In May of 2023, I drew experiments 501, 502, and 509 from Lilo and Stitch on their days! The top hosts Sprout, a plant dragon like experiment that can become an uncontrollable jungle unless contained, and Yin and Yang, water and lava spewing experiments who make islands together. They're drawn in kimonos due to their name heritage.

This is a good post, but you missed a few female experiments
Yin
Tumblr media
Mary
Tumblr media
Mrs. Sickly
Tumblr media
Millie
Tumblr media
Tippy
Tumblr media
Sproing
Tumblr media
Who can also unfurl her body like this:
Tumblr media
Dark End (well, sorta, they’re from the anime and were female in the original Japanese version but were changed to male for all the foreign dubs, including English)
Tumblr media
What do you think of these guys? Though for Mrs. Sickly I think it’s worth taking into consideration that she’s part of a pair with Mr. Stenchy who looks like this:
Tumblr media
If Disney really had to make the “girl” experiment a pink version of Stitch we could have at least had this:
Tumblr media
But NOOOOO
Tumblr media
She has to have eyelashes and painted nails and boobs and fur in a pattern specifically made to look like a low necked shirt. And she has to turn the other experiments evil while walking around sexily.
And as I’m watching through the show all of the other experiments I’ve seen so far are noticeably called by masculine pronouns or not gendered at all. So. I’m just saying. There’s a reason I’m a little salty.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s a great show! But this particular thing and the fact that Angel is the only experiment outside of Stitch who is marketed by Disney…. :/
Edit: I have been reminded that there are two other “girl” experiments. First one Bonnie:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we’ve still got the eyelashes, tiny waist, and hint-of-boob thing going on.
And then there’s Clip:
Tumblr media
Clip I will give a pass to. Not a huge fan of the fact that “she has to have a pink bow so the audience will know that she’s a girl and also she ends up being a hairstylist because gender norms” part. But she is an amorphous blob of pure chaos so I will absolutely respect that.
Other experiments I have found thanks to googling from various Lilo and Stitch media:
Tumblr media
Gigi: She’s… Well, she looks like a dog. No eyelashes here and only a bow because Myrtle put it on her so I’m letting it pass.
Tumblr media
Phoon: Still got that eyelashes thing going on but okay.
Tumblr media
Welco. I just… Dear god. WHY???? (I am so uncomfortable right now did they steal fetish art from Deviantart??)
Tumblr media
Witch: she looks like she’d make an amazing goth gf, still very cisnormative coded but okay.
Tumblr media
Carmen: Angel but buff. (Although I appreciate the fact that they let her be buff so points for that.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Belle: y’know what? Aside from the eyelashes I really like this design, she looks like any of the other experiments and she’s just really cute so I respect that! :)
Tumblr media
Tickle Tummy: THE FUCK IS THIS PINK ELDRITCH HORROR????
So yeah, this is what Disney have given us to work with. Most of it not great, a few passable ones. But I still stand by the fact that the only one who’s marketed and considered a romantic interest for Stitch is Angel which is still not the best thing ever :/

if nikita and artyom had representative colors, what would they be?
Well, this is just my opinion and perception! I love polar opposites who at the same time have something in common and they're important to each other. I still remember one episode of Lilo & Stitch, where everyone thought that those water (Yin) and lava (Yang) genetic experiments would destroy the Earth if they met, but in the end they created a new island.
This shade of red for Artyom, I tried to find a middle ground between this specific bright red and a darker, "bloody" shade. 🩸 Red is a statement, it's a bold, energetic and captivating color. It seems pretty straightforward, but it can actually be associated with a lot of different things! Most of the time it's love, passion, irritation, hatred, blood. Also joy, celebration and action. How conflicting and complex. There's something indomitable about this color. I think it can be associated with pride, but it may be at someone else's expense; red is a color of victory, but if you won, it means that someone had to lose. Besides, it's a "stop" color, the color of authority.
Tumblr media
And dark blue for Nikita, so dark it looks almost black. I don't know, there's a scary depth to this color, like the sea at night. The water may look calm, but who knows what's in the depths, or maybe a random big wave is about to come, you never know. Or it's the feathers of some kind of bird (or some other object). If you look at them from a different angle and in sunlight, you'll see that in fact the color is not as simple as it seems. 🌊 Blue gives off melancholic vibes, but the darker it is, the more it's not just sadness, but prolonged depression; the closer it is to black, the closer it is to death (and black is not a color, it's the absence of color ☝🏻🤓). At the same time it's a pretty peaceful, easy on the eyes color, but not groundbreaking. It's associated with trust, reliability and stability (stability for some, stagnation for others).

List down your top 20 favorite shows plzzz
Okay here
20. Recess (It was on one of those Disney channels i forgot which one)
19. Robotomy (It didn't last long on Cartoon Network. I personally think it's kinda overhated and you can watch the entire series on YouTube under 2 hours or something)
18. The Weekenders (And I remember seeing it ON Disney Channel so... yeah)
17. Danny Phantom (Yep, we all know this was on Nickelodeon.)
16. Yin Yang Yo (This WAS on Jetix before it became Disney XD)
15. Canimals (I think I saw it on Netflix.. I'm not so sure..)
14. Kid VS Kat (It was also on Jetix/Disney XD. I HATE how people say it's a ripoff of Invader Zim)
13. Catscratch (A show on Nickelodeon that none of my friends ever talk about)
12. Mr. Trance (Listen okay, i don't know if this was on TV or not. I just found the episodes on YouTube. But DAMN that guy is hot AF)
11. Fillmore (Yes. That 2000s show from Disney Channel)
10. King Star King (Hate me all you want. I don't care. I can love what I want. This is SO gonna anger the little babies on YouTube)
9. Invader Zim (One of the only shows on Nickelodeon that scared kids shitless)
8. Metalocalypse (This. One of the best shows on Adult Swim)
7. Ruby Gloom (Never thought I'd see a show like this in seventh place to being my favorite)
6. The Mighty B (A show on Nickelodeon. And I loved it. I also loved bees a lot so yeah)
5. The Venture Bros (Made me laugh many times, enjoying it all. This was another one of those goated shows on Adult Swim)
4. Pucca (Best thing to ever air on Jetix)
3. Helluva Boss (I know I know, it's a show on YouTube with a creator that got into drama or some shit. I don't care.)
2. Ni Hao Kai Lan (It was one of the best things when i was younger. Augh i wanna learn Chinese so bad but it's so hardddd)
1. Superjail (Yet ANOTHER one of the best shows on Adult Swim hands down and my favorite one too. I'M GLAD I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT)
And as a bonus, I'm doing least favorites too
20. Cyberchase (This somehow scared me as a kid. Also story time, I was in music class in I think 1st grade and we were gonna watch something. The teacher literally puts on Cyberchase. That's a show about math. Why turn it on in music class??)
19. Bluey (Don't hate on me for this one.)
18. Breadwinners (Wow. The amount of butt jokes crack me up a bit, but also make me disturbed at the same time)
17. Robotboy (Okay, nobody saw this coming.)
16. Lilo and Stitch: the series (I personally like the movies more)
15. Villainous (This? Idk. I just hated it)
14. Adventure Time (NOBODY saw this coming either)
13. Zoey 101 (This was pretty unfunny to me. And you KNOW what Dan Schneider did)
12. Family Guy (Listen y'all, the classic seasons were good and the jokes got more and more unfunny as the show went on)
11. Hilda (I watched only a few episodes and didn't like it)
10. SpongeBob SquarePants (The classic seasons were good but over time it got more and more annoying. Like it's 99.9 fucking percent of the Nickelodeon schedule now)
9. Unikitty (I'm sorry to some people)
8. South Park (Aired on Comedy Central since I think the 90s? It just didn't sit well with me. Don't hate on me for it. I'm looking at you [R])
7. Growing Up Creepie (I had a fear of bugs when i was younger, and all of that)
6. Ollie's Pack (I didn't like it and all of that)
5. Rick and Morty (Ugh, i have a friend who says this is better than any other adult show. And besides, what's so special about it?)
4. Grojband (I just don't get the appeal of it.)
3. The Fairly Oddparents (Okay, I know I said I like the creator's other show but this? I just don't like it)
2. The Loud House (Oh. My. Fucking. God. Okay, I'm pretty sure y'all know how depraved the fandom is.)
1. Totally Spies (Seriously, like what the fuck is this? I couldn't even get through the first season without hating it. Not to mention most if not all episodes have some kind of weird fetish in it, making women look more like sex dolls than humans)

Biggest mistake of Miraculous Ladybug was putting a lot less emphasis on the Yin Yang/ balance theme (in terms of character devalopment. Marinette and Cat boy, whichever version of him, being opposites in nature yet compliment and learn from each other).
Do you agree?
From how the show ended up being, I get the vibe that TA never really wanted to write Ladybug & Chat Noir... and just wanted to write Ladybug. It was like that at inception and even now LB is given an absurd amount of focus and importance, despite that initial stretch of development and S1 implying that they are a Yin-Yang Dynamic.
IIRC, the Black Cat miraculous is eventually demoted to "just another miraculous", even though its later shown that Plagg and Tikki are the same person split in two like a reverse Gem Fusion or some kind of Tuvix thing. The show keeps implying that they are on the same wavelength- equal but opposite in power: but they are so very clearly not as.. like I said, The Ladybug miraculous- and Ladybug by extension, is the single most important player in the game.
(There's an easy remedy that would justify the reason as to why the cat and bug HAVE to be active at the same time: Each has their own power and the ability to dispel akuma. and then make the miraculous cure into a combo move that must be performed together. To prevent widespread destruction and minimize loss of life, it must be this particular duo of miraculous. But as of now, and assumedly forever, the black cat does not need to be a part of the equation- and it would theoretically be safer to hide away the cat so that if the bug is compromised, the fate of the world may be saved: even if Paris cannot be.)
The frustration at loss of that yin-yang/opposites attract dynamic isn't an insistence that LB be should be overshadowed or overthrown in her own show- as many often claim. I've seen MANY takes and videos that insist that Adrien should be the star of the show- and while I agree that Adrien should be more proactive than reactive, I can deffo argue otherwise. He (and cat noir as extention) can exist as an intriguing deuteragonist and not dethrone LB- there is a reason Belle is the main character and not the Beast.. consider Lilo and Stitch? and of these characters, who have the stories more intertwined and intimate with the conflict at hand? Beast has the darker backstory, Stitch is more intertwined with the conflict- as it's about HIM specifically. But they are not the Protagonists. Belle and Lilo are because their movies are about them. Marinette's story isn't interesting. She has no genuine conflict. She has no uncle ben moment. She has no drive to be anything more. Even her relationship with her bullies isn't supplemented with a "I'm different or weird" conflict. She's the perfect little girl. She's good at everything, she's a prodigy. Her clumsiness is charming.
TLDR: The story would be better if they did have a yin/yang thing. Opposites- (they don't have to be enemies!) and realy played into the love square as a conflict and a back-and forth. If ML wants to tell an overarching story, then characters must grow to be interesting.
The story would also be better if Chat Noir did not exist at all, because we would waste less time trying to make a character fit in a story where he is not welcome. But I don't think it would be popular without him. Not when people are horny for adrien.

Hello, have you told us what Splodyhead, Yapper, Sinker does in Stitch and Ani, and what do other confirmed experiments do? For example Kixx, Slushy, Sparky, Richter, Yin, Yang, Cannonball?
Doverstar No? We don't have to. The show Lilo and Stitch: the Series told you exactly where they are and what they're doing. They're in their homes, using their primary functions for the good of the island and other people! They're happily part of a really big Ohana.

Scenario continuation with dialogue- HIM's eyes started to glow as the ice started to melt more quickly. Oh he's furious.
Slushy took a deep breath and let out a stronger blast of ice at HIM, trying to stop the melting. "Find Yin!" Jumba said. Freezing the water that experiment fires should help...
"Alright," Lilo said, her and Stitch running off to try and find Yin.

Experiment 502
Yang
Primary function: To spout balls of lava
He is designed to attack people by shooting fire balls of lava from the spouts on his back. He can also heat solid ground beneath his feet. Jumba believed that he and Experiment 501 (Yin) would be immensely destructive together and create giant explosions if they ever touched.
Instead, it turned out they work together perfectly and creatively: together, they can make new rock, land and islands. As a result, their names are derived from the concept of yin and yang; in Yang's case his name stems from the force of yang, which is associated with masculinity, fire, and heat, fitting his nature.
One true place: Creating a new island with Experiment 501 (Yin)

🌺Happy (official) 20th anniversary, Lilo & Stitch!🥳
Twenty years ago today, Disney released Lilo & Stitch to theaters. Filled with strange yet lovable characters, it became one of Disney's most unique and beloved animated films and started a successful franchise that has seen three animated sequels, three different animated TV series, and several other spin-off media.
To kick off this special 20th Anniversary Stitch Week, I would like to share the full cover of our upcoming 20th anniversary fanzine, which we will release on June 26th, a.k.a. Stitch Day! This cover is inspired by the original home media (VHS and DVD) cover for the original film. Hang loose, 'ohana! 🏄🤙
Tumblr media
We also have a logoless version of the cover for you to appreciate.
