Immortal Samsara is in my top 5 favorite dramas of all time and it's because Cheng Yi and his acting. He made me think he was ACTUALLY in love with her. He was so passionate and hot.

Something something parallels with Tang Zhou in Immortal Samsara deciding to use up his spiritual power with a grand display of fireworks so he can die along with the person who cursed him, and him telling Yan Dan “Just let me indulge myself/be reckless this one time”, and Li Lianhua in the bamboo forest doing his sword dance despite how using his martial arts hastens his death, because he wants to pick up his sword and enjoy performing with it one more time before dying.
