Touhou OC The First

FRANCIS! Before I get into details about Francis, I want to quickly say a few things:

First: She is my first attempt at ZUN Style art, and I'mma be honest, she is ZUN style in the face and about nothing else.

Second: Francis is kinda a questionable OC to start with, as she counts as spoilers for a Fan-Fic I haven't gotten around to writing yet, so uh, spoilers below.

So Francis is the second protagonist of my as of now unwritten VoTV x Touhou fanfic starring Nazrin. Admittedly, her actual design isn't super important, as she is not typically seen in this form. Francis is a vengeful spirit who is possessing one of the Maniquins around the base. While she does have it get up to normal VoTV Maniquin Shenanigans, she is the ONLY one that has the explanation of being possessed, the others are just like that. The idea is that Nazrin lights her up on accident, and then proceeds to befriend her due to being real fuckin lonely. She's a mischievious little scamp, who if left unattended gets up to all kinds of trouble. She's been stuck inside the Maniquin she's possessing at the Base for God knows how long, and doesn't even know what her name in life was (Francis was a name Nazrin gave the Maniquin itself that just stuck). She's something of an assistent to Nazrin in this story, basically working like an Omega Kurfus in VoTV (Only if they had the personality of one of the alien cat girls). She's FACINATED with aliens and space, hence the alien shirt and star on her hat, and wears a comically oversized lab coat (because I couldn't be fucked to draw hands). In terms of ability, I was thinking something along the lines of manipulation of wood, due to how she basically puppets a wooden maniquin. As for more info on the design details, I gave her a silly cat-ears beanie because her head looked too empty. Added the little ghost thing Yuyuko has because she do be a ghost. The skirt is there for legistical reasons (how would she be able to wear pants?), and I did a little exposed mid-rift action for shits and giggles. The stripe on her skirt is just a stripe of color (pretend there is color). So yeah, that's Francis!

(Oh yeah, also, while I might do Spell Cards for some other OCs, Francis doesn't even know what a Spell Card is, so she doesn't have any)

Conventional? Nah, but I love it for it and if it’s as recognizable as Touhou, you have to admit it works.

just saw someone on reddit asking if there's any touhou mods to replace ZUN's art so they could introduce their friends to the game without being "put off by the ugly art". You do not deserve their cunty slay fighting game sprites if you cannot learn to love a touhou girl in her natural habitat.
