Hyuse and His Sweet Tooth: The Birth of a Taiyaki Fan

Characters: Hyuse x Taiyaki haha Tamakoma members (Hyuse | Youtarou | Konami) Summary: Hyuse, the proud Aftokrator warrior, getting so comfortable with Tamakoma's food that he starts gaining a little weight. Since he got hooked on taiyaki, here’s a cute story about how it became his favorite.

Note: Ah, yes, to grab Hyuse by the stomach. Hyuse trying to rationalize his new love for Japanese food while the rest of the Tamakoma team can't stop teasing him is hilarious.

When Hyuse first arrived at Tamakoma as a P.O.W., everything in the meeden world fascinated him — but he’d never admit it. From the gadgets to the fashion, everything was different from Aftokrator. However, one thing he absolutely couldn't figure out was the strange obsession everyone had with food. He never understood why meedens cared so much about eating things that didn’t even boost trion levels.

One day, Youtarou and Konami dragged Hyuse along with them to a local festival. Despite his aloof attitude, Youtarou was determined to get Hyuse to try some festival food. "You have to try it! It’s super fun!" Youtarou chirped, waving a piece of taiyaki under Hyuse’s nose.

"Fun? It’s food," Hyuse deadpanned, crossing his arms.

Konami, already munching on her own taiyaki, grinned. "C’mon, Hyuse! You’ve gotta lighten up! Besides, it's good. Try one!"

Hyuse hesitated for a moment. His pride wouldn’t let him admit he was curious, but he couldn't completely ignore the delicious smell. Finally, with an air of reluctant superiority, he took the taiyaki from Youtarou. “This better not be a waste of time,” he muttered, taking a bite.

The warm, sweet red bean paste hit him immediately. His eyes widened ever so slightly. The crispy, golden-brown exterior contrasted with the smooth sweetness inside. He wasn’t prepared for the delightful taste explosion in his mouth. For the first time since arriving in the human world, Hyuse was completely caught off guard.

"...Well?" Konami asked, eyes sparkling with amusement.

"...It’s acceptable," Hyuse said, trying to play it cool as he took another bite. But the way he devoured the rest of it told a different story.

From that day on, Hyuse found himself subtly seeking out taiyaki at every opportunity, much to the amusement of the rest of Tamakoma. Youtarou always teased him, offering him taiyaki whenever they had an outing, and Hyuse never refused. Even Jin caught on, slyly leaving taiyaki on the counter whenever Hyuse was around.

Little by little, it became a running joke in Tamakoma. Whenever Hyuse was seen eating taiyaki, someone would inevitably say, "There goes Hyuse, adding one more kilo to his weight!"

Despite the teasing, Hyuse secretly enjoyed it. Though he'd never admit it out loud, he found the simplicity of taiyaki to be one of the human world’s best-kept secrets — and something that, for once, wasn’t a battle or a struggle. Just a simple pleasure.

Now whenever anyone sees Hyuse at a festival or near a food stand, he’s probably either holding a taiyaki or looking for one!

Housano's LIVE-A-HALF-ASSED Summaries presents: Pubraseer and the Inifinite Radness Part 6: In Which Youtaro is the MVP

We are now wrapping up the battle that ended part 5, with Gaisei and Youtaro tag teaming one group and Pubra-chan finishing off the remaining lot. Pubraseer thanks us for reminding him of his original goals and, stroaking the jewels on his hilt, said it feels like his friends are fighting alongside him and vows to use his newfound power to honor those who called him Captain and to shown how much he has grown as a Hero and Leader.

Denebora catches up with us and said he clared the enemies by the entrance, but noticed not only were they heading to the light source, but something was off. Youtaro mentioned they felt not like real kaibutsu and we confirm that all the kaibutsu we fought so far were offshoots of the main body. Shockinlgy when the light dissipates and the kaibutsu disappear, several unconscious people appear. We get a communication from Monomasa and team and they agree to focus their efforts on protecting the public while .

Denebora agrees to stay behind and protect the unconscious operators and Pubraseer suggest Orbiter stay behind as well while the rest of us go after the main body. Orbiter gets upset and says that astronauts do not abandon their captain, that he has to go with us. He confesses that there is nobody inside the suit, . He doesn't remember anything before coming to the moon, not even his real name. He was found by Andrew and everyone lied to him about being human, such as doctors saying they were giving him anesthesia even though they were shutting off his power (even if he is an AI program, I feel incredibly bad he is going through this existential crisis). Pubraseer hugs Orbiter to offer comfort like the perfect cinnamon roll he is and Denebora apologizes for forcing him to bring up such personal matters. Orbiter says it's okay. The only thing he remembers was teh line "I want you to travel the vast universe on my behalf" and that is why he wants to desperately be an astronaut. Pubra said Orbiter reminds him of his younger self and comrades, who tragically perished and agrees to take Orbiter with him as long as he promises him not to push himself to hard.

Elsewhere, Subaru and Hydoor are about to be overwhelmed by the amount of Kaibutsu, only to be saved by Ryekie and the gange along with Exio's merry crew. Huckle said the priority now is to rescue and protect citizens.

Back to our main party, we are having difficulties accessing the control room. Luckily Youtaro had the foresight about this and snagged one of the employees' cards to gain access. He said it was a deseperate situations and hands us the card as a sign of good faith. In side the control room we document the errors and symbols to Crowne. Youtaro also suggests taking a photo of the history logs to Crowne as well (he's kind of moving into my Ride or Die category in this episode). We also figured the main body is going towards the ether core for energy which will be a catastrophic situation for the entire colony. This time Gaisei finally gets to break down the door and we get ready to engage for battle.

🎃Halloween ad in Servamp🎃

We all know that Halloween is near, so I'm planning on doing a lot of Halloween drawings for servamp, since it ends this year 🥲. But since I'm really bad at finishing on time, I thought I could get this one ahead of me so I can finish it on time.

I have already advanced a couple of characters but I feel that it is possible to do more, so I will draw all the possible characters and the ones with the most votes here will be prioritized.

(Freya and Mahiru are advancing so they will be out of the votes.)

If you select a character, I will accept recommendations for their costume since I don't have an idea for everyone. And even if I don't manage to paint most of it, at least I'll leave it in a nice sketch to complete the challenge. ❤️

Bomberman Showdown at Tamakoma Dorm

Characters: Tamakoma members (Hyuse | Youtarou | Konami | Kyosuke) Summary: Here’s a fun scene featuring Hyuse, Youtaro, Konami, and Kyosuke Karasuma playing Bomberman at the Tamakoma dorm.

Note: Tamakoma kids, man. Adorable as heck. And there's Hyuse, the tsundere. Also this is based on Vol. 20 extras about Hyuse!

The common area of the Tamakoma dorm was buzzing with excitement as Youtaro set up the game console. Hyuse, still adjusting to life as a P.O.W. in the dorm, looked both intrigued and slightly overwhelmed by the boisterous energy surrounding him. He sat on the edge of the couch, slightly apart from the group. His sharp gaze flickered between the screen and the others, trying to understand the fervor behind this “Bomberman” game.

“Come on, Hyuse! Join us!” Youtaro shouted, bouncing on his toes. His enthusiasm was infectious, and Hyuse felt an unfamiliar tug of curiosity.

“Yeah, Hyuse! It’s simple! Just blow things up!” Konami added, her excitement bubbling over. “You’ll have fun being beaten by me, I promise!”

With a reluctant sigh, Hyuse grabbed the controller, still unsure about this whole thing. “Isn’t the objective to… bomb each other?” He raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.

“Exactly.” Kyosuke grinned softly. “Just don’t get blown up yourself.”

Konami, sitting cross-legged on the floor and munching on snacks, piped up, “Just don’t forget to share the snacks after you lose, Youtaro!”

As the game booted up, the room filled with excited chatter. The colorful characters of Bomberman danced on the screen, and the countdown began.

“Three… two… one… go!” Youtaro shouted, as they all grabbed their controllers.

As the game started, the four players jumped into action. Youtaro’s character zoomed around, placing bombs with reckless abandon. Hyuse watched intently, trying to keep up.

The game was a chaotic blend of explosions, strategy, and laughter. Hyuse quickly showcased his skills, deftly maneuvering around obstacles and planting bombs with precision.

“Youtaro, no! You’re gonna blow yourself up!” Hyuse warned, but it was too late. The screen flashed, and Youtaro’s character was sent flying.

“Whaaaat?!” Youtaro exclaimed, flailing his arms dramatically. “How did that happen?!”

Hyuse couldn’t suppress a smirk. “You should’ve listened,” he teased, surprisingly enjoying the banter.

Meanwhile, Konami expertly dodged the explosions while placing bombs of her own, creating a perfect trap. “Gotcha, Torimaru!” she declared, grinning as her bomb caught him off guard.

“Hmm. You’re too good at this.” Kyosuke replied, smiling as he respawned. “Alright, round two!”

As the game continued, Hyuse gradually got the hang of it, even managing to eliminate Youtaro with a well-placed bomb.

“Hyuse, you’re a natural!” Youtaro cheered, clapping his hands.

“Looks like we have a challenger.” Kyosuke remarked, a playful glint in his eye.

Hyuse felt a strange warmth in his chest at their encouragement, a sensation he wasn't used to. “I’m just following your terrible strategies,” he replied coolly, trying to maintain his aloof demeanor but failing to hide the slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Konami laughed, “Well, it’s working! Let’s see if you can win this round!”

In the midst of chaos, Youtaro suddenly declared, “I bet Hyuse will be the last one standing!”

“Don’t jinx me!” Hyuse protested, though he couldn’t help but feel a hint of determination to prove them right.

With each round, the bonds between them grew stronger, laughter filling the air, and for a brief moment, Hyuse felt like he truly belonged.

“Look at that! He really is a natural,” Karasuma chuckled, watching as Hyuse outsmarted Youtaro, who was desperately trying to dodge explosions.

“I’m not giving up!” Youtaro exclaimed, frantically pressing buttons. “I’ll come back!”

Meanwhile, Konami, who had been quietly observing, suddenly shouted, “Surprise!” and dropped a bomb right next to Hyuse, catching him off guard.

“What?!” Hyuse exclaimed, barely managing to escape the blast. “You’re ruthless!”

Karasuma chuckled with his straight face, leaning forward, “That’s how you play Bomberman. You’ve got to keep your friends close and your bombs closer.”

“Friends?” Hyuse echoed, a hint of confusion on his face. “Is that how this works?”

“Of course!” Youtaro chimed in, giggling as he respawned. “It’s all about having fun! Even if you blow each other up!”

As the game progressed, alliances shifted and rivalries formed. Hyuse found himself surprisingly enjoying the chaotic fun, laughing as he dodged yet another one of Konami’s surprise bombs.

“Nice try, but you’ll have to do better than that!” he taunted, planting a bomb right next to her.

“Watch out!” Konami yelled, scrambling to avoid the blast.

Just then, Karasuma, feeling mischievous, decided to join the fray. “You’re all too focused on each other. Here comes the real competition.”

He picked up a second controller and jumped into the game, immediately causing chaos as he bombarded everyone with surprise attacks.

“Torimaru, no!” Youtaro cried out, a mix of laughter and frustration.

The room erupted with laughter and playful shouts as the friendly competition continued. Hyuse, caught up in the excitement, found himself more relaxed than he had felt since arriving at the dorm. The blend of friendly rivalry and the infectious laughter made it feel like he truly belonged.

As they launched into another match, the laughter and camaraderie filled the room. Hyuse, once a stranger to this kind of connection, found himself relaxing in the atmosphere, reveling in the silliness and the shared moments.

“Alright, alright!” Karasuma announced after a particularly explosive round. “Let’s take a break. How about some tonkatsu to celebrate the destruction we’ve caused?”

Everyone cheered, and even Hyuse couldn’t suppress a grin. “I’ll accept that deal,” he said, feeling a warmth spread in his chest. Maybe life at Tamakoma wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Housano's LIVE A HALF ASSED Summaries Presents: Pubraseer and the Infinite Radness Part 4: He's got a nice Deneborass

At this point if you don't know there's spoilers in this and are upset

This event starts off with Hydoor and Subaru discussing how they can't seem to get in contact with Pubraseer and notice a piece of junk in trees (it's Orbiter's ship). They decide to carry it with them

Meanwhile Denebora is desperately searching for Rho and stumbles across Youtaro and Gaisei who asks how he knows Rho. Gaisei notices the combat prowess of Denebora and if itching for a fight. Denebora, thinking they are examiners begs them to transform him because he thinks this is part of the exam. The announcer says due to the terrorism and recent kaibutsu sightings, the exam is suspended which completely horrifies and upset Denebora (I don't blame him)

Speaking of the proverbial devil, we return to our MC, Pubra-chan and Orbiter. They are all okay and Pubra will make a report of the kaibutsu incident to HQ. Orbiter says he hopes that he can learrn more aout being an astronaut from Pubraseer and wants to hear more of his stories. Pubraseer will gladly tell him but mentions that we first need to resolve everything going on. Pubraseer also says how Orbiter reminds him of his younger self and friends which causes our terminal to glow red, rather than blue. Orbiter then gets a notification that Denebora found his part and was given coordinates.

We merrily make our way to the back alley only to pounced by Denebora and Gaisei who are both eager to see us. We return Denebora exam ticket and he decides to sit and wait until the exam resumes much to Gaisei's chagrin. He demands that we fight them and Pubra relents that he will fight Gaisei, not as an examiner but as a hero. Hearing the word examiner makes Denebora almost choke on his rations and Pubra said he will report his circumstances to HQ later. Denebora is immediately angry with Gaisei for interrupting the examination and requests that we transform him along with everyone. We FINALLY get to see Denebora transform and-

*Ahem* Just as we are about to fight, our MC's Kaibutsu senses start tingling and tell everyone to be on alert. Denebora and Gaisei charge in saying

Denebora: Do

Gaisei: Not

Both: INTERRUPT OUR BATTLE

Gaisei slashes the last kaibutsu and makes a huge hole in the wall. Pubra said he would be upset or concerned if this was a real town, but would prefer to keep the damage to a minimum. After the battle Gaisei asks if they can get back to the fight but we say one got away and if heading to the Pillar of light. Youtaro interrupts and says that they will leave which Deneboard is all on board with. Gaisei is refusing and ready to go until the announcement comes on and says all examinees must evacuate to a safe place and all heroes and available operators must repond.

We then get a response from Crowne and the situations is much more dire (pretends to be shocked) than initially thought. She has been trying to contact the control room but to no avail. The other employees memories are hazy and they have no idea who's in charge of the control room which suggest that the main person in charge was attacked by a kaibutsu. This would suggest that it is not the terminal but rather the control room that is causing the warp issues. In addition, Huckle says that the defense barrier is up and no one is able to leave, so it's up to us (and Team Exio) to save the day. We then inquire how Orbiter got in since he isn't a test taker and he said that he hopped over the barrier on his spaceship. When we are about to ask Gaisei and Youtaro they state that they came in with everyone else but were registered under false pretenses. So our goal now is to a) rebuild Orbiter's ship b) go to the pillar to see if we can deal with the kaibutsu. We consider teaming up with Gaisei and Youtaro, and Denebora said he has no objections if they leave after this is all over. He kind of understands our little Edgelord's obsession with strength as strength is above everything else on his home planet, similar to his brother whom he's searching for.

Soon the beeping starts again and this time everyone holds hands and we are ported off to parts unknown.
