Yuri has more experience with kissing than Otabek does, but it’s still clear who the more skilled of the two was.

Naturally talented, his Otebekim, was.

Yuri doesn’t know how he ever survived the first twenty years of his life without this.

Somehow it’s all on the back burner, the recent loss, the ringing in his ears, the injuries that kept him from the ice, but he knows the sorrow won’t stay away for long, no matter how long and how well he was kissed.

Still, this was a lovely moment, and he intended to make the most of it.

Yuri gets answers at the clinic, but they are quite bittersweet.

 Tinnitus, the ringing in his ears, annoying as it was, can be normal for someone with a traumatic brain injury, like the concussion he has recently suffered.

 It was fortunate for him, that hearing damage hadn’t accompanied the ringing, as the two often went hand in hand.

 It’s nerve-wracking, all the same. Yuri is somewhat tempted, to ask the doctor about his strange Otabek related dreams, but he’s not willing to do so in front of the man who refuses to leave his side. He is still wary of these changes.

 Who knows, anyways, if this specialist who took scans would know much of the less measurable and concrete parts of his mind.

 Yuri knows few things currently, for certain, but when he leaves the doctor, and his dear Otabek, takes his hand as they walk into the street, he feels something calming in his turmoil, something sweet in the chaos.
