Last week was a lot of fun. I was able to make another set of ideas for Lazada. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it to work because of class. I sent my ideas to sir Keno Enriquez through e-mail, trying to fit in as much of what I have learned from the previous pitches as I can. Hearing how the creatives come up with ideas, and seeing firsthand what pitches are like, was a really good experience.

Last week at work, I presented my campaign idea for PCOS to Sir Joey Ong. The brief sent to me through e-mail made me realize just how important research is when coming up with new ideas. It was also a really nice feeling working on this, because it made me feel that ads really could be a medium to change the world for the better. I also experienced creating story ideas for Insular Life. I struggled a bit when it came to designing the character and making him relatable, but it was a good learning experience.

Last week was amazing! I was able to attend a seminar by Ms. Angel Antonio and Ms. Sue Dimacali, where I learned about the importance of balancing life with work, and the importance of client relationships. I was also able to help create logos for DigiBayanihan, and pitch for Check Me Out. It was a great experience, and I hope to keep on learning from this.

Last week, we had a talk about copywriting. I found it incredibly interesting, and I’m glad I was able to attend. I learned about the kind of ads we should be making, and the things to remember when copywriting (such as clarity, focal point and context). We were also able to researched about different campaigns for an upcoming pitch. Through that, I was able to see how great ideas could be made.

Last week, I learned about the difference between an idea and a prescription. I learned that strategy is very important. I learned that you must be observant. The world if filled with ideas. We just need equip ourselves to see it. All of this, I understood through the creative workshop about strategy given to us by Sir Miguel Ramos. I felt so blessed to have learned from someone in the industry itself.

Last week, I was only able to attend one day of work because of family trips planned ahead of time. However, through this, I learned about the importance of being professional. In order for me to take my leave, I cannot just disappear. I need to inform my boss at least two days before.
Also, we had free lunch Mondays! I'm very impressed by the discipline of the people in the office, especially with how they would line up and wash their own plates.

I really like how the office is laid out in a way that fosters creativity. I also really like observing how everyone works. My first week was light, but I learned many things.
I got to help with visual pegs, and I got to speak and gain insight from one of the company’s storyboard artists. Also, because I had a lot of free time, I was able to make something with Adobe Illustrator.
