After Saeran and V were lost in the explosion, they were discovered several days later with burns, and V with a massive head injury. He had completely lost his sight; the RFA members were restless. He was in a coma for a month, and in that time, Saeran healed and came around to the members; he sought redemption. Yoosung offered to house him because of the tension with the others, and Jumin spent close to all of his time at the hospital, where his childhood friend was resting peacefully.

hyojoo sat on set, her eyes scanning through her script as she waited for the end of the lunch break. her heart pounded in her chest, her hands were sweaty as she turned the pages, running each bright pink highlighted line one last time in her head. her first time carrying a show, her first time so much pressure on her as an actress. for all the years she had put into her acting career, trying desperately to be seen not just as an idol-actor, but as a serious actress who just happened to also be in a girl group, this was her very first lead role on a network drama.

“judy-ssi?” the assistant director’s voice coming from across set startled her. hyojoo turned and smiled in response - she had been trying to use her birth name for her acting career, but time and time again people slipped up. maybe ahn hyojoo would never stick, and she’d be judy for life. “are you ready to begin?”

“yes,” she said, tucking her script under her chair and standing up. she tried to subtly wipe her clammy hands on her jeans, clearing her throat as she did so. she felt as if everyone on set had now turned to watch her. but why did that make her so nervous? she had performed on stage for nearly ten years now, in front of cameras and crowds of thousands - why did her throat feel so dry that she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to croak out her first line?

hyojoo came to her mark next to her scene partner, offering a polite bow and a smile. he said something to her, the director started counting down; she could barely hear above her heartbeat thudding in her ears. she nodded, took a deep breath, and when “action!” cut through the noise, she began.

                                                    PRESENT

when it became evident that everything at kbc would be at a standstill for a while, hyojoo packed up her bags and left. eclissi had been so busy since debut, and despite the company giving them breaks here and there, she rarely got a chance to go home and see her family in jeju. this was her chance to be at home and recharge until things got sorted.

it was a relief to be home. she had missed the sea breeze, the fresh tangerines, the energy of a full house with her parents and siblings bustling around as opposed to her own empty apartment.

but now it had been two years since she left seoul. two years with no work, no public appearances, only rarely getting updates regarding the investigation. for the first couple of months hyojoo had been anticipating news that she was to return to seoul and things would start again as normal. that news finally came, but only now, two years after her life had been put on pause.

it was a week before she had to be back in seoul. hyojoo sat on her family home’s porch, scrolling on her phone. she kept searching kbc, eclissi, and her own name, trying to get a sense of what the public was feeling following the news of bz culture’s acquisition. most people had seemed to pity the artists at first, but by now there was barely any mention of them besides occasional comments from their own fan accounts, some conspiracy theorists claiming they had all been in the cult too, and a few people musing over how the groups will compete against those who debuted and made a mark in their absence. kbc had almost become a punchline; any respect anyone might have still had for the company was truly and totally gone.

hyojoo was itching to work. eclissi was one thing - they had had so much success already, and hyojoo didn’t want to keep spreading herself thin between the group and acting as she had for years. but her acting career had just finally gotten going. she had her very first lead role in a drama only months before everything came crashing down. she had been in talks for another lead role when the offer was rescinded amid kbc’s scandal. she knew how this industry worked. when you’re gone, newer and fresher faces take your place. a different actress took the role she had been offered before. now that she was coming back, would the public accept her? will she forever be suspected of being part of the cult? for all her hard work, the years she’d put in building a solid reputation and improving her craft, to be destroyed and forgotten like this - just the idea of it crushed her.

the leaves in the tree above her rustled in the breeze. hyojoo thought for a moment of posting a photo on her instagram, showing the world that she was alive and doing well. she decided against it, turned off her phone, and went into the house.

Forsaken Farewell

This was for the best.

Saeran closed the door as quietly as he could, pulling back old familiar movements from the past to refrain from making noise capable of waking anyone up. When the door latched, he heard his heart pound in his chest as he counted the seconds that ticked by. Once he knew he hadn't woken Yoosung up, he took one stumbling step back, then a stronger one, and finally turned and hurried down the stairs.

Nothing had happened.

Today, this week, the past month- nothing had happened between them. Yoosung was the delightfully goofy ray of sunshine he had always been. Saeran woke up to breakfast in bed more than once, along with soft kisses and Yoosung’s attempts at romantic dinners. They watched movies, held hands, even discussed plans for when they would move in together. Yoosung was doing better in school, becoming more mature, and all Saeran could think about was when Yoosung would realize that Saeran didn't deserve him.

All these moments led to Saeran watching, uncomfortably waiting for whenever that moment would strike. When Yoosung finally sat him down, unable to look directly at him, and announced that they wouldn’t be moving in together. That he had found some nice girl in class that made him realize that Saeran was nothing more than a phase.

A quick, fun and rough way to pass the time.

Saeran couldn’t handle waiting any longer for the other shoe to drop.

So that's what led him to tonight- Gathering what little he had left at Yoosung's small room and leaving without any goodbyes. He couldn't bring himself to part with him in any other way, to watch Yoosung tear up and try to argue over his decision. Obviously, Yoosung wouldn't agree, but he was never quick to catch on about what he truly needed. No matter how much Saeran tried spelling it out for him.

Cold shoulders, days without seeing each other, ignoring calls- He tried the small things to get

Yoosung disinterested in him, but all it had led to were tight hugs and whispers of never separating. Promises made that were being broken tonight as Saeran walked out of Yoosung’s life for good.

It wasn’t as if it didn’t hurt- Fuck, Saeran would give anything to have a simple life with him, but he knew better. He had been through the fleeting emotions of a relationship before- tossed aside because he wasn’t good enough, wasn’t strong enough to be the backbone in anything. As much as running away stung, Saeran knew it wouldn’t compare to having his heart ripped out again.

Pulling the strap of his bag more securely on his shoulder, Saeran walked down the sidewalk and watched as the sun slowly began to rise, painting the sky in a lighter array of colors. There was once a night where, after an ungodly long episode Saeran had went through, the two of them watched the sunrise together. Yoosung had let Saeran sit in his lap as he held him, gently rubbing his back to help soothe away the lingering tremors in Saeran’s body. He had tiredly, but warmly, muttered a small assurance of always staying by Saeran’s side, no matter how bad his mental health was. The memory of that morning sat with him for months, helped calm him through worries of being left behind.

Now as he remembered it, he was thankful he never swore the same to Yoosung.

Lol ok so the first time I played mm, I chose the answers I wanted, not realizing it was a route system. I ended getting one where Yoosung calls everyone out on the world being fake, or robots, I don't remember it was like 4 months ago lol. Then Saeran cones over and takes him somewhere, so I started shipping Yooran like two days later after I saw it, but got super confused because of the whole robot thing

Oooh I hate that ending :( the main reason I don’t really ship Yooran is because of that ending, actually :o I hate how the ship sprouted mainly from that BE, so I’m super iffy about it :/ thought I have read and seen fanart of Yooran when its GE and SE Saeran, but I can’t ship him with Unknown😅 

I couldnt get myself to get that BE, I just saw walkthroughs so idk much about it other than Yoosung gets kidnapped and imprisoned @ Mint Eye as Saeran’s torture toy :(

Icon Change + Other Updates

I know it’s not a huge thing, but, since Pride Month is over, I have decided to change my icon from the Pansexual Pride Seven to a CG of my current MM bias, Ray/Saeran. <3

Just wanted to give a heads up so people aren’t too terribly confused by it!

I also want to apologize for not having any new fics up recently. The last few weeks have been hell on my brain and so I haven’t gotten nearly as much writing done as I had hoped. However, I do still have plans to get some things finished and posted soon!

I’ll put some details of what I’m currently working on under the read more so as to not make this post too long on people’s dashboards. I know I have a tendency to ramble sometimes!

‘Sheer Desperation’ - This is a NSFW Ray fic! Which should come as no surprise after my icon change! This one is the one I’m working on most heavily right now as it is a shorter one-shot idea and should be posted in the next week or so (or even in the next few days depending on how quickly I get it done)! There is also plans for a longer sequel one-shot to this, so, look forward to that eventually as well. :3c

‘Nicotine’ - This is my multi-chapter Zen fic which will have.. a lot of angst. But, also a decent amount of smut! I’m steadily working on the first chapter right now and I’m really hoping to release it sometime this month if I can! We’ll see how that goes, though. It might get pushed back so I can work on Saeyoung week and Yoosung week prompts, since both of those are coming up soon.

‘The Games We Play’ - A NSFW Yoosung one-shot that has been close to completion for far too long!! I want to get this out sometime this month as well if I can since I really think people will enjoy it!

‘Sunshine’ and ‘Moonbeams’ - These two fics go hand in hand and were originally intended to be finished for the Choi Twins’ Birthday! But, I got too stressed about finishing them on time and managed to finish neither. Both are NSFW. One is Saeyoung x MC, the other is YooRan. Even if it’s super belated, they are both going to get done... eventually. I don’t have a timeframe in mind yet for these two unfortunately.

I also have two currently unnamed YooRan fics which were originally planned to be done for YooRan week and I plan on finishing both of those as soon as I can as well!

I have other fics I’m working on as well, but, the ones I’ve mentioned here are my main priorities at the moment and I hope everyone looks forward to them as much as I do!
