it was so funny and interesting to learn that I'm the lowest (i.e. poorest) kind of ✨интеллигенция✨ because I'm a teacher's daughter
#had to read a post from the girl I follow for theatre and art.#I basically learned that she's a part of what we call ✨the golden youth✨ which is how we call rich kids that have no care about anything#she's upper (and I mean like UPPER) middle class. she never experienced poverty. she got the best kind of education.#in fact she got almost ridiculously aristocratic education.#she's also a known socialite who has a very decadency vibe about her (which she acknowledges and calls herself 'Madonna of Decadence')#and you know what this post was about? she talked about how only now she understands how her gilded world is falling apart and rotting.#and I was like BITCH YOU NEVER HAD TO LOOK DOWN AND LEARN THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO NEVER EVEN WERE A PART OF YOUR WORLD.#NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO GET RESOURCES THAT YOU HAD.#YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING SOCIALITE WORLD IS A GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE STANDING ON ITS BROKEN LEG.#it's crazy how we're supposed to be a part of the same class since we're ✨интеллигенция✨#yet I'm closer to the working class that she does not understand and won't ever be a part of
