i haven't mentioned it specifically but I think a lot of pokemon like. Romanticize the idea of dragon types? Especially "pseudo legendary" ones.. it's actually a part of why so many pokemon were initially drawn to garchomps family's training facility...

And i think gible actually had a few friends before eon but they were all only drawn to him bc he was a "cool" and "strong" dragon type and they thought he would be a lot... "Awesomer" than he was...his mom was also a bit distrustful of "regular" pokemon wanting to get closer w them beyond student-teacher type relationships bc of a bad experience she had... And I think that's why even tho gible has always had more of an interest in statistics and researching stuff that his family was trying to get him more involved in their facility as a kid. Bc they at least knew he would be able to find good work in their field...

Hell, garchomps ex wife was only interested in him bc she saw him as more of a stepping stone than anything. A lot of pokemon saw him as at least a little desirable just bc he was a dragon type... And I think that's a big part of why ditto could never understand him. And even had a hard time not resenting him for his close relationship w eon a little....bc in her mind she thought "he could have anyone and instead he has to cling to the /only/ pokemon who can love me the way I am..."

Reinforcement....

Not only is it super flimsy, but it's vaguely sticky from boot glue. Unpleasant. We can Fix This

Just a basic stitch all around, until I get to the other side. Then, I attached the stitching to the little tab here (ladder stitch, kind of), since another thing is this strip feels like it could be torn off with enough force.... which........ for where the bracelet clasps. Not ideal! 😓 Tied it off on the tab, too.

Comparison!!!!! Not pictured: violently stabbing and slicing the eyelet. The material is sturdy enough/flexible that like, I think adding extra stitching there would be a net detriment (as well as a pain in the ass....)

Tools used! Not including the dart, but I can't recommend repurposing a dart enough for Stabbing Things. The blue pliers work as wire cutters, which also works on stubborn fabric. If you're having trouble getting a sewing needle through tough fabric, the other pliers are a life saver! Potentially a needle saver too....

Final results! The stitching is very subtle, BUT I think it adds So Much visually too.... I really like when you can tell someone has made an accessory by hand! Obvs there's plenty of handmade things that are super clean on a professional level quality (WHICH! VERY COOL!) but I also really like the amateurish quality!!! Adds a sort of roughness to it! 🫡😊

Young Royals S3! 💜 They're coming back to us, one more time. More golden Wilmon moments! More kisses, more hugs, more forehead touches, maybe fish scene pt 2. There's still more trials and tribulations to come but now they'll get through it together and we'll get to see their happy ending! Can't wait. 💜

I epoxied a crescent-shaped pin back together at work today. the epoxy takes an hour or two to actually set solid.

one of the florists wondered what I was gluing. I waved her over to the pin and said, 'it needs to sit for a while because the moon is. the. the moon is setting.' and she very nearly hit me. that's fair.
