I saw you're a fan of a/b/o fanfiction. I'm interested in the trope so much and read some explanations and git the gist of it and I was wondering if you could rec me some good fics to start with for newbies like me?

Yes I am, nonnie. I love A/B/O Larry fics a lot. I’m so happy you want to give it a try. If you have an idea about the genders and read a bit about what a scent is or a rut, a heat, a bond mark, or slick and a knot, you’re very good to go. If half of it sounds weird to you, don’t worry. You will understand it along the way. I knew much less during my first A/B/O endeavors. 🫠

This one was pretty a cute and sexy fic, I only read recently called Tennis Court by @outropeace. It’s only 10k words which might be a good length to start. (Alpha Harry/Omega Louis, best read the tags, oh and it’s not about tennis)

If you’d like to kick off your journey with an Alpha Louis/Omega Harry dynamic, I think A Distant Hazy Light by @greenfeelings is a perfect introduction. It is an entire series, that is super captivating.

And two more honorary mentions. I’m a huge fan of Where You Lay by hampalpert (Omega Louis/Alpha Harry) and of Seeing Blind by zedi (Blind Alpha Louis/Omega Harry). Check the tags and see if you find any of them intriguing. I read both fics multiple times.

Mind, none of these fics have any fantasy elements or shapeshifting/real wolves action in it. Let me know if this is what you’re rather interested in. What I left out entirely are non-traditional A/B/O fics (Alpha Louis/Alpha Harry or Omega Louis/Omega Harry). These are soooo good and way too rare.

Hmmmm. I don’t have many, and I think these really might fall more into the category of “I was a fuck boy until I met you”, but I hope you like these.

the way the storms blow by rbbsbb (E, 22K) What would happen if you walked in on your best friend in the midst of an orgy? Louis finds out and it’s pretty damn hot.

And Touch Me Like You Never by runaway_train (E, 36K) I really enjoyed how this author handled Harry’s confusion and growing attraction and eventual sexuality crisis. That, along with the angst and very sexy smut, made it a really good read.

Seeing Blind by zedi (E, 47K) I really liked the way this author gave a twist to both Omega Harry and Alpha Louis’ characteristics. It’s a whole lot of smut and miscommunication and, of course, a happy ending.

To Be The Friction In Your Jeans by orphan_account (E, 20K) slightly dated characterizations because it was written in 2012 (no one writes OT4/5 orgies anymore, do they?), but I actually really like this one. It’s simultaneously funny, oddly believable, and really damn hot. Harry-centric.

Young & Beautiful by velvetoscar (M, 227K) This fic is wordy and descriptive (which isn’t for everyone) and the characters are probably pretty OOC, but I love it anyway. I know that doesn’t sound like a recommendation, but truly the writing is poetry, the characters are so well-developed, the visuals and setting have stuck with me for years –– there’s a reason this one is a classic.

Into The Blue by zarah5 (E, 117K) honestly, I love all of this author’s fics, but I think this is my favorite of theirs. Louis as a flirty scuba instructor? Newly single Harry who just wants a fling? Boys living on other sides of the world who only have a few weeks together? Heartbreak. Hot af smut. OT5 friendship. Please….give me all that shit.

The light to guide me home by Star_Henderson / @tommosgun (E, 65K) I don’t know what it is about this fic but I’ve read it so many times and I just really love the instant chemistry, the smut is stupid hot and fuels the character growth, and even with the angst, the whole thing is just lighthearted and sexy.

I tend to download my faves so I can read them later, it just means that when I go look for a bookmark, it's sad to see the whole "this fic was deleted" (paraphrasing) notification..thank god I jot down author and fic name! So yeah, I use collections for bookmarks, and two of them are all-stars, the greatest of the great, so this was a relatively easy ask to answer, thanks to past me.
