OK so I know nothing about like Greek mythology but I am going to start shitposting it bc I read Yrials of Apollo and watched the PJO series and I've decided I like it but I cannot be stuffed to do research
ANYWAYS I think that all 5 siblings who were in Kronos's stomach have some form of claustrophobia.
For Hestia I think it'd be that she has to be in a somewhat open space. Like it can eb filled with people but as long as there is a light source shes okay. She cannot stand the not seeing.
For Hera it calmed down over time. It's only the being locked inside thing that she cannot stand. If she can leave, she is okay but she refuses to be locked inside.
Demeter I feel like cannot be in any small dark room. Bad things happen when she's locked in the dark. She has it the worst.
Hades I feel like because he's underground wouldn't mind the darkness or the enclosed spaces. For him I think that it's the touching he doesn't like. He panics when there are bodies squished against him, suffocating him and he can't breath--
Posiden cannot be locked up, contained in any way shape or form. Not only does the ocean protest at being contained but he feels like he'll burst from anxiety whenever he cannot escape.

The Aschlands: A New Discovery
Tumblr media
Lord Sicaries De’ Vindico entered the gallery with his wife at his side, his arm extended and hers clutching it. He hailed the two men as he passed, moving further into the gallery and waiting so as not to interrupt anything already happening. His wife Avariella, sweeping in on her husband's arm, offering a pleasant smile to the gentlemen at the door before they came to face Lady Azuriann. Her head dips in a polite nod, the smile on her lips widening a bit. Halting her conversation with her guards, Azuriann smiled softly. "Good evening my friends, had I known you were coming I would have put on tea, I do hope things are well?" Sicaries tipped his head. "Oh, we stopped by unannounced, of course. I do not expect such at this hour. We simply were in the area and wished to tend to a possibility of a business venture with you." Seeming quite relieved that it was not anything serious Azuriann gestured for them to enter. “Goodness you gave me a fright, I thought there was something wrong. Lady De’ Vindico, it is a pleasure to see you again, I do hope the children are well?” Placing a few files on the table she gestured toward Yrial and Soluis. "I would like to introduce Soluis Emberstrike, and Lord Yrial Darksun, they are with the guard. Gentlemen, this is Lord and Lady De’ Vindico, dear friends of mine. I do hope it is okay that they are in the room while we conduct business? Also, before doing so, shall I have tea brought in?" Smiling at everyone in the room, Yrial looked up from a devotional tome, "What sort of venture? Hopefully better than whatever our last one was? If it could be called that." Soluis’s ears perked when the mention of a business venture came to light. His attention was caught obviously, until his eyes turned to the Paladin. A disapproving look, towards him. Avariella answered rather quickly looking towards the paladin. “Far better, with far better reward, albeit a much greater risk. Still, a venture that we felt was best brought here before anywhere else." Her fingernails tap idly along Sicarius' gauntlet, clicking over the metal embellishments. Soluis's eyes soon turned to the source of said tapping. Then he digested her comment. "What sort of risks do you imply?" He nodded to the Lord and Lady once more. "And of course a pleasure. I'm curious to where you've found this news and what it requires." "No need, unless you'd prefer it. I favor arcwine after my trips to Suramar. At any rate, they are more than welcome to attend alongside us. It is a mission of volunteer import, after all, and if they are intrigued I would happily entertain them." Sicaries beckoned them closer before removing a small tome and offering it to Azuriann. "It is called the Aschlands. I am not free to offer all of the detail, but within that island is an artifact of great importance, which will be detailed in a later follow up." He glanced toward the other men with a nod. "It is an unchartered territory formerly of Quel'dorei possession. Now, it is uncertain what the life looks like, but we do know that it is trolls and swamps ahead of us. We would require much resource, most of which is easily offered up on our own behalf. The issue is that we will require specialists of different sorts to pepper the soldiers we are taking, for effectiveness. This is where you and your people come in, as I am aware that many if not all of them have some sort of specific skill that might bring us good fortune." Yrial looked down, glancing at what he could see of the tome as he listened. "What can you tell us about the artifact?"
Sicaries glanced at the paladin. "It has the potential to turn a mana bomb into a relic of the past, decaying to time. Or to help us rebuild entirely. It will require endless centuries of mastery to utilize in a real capacity, but it may be the link we are missing in some of our magic arts." Avariella nodded in agreement with her husband's words, piping up once he was finished. "It is good to see you too, Lady Ab'Adiania, and our children are very well, I thank you for asking. As for the island, what little scrying we have been able to perform has revealed several impressive energy sources. Whatever secrets the land holds, I believe it is worth investigating and I am never one to make a bad investment." Taking the tome Sicaries offered, Azuriann was going to ask about the artifact as well, but Yrial had beaten her to it. "We do have many specialists at hand to assist in what is needed, of course I would be happy to lend aid anything to further the Museum and our people.” Glancing down at the tome and her brow furrowed. “I have never heard of this place, my curiosity is getting the better of me I must say. I am surprised the Reliquary wishes to do business with us again, the last little project they had didn’t go so well. Are you going to be taking command over this mission?” "Yes. I was once in a position to help ward off the Reliquary, but as they've proven to be a useless political machine, I will continue to use my sources within the Magistry and Regency to do business on behalf of Silvermoon without their meddling. The Reliquary has already noted they wouldn't touch the Island without thrice what we're taking the contract for. It's still a lucrative deal-- they are simply greedy and afraid of the possibility.” Sicaries stated, “You and your people would be well compensated for the potential hazards, and we will be geared toward a full on landing and the like. Our expedition is merely... A better attempt at what Silvermoon already needs anyway. And I've got the audacity, she has the capability, and we have agreed it is a sound investment." Lady Avariella gave a rather impish grin that curled the corners of her lips, her eyes alight with mischief. "I may have pulled a few strings here or there as well, I frankly didn't care for the Reliquary meddling in whatever we discover there. They may be an authoritative source in Quel'Thalas, but they will always bow to the Magistry's wishes. There will be no worries of any complications from that front, not as long as I hold the rank that I do." The details certainly caught Soluis’s attention - Still it left the mind to wander. "But what dangers will this cost us? What of the prices of flesh and blood, if this is something the Reliquary, with all of it’s' resources avoids, I would like to know more of what we are to face." Inclining his head Yrial spoke of his own concerns, if this mission was to be a success, then they needed to know what lay ahead. "Just how dangerous is this place? I have never heard of it. However, if you are in need of an able body, I will be there to offer my services in any way." "To speak plainly,” Sicaries chimed in. “You will face old enemies and new foes unthought-of. The Amani have colonized it, however the little information we have state that they are unlike any trolls we have interacted with ever. Their physical forms have shifted. There are swamps up to the waist and chest, a large pocket of deadly and infectious water in the heart of the island itself, and things yet we still don't know. You are literally facing the possibility of never returning. I'm talking Pandaira-styled uncertainty as to what will occur on the island. I say this knowing full well some may refuse. Are you the lot that will be amongst them?" "The Light has seen me through many trials, and it will see us through this." Yrial said with certainty. Soluis blinked, once more leaning back to digest all of the details. "Well, that certainly dampers the mood of discovery. If the Reliquary requires triple, can we at least ask double, then? This is not asking much.” He looked to the Paladin, stopping for some time. Smoothing out her dress, Azuriann smiled slightly when the Magistry was mentioned. "I am glad the Magistry still holds weight in all things, I was worried for a while if I am being honest. If you could, please let me know what is needed, I suppose lists would be best, and what specialists you will need for this excursion. Soluis is correct, the order will need to be compensated if life and limb are on the line. They have families as well. However, I do look forward to this new adventure more than you can imagine, we know the dangers, and we will face them head on." "Your salaries will be open for negotiation at the enlistment stage. We are hiring a staff, after all. Each individual contract is payable to the person it is registered to, or their estate should something happen." Sicaries gave pause once Azuriann spoke. "I want you to be plain with those in your ranks. This is an invitation of death if ever there were one, and to volunteer may very well mean signing your own death warrant. Those who go may return and never be the same. We are prepared to take all of that into account in compensations here." "Is there any option of scouting by air? To get us started in the least? I don't want to run to this new 'world' as you could call it blind." Soluis seemed rather annoyed as he watched Yrial flipping through his book. Nonchalantly Yrial flipped a page open to his devotional book, reading out loud, "If the road is easy, the destination is worthless." Humming softly Azuriann looked to her guards. "I will be very clear on all accounts, Lord Sicaries, and perhaps you and Lady De’Vindico would like to address the order yourself on these things?” Soluis looked at her in surprise. "Does this mean you are accepting this as is?" "We will be doing scouting upon our landing. We have taken as close of a scrying as we can without encountering troll resistance or being caught too close to the Island to return safely. -- Yes, I would. I will also be supplying the map we fabricated off the area. It is the best thing we have to work with." Sicarius glances to Ava, uncertain of where this would go. After all, this was asking people to volunteer for suicide for all they knew. Avariella glanced at her husband knowingly. "At the moment any in-depth aerial scouting is difficult not only because of the inhabitants, but the distance. The island is over a hundred miles from land, enough to put a strain on most methods of transportation ideal for covert operation. We will have a general idea of things, but not as precise as anything you'd find for the mainland. My husband does not lie about the danger, but I would emphasize the fact that we are going somewhere that has been utterly untouched by the mainstream of Azeroth for years. Even before all contact was lost with the region, it was hardly a hub of information. Your group would be the first to do any in depth exploration in thousands of years, I think that such a thing might just be worth it, completely aside from whatever treasures might be uncovered." "This is simply a very large risk we are asking, with what seems little to no information. Uldum was -at the least- explored land. This is a great threat to put on all of us, and... What if the Legion has made landfall there?" He took a moment to think. "It isn't out of the question, but isn't probable I know. " Soluis was not so sure of this mission, perhaps he was thinking of the pygmies on his last venture, it did not bode so well. "If the threat is too great, we will continue to find those too brave or foolhardy to care. But I think that the potential for growth here is amazing, and I want to share it with those most worthy. The question is-- are you more worthy than the dangers this land possesses? We have been to Draenor from a different timeline, after all." Sicaries held an intense stare at Soluis, perhaps sizing up the simple elf. Pinching the bridge of his nose at -that- mention Soluis answered. "Yes, and I would like to forget that endeavor. The thought of it in the slightest gives me a massive headache." "When have you ever known me to pass up something of this magnitude, Soluis? Of course we are considering accepting. However, precautions need to be made, our forces are well trained, but they need proper knowledge and warning to what lies ahead. I would like to arm our people with as much knowledge as well as specific skills that will be required. They need to be ready for anything. I would also like to sit and speak more with you on this venture to get a better understanding. Get all the loose ends tied up, and go into more detail on specific matters, such as the qualifications needed so I can pick the right crew. We will need to make sure we are at our absolute best. I don’t intend on losing anyone, but it is a strong possibility.” Sicaries attention was now on the doctor as she spoke. "Well, I will have our scribes arrange all of the information, as scattered as it is. I will have it printed, along with the map, so they people have a sort of handbook. But there is no guarantee of accuracy or completion, there are too many uncovered variables. I do not wish to deceive and make it appear a sure or easy thing. For all we are aware, we may not do much better than landfall before needing to come back. But I have faith that we can press in, find the town of Harvyst, and acquire the artifact wherever it is nearby. We -are- aware of a local elven population known as the Ashborn." Lady De’vindico waited for her husband to finish his thoughts then added her own. "If it sets you anymore at ease, we are not venturing into a complete wasteland either to my knowledge. Before the Scourge sacked Quel'Thalas the island was part of the kingdom, a bit of a backwater sparsely populated and far from well charted, but semi-civilized. I can't say for certain what type of welcome we will receive from our long lost kin if they yet live, but there is a chance we aren't going into purely hostile terrain either." "Well stated, darling." Sicaries turned back to the three awaiting further questions. "No, you've never been one to pass up such travels, Azuriann, and you've often been one wishing to explore no matter what it required of you." Soluis looked back to the couple. "Of course, but since -certain- events in my career, I like to be precisely sure what I am agreeing to before I ask others to step into the flames with me. If this part of the land has indeed left since those events then they will be surprised.. If we bring races of the Horde other than our own, most will likely believe the now Sin'dorei are members of the Alliance... If that is to matter." Azuriann worried her bottom lip as Lady De’ Vindico spoke. "It's good that there is at least some civility, but how much remains to be seen. We know of the dangers, and I will also speak to the rest of our order and inform them of what is required." "You are correct. But, we have confirmed that they do not have access to the politics of the world. At least, that is what the Kal’dorei who were slaughtered and adrift on their boat off the coast had written. The people of Harvyst, at least, were outwardly welcome of the newcomers until there was an incident regarding something they called 'The Witch'. Then, there is a brief recording of captivity before the journal ends. " Sicaries tone changed when he mentioned the Witch, warning and danger lay ahead, that was certain. Soluis gave him a rather dry look. "I love good endings.." He sighed sarcastically. "And we will likely come across some of this legend you think? I just wish we had the first idea to prepare for this journey." "The Witch? That does not sound so promising in truth. " Azuriann raised her brow at that as she tapped on the tome. "What information can I gather from what you have given me here?" "Perhaps some extra training in swampy conditions would be good for the guards?" Yrial spoke directly to Soluis. “Waist high waters make for difficult fighting to the unaccustomed." Looking back to Yrial, Soluis nodded. "I believe that would be wise, the Swamp of Sorrows is lovely this time of year.. Chills you to the bone and such." "I would recommend a high intensity training session and a preparation of broad and versatile techniques and gearing. Otherwise, we may find ourselves unprepared. I hate not being prepared. Either way, I would have people educated on different sorts of serpents and reptiles, as I'm sure there are plenty to be found. " Sicaries looked to his wife as she began to speak. "We won't be landing entirely alone either, we'd be taking the flagship of my fleet for the journey. The Medusae holds a crew two hundred strong, so at least for the landing we will be well accompanied and guarded. There will be opportunity for us to gauge risk, we aren't a handful of ill-prepared Kaldorei, fumbling our way about in the sea until we run aground. This mission will be carefully planned, down to the last detail. I despise leaving things too entirely to chance, you know?" Soluis tipped his head in appreciation. "That, honestly, is very reassuring. With more numbers it seems doable, with only our guards.. I am not so sure." Azuriann could hardly contain her excitement, but she would not show it. She was well aware of the danger, but it was more exploring, and a new discovery is was something that she was most passionate about. " I understand my lady, as I like things well thought out and planned to the last detail. I would like to gather my officers to go over what is to be done. The sooner the better, we need our magic users focused as well, it sounds like they will have big jobs ahead, but first our guards must be conditioned." "The De'Vindician influence is large enough that we control a small army. We will be taking a contingent with us of soldiers from our collective, and the General Iskandarian Dawnvalor-- a close friend and advisor-- lends his own guards too. We will have about fifty soldiers after making landfall and progressing. " Sicaries simply gave an account going over his own numbers to make certain. Seeming a little more at ease with these numbers mentioned, Soluis felt there was still one pressing issue. "Let us just hope they do not think us invaders.. Seeking war or something of the like. I agree with Lady Azuriann, we have much to do in the days to come." "We will approach this democratically. After making landfall, we can decide whether or not to approach Catheldeen, or to head for the forests to make camp. I do not wish us to rush headlong, of course." Azuriann nodded in agreement to what Sicaries spoke . "Of course, I think I will feel more at ease once all the details have been laid out." Sicaries and his wife had given great detail, but more would be needed. " Then we shall leave you all to your discussions and thoughts, and we will follow through in a few day's time. We will wait to pass the offer on, and consider the contract accepted until further notice." Avariella nodded solemnly. "We do look forward to your response, and we thank you for your consideration of the matter." Soluis remained silent during this part, this was Azuriann's decision. Obviously, he was thinking about -what- this would require of the Order, and of himself. "Of course my friends, I will get back to you as soon as I get word from the others. Thank you for bringing this to us and having faith in our order to carry such an undertaking. " Azuriann smiled softly as they made their exit. " Divine guide and shadows keep dear ones." "I'll have the crew information files prepared for those who volunteer, and the shares of this organization will be negotiated fairly. Good eve, Doctor. Gentlemen." Sicaries nodded to the soldiers, giving the room a salute before waiting for his wife to make her goodbyes. Soluis nodded back. "Good eve to you as well. Thank you for bringing this to us." Avariella inclined her head ever so slightly. "Lady Azuriann, gentlemen. I bid you all a good evening, and anticipate your reply. Be safe in your travels home."
