THE CAT RETURNS - STUDIO GHIBLI
When a truck is about to run over a cat, high school girl Haru (Chizuru Ikewaki) saves it and finds that the cat is actually a prince by the name of Lune. Lune’s father, the Cat King, extends an offer of marriage to her as a token of appreciation. After being taken to the Cat Kingdom, Haru begins to take on feline characteristics. When she is stopped from leaving, two sculptures who have been miraculously brought to life, Toto and the Baron (Yoshihiko Hakamada), help her escape.
This movie is really in tune with what my project is sort of about. The cats in this film act VERY human and often walk on two legs ( see picture above) they even attend a Ball which has similar to one of the artists that i will speak about his name is ...
Louis Wain-
Louis William Wain was an English artist best known for his drawings of anthropomorphised cats and kittens. A lot of his paintings center around the idea of cats acting or being almost human. this is what i really like about his art and what i want to come across in my project. Like "how did that cat end up in that?" or "even cats can be gentlemen". Another thing that i adore about his art is how FULL OF LIFE AND COLOURFUL IT IS. Its my favorite thing in any piece of art
modern arry and arriet gouache
I also really love this mirror painting idea and definitely want to do something similar to this! :>>
Into his later years he began to create these abstract looking cats which i find also very inspiring. I almost interpret them as movement of cats too. They kind of remind me of the images id see inside a kaleidoscope.. which to me is like movement.
Pieces like this were created after Wain was eventually admitted to hospital for schizophrenia. He continued to produce many drawings of gleeful and often outlandish cats, and his body of work demonstrated the therapeutic and restorative effect that closeness with animals can have on a person’s mental health too.

The Cat Returns (2002)
My rating: 8/10
Who'd've thought that a movie about a young girl being kidnapped into a fae realm, transformed against her will and forced into marriage could be so pleasant and wholesome? Ah, Ghibli.
Also, the Baron is stone cold furry bait, and we all know it.

Extremely Inappropriate / Futekisetsu ni mo Hodo ga Aru! (Ep 6)
Old people like to talk about the past because they no longer have a future to look forward to and wish they could go back to the past.
Young people hate talking about the past because they do not have any memorable moments to remember yet and look into the future.
