate that Farmako decides to sell in Canada. Zenabis will contribute towards production costs and profits will be split. “We are purchasing the CBD isolates from Farmako at an incredibly low cost, which will allow us to tap into the rapidly growing Canadian CBD market by supplying products that will be priced much more competitively than current market offerings,” said Zenabis chief executive Andrew Grieve.
Flipping the script
Germany is already the leading European market for medicinal cannabis, but the industry is only just getting started there. It is the world’s fourth largest economy, and the government covers prescriptions for many Germans, so the potential is huge. It has only just started a domestic cultivation scheme that sees three Canadian companies producing the first legal marijuana crops in Germany. Until now it has been totally reliant on imports and Canada is a key beneficiary of that. This represents a flipping of the script, with a German company supplying the Canadian market. Farmako has operations in the UK and Denmark too, and it focuses on the distribution of pharmaceutical cannabis, with plans to become a vertically integrated market leader in every European country. Yet it will not all be one-way traffic, as Zenabis will also supply Farmako with Canadian-grown medicinal cannabis to distribute in Germany. First it needs to achieve EU GMP status, and then the plan is to ship 5,000kg of cannabis to Farmako each year. Both arrangements are supposed to be in Q4 2019.
Undercutting the competition
Farmako flies in the face of traditional CBD extraction methods by using a genetically modified tequila bacterium. It claims this allows it to produce pure CBD – or other cannabinoids if necessary – at mass scale and low costs, and Zenabis argues that this will allow it to significantly undercut the competition in Canada. Zenabis, formed out of Sun Pharm Investments’ reverse takeover of Bevo Agro Inc., says it is on course to produce 479,000kg of cannabis per year once build-out of its various facilities is complete. It has greenhouses in British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The stock has seriously underperformed the market in 2019, decreasing from $6.10 on Jan. 3 to $1.85 at the start of this week. However, it has rallied somewhat on the back of the Farmako news and it opened at $2.01 today. Read the full article

hammering out skyrim extended universe families
rumare is the eldest of four siblings, he only knows two of them though bc his parents had a replacement baby after he left shimmerene!
ceridwen is his younger brother whos in the thalmor, i think each family has to contribute at least one kid to military service but ceridwen is an ass and was amped about it. nurome is third youngest, she n rumare were close growing up but grew apart as adults and are now no contact of course bc rumare left. ocandur is replacement baby and is like four in 4e201, and theres almost no way rumare knows he exists. infant.
my more cringe hc teldryn family dynamic: vadusa is the eldest, when the rest of their family chose to leave blacklight after the red year vadusa decided to stay with her husband. next eldest is zenabi, brother to teldryn, then tel, then little brother rilus. they spend a few years in windhelm, once tel is old enough he n zenabi start mercenary work to attempt to provide for family. while theyre gone on a job a (probably deliberately manufactured) famine hits the grey quarter n their parents n rilus pass, tel n zenabi find out months later and get in huge barnburner of a fight and part on awful terms.
tel n vadusa eventually get back in touch and do exchange letters a few times a year, neither knows if zenabi is still alive
kria has no siblings OR like 15 depending on how you want to count the brotherhood. she and veezara were close in age growing up though, so he was kind of an older brother to her. got her nose scar from scrapping with him. probably killed cicero for stabbing him?
jenassa is an only child, raised by single father in imperial city but they never had like a father-daughter relationship, more mentor-apprentice. he was former morag tong and she always expressed interest in learning to fight from him, winds up fighting in the imperial arena for a while then using that clout to get mercenary jobs, which is how she winds up in skyrim
ilya is also an only child, raised by her aunt on solstheim, no idea what happened to her parents, but her aunt resents ilya and she has a shitty time growing up. leaves to join thirsk mead hall at 17 (she claims shes like 20), then winds up being pulled into werewolf pack at about 19, then leaves that to wander at 23. kind of has a pattern of finding familial-esque relationships then dipping out when it gets rough.
borgakh has lots of siblings, probably like 7 including her? shes one of the younger ones. not super close to her ma bagrak but theyre civil, does NOT like her dad (iirc in game she/her dad will send you a thank-you note if you kill the other).
edit: o ya forgot abt ronthil n andriel
ronthil has older half-sister carwen and twin sister tildri. carwen raised them after their mom passed, they were very close until The Incident, and are close again after they eventually reunite
andriel doesnt know it but he had a much younger sister and an older brother
