“It’s solitaire, but with different kinds of cereal,” Fred explained. “I’m thinking I market it as the Edible Game of the Future, I make a bunch of money, and I sweep you off your feet with my fortune so that we can live happily ever after in a dream house by the beach with lots of cats. And–ooh, birds! I definitely also want birds.”

Willow nodded slowly. “Okay, sweetie,” she said finally, sitting down next to Fred. “First off, I love you, so the whole sweeping-me-off-my-feet-with-your-fortune thing really isn’t something you need to worry about.”

“Ooh, good,” said Fred with relief. “Because the legal issues with trying to sell cereal products already made by a different company is gonna cost a heck of a lot to work through.”

Willow smiled with loving my-girlfriend’s-a-dork adoration. “Teach me how to play?” she inquired.
