Initial Idolized Smile Rs *μ's*

When it comes to initial Rs, this swimsuit set is easily my favorite! The classic outfits and the unique, older artstyle really gets to me.

#9 Hoshizora Rin

This card doesn’t have any particular flaws, but it leaves much to be desired. Rin’s outfit is so cute, and it makes you wish that her pose was more engaging! This card definitely has my favorite outfit, so it’s a shame the card is so lackluster. It’s a card that doesn’t really have anything wrong with it, but could have been much, much more.

#8 Kousaka Honoka

Another low placing for Honoka! Unlike last time though, I really have no qualms with this card. It’s just the least engaging of the set in my eyes, so unfortunately it’s placing low. I do appreciate how dynamic the pose is, and her hair looks great! Outside of that, the card has little to offer.

#7 Sonoda Umi

Umi’s card is just... boring! Her hair is gorgeous and draws your eye in, but the rest of the card is plain and uninteresting. While her expression is interesting, it is all around fairly dull. Her pose is definitely the least interesting. It is cute that it looks like she’s making a finger gun. Her bust is definitely not that large though. All around not a bad card, but not a particularly interesting one either!

#6 Yazawa Nico

Nico’s card is definitely cute and displays her character well, but is one of the least interesting of this set in my opinion. Her pose is just her unidolized one with more sass, and her pose and expression aren’t particularly engaging. Her painted nails are cute and unique, however, boosting this card up a bit. Her pigtails look a little lopsided if you stare at them long enough.

#5 Toujou Nozomi

Nozomi’s expression is unique, cute, and portrays her character! A definite win in my book. Her hair is drawn gorgeously, and the little double ahoge poking out is adorable. Her right hand is a great idea, but has horrid execution.

#4 Ayase Eli

Eli’s card is great! Except for one thing; her arms are far too long and skinny! If it wasn’t for this the card would make the second spot easily. Her hair is drawn beautifully, her expression is pretty, and her pose is unique and dynamic. There isn’t much to complain about!

#3 Koizumi Hanayo

Hanayo’s card is very cute. Her looks very pretty and the headband fits it well. Her pulling on the edge of her skirt is adorable and fits her character very well. Her expression is cute and her outfit is cute... what more could you ask for? A solid Hanayo.

#2 Nishikino Maki

Maki’s card displays her unqiue appeal and cool attitude incredibly well. Her face is soft yet expressive, and her hair is positioned very well. The pose is unique and very cool, and her sunglasses add a cute tint to the card to make it fit in better with the rest. All around a great card.

#1 Minami Kotori

Kotori’s card is adorable. Her pose is cute and fun, and very fitting for the beach theme! Her expression is adorable and conveys lots of emotion, and her hair is very pretty (Although the positioning of it is still a little off)! The overalls are a unique choice for Kotori, and her outfit really helps to seal the deal on this adorable card!

Overall Score: 4/5

The idolized starters are fun and cute! Most of the original cards are lacking, but this set is doing something right! There isn’t a card in this set I dislike. When it comes to old cards, this set takes the cake.
