My car BROKE and the piece that isnt working is HAHA like 600$ to replace, plus labor costs, plus costs to look at tje car (380$ to make sure which piece it is and get it pulled apart, plus probably another 100$+ to get it replaced n fixed)

i work until midnight xmas eve, so i cant get a ride w my grandparents to get the three hours home for xmas

and i dont know how id get BACK even bc i have work the 27th, and still, no Car.

mmm so also i keep forgetting to take my meds this past week? because retail is hell? so at might i keep getting SAD and UNHAPPY and WEIRD and LONELY

did i mention i havent eaten in like a day bc im too tired to make smth bc i.. dun dun dun, havent eaten?

I don't celebrate Christmas Dec 25th, but rather Jan 7th but I rarely tell people that because they either seriously don't believe me and/or it's just not the worth the hassle if I'm already off that day on the schedule lol Everyone wishes me a merry xmas and I wish them one right back... and hey, if people want to bring in free food for me to eat then please... merry xmas to EVERYONE who brings me food. It's more of the fact that people get SO mad when you don't tell them merry xmas at the register but at the same time DEMAND you work on xmas to cater to them and THEIR xmas. It's fucking stupid to assume that everyone who comes through my line DOES celebrate xmas, just like it's fucking stupid to assume everyone working on xmas/xmas eve etc DOESN'T celebrate xmas. Do people not realise that alot of companies/store threaten termination if you don't work major holidays? That's literally how some companies stay open on these days because everyone would just call out or no call no show. 

I'm probably just overly angry because I'm also sick but.... two annoying stories here, and a lil cute one at the end :)

Was working today (xmas eve) around 11am this guy comes in for a gift card. There's a few of us at the register because we're over staffed and no one's really in (yet). The girl next to me makes an off handed comment like, "wow i'm surprised how many people are out shoping on xmas eve" since we're a niche store (it was basically all giftcard sales so far today) and this guy I'm checking out turns to her and in the most condesending tone goes, "Well some of US work during the week so we can only shop on the weekends" like my co-worker was in the wrong for simply being surpised there was people shoping. She wasn't mad or passive aggressive or ANYTHING at ALL. (In fact she's kinda air-headed so I don't really think she has an intentional mean bone in her body.)

o-k BUDDY but xmas isn't always on/connected to a weekend, what are you going to go in future years when xmas is Tuesday-Friday? Not give people gifts??? And it wasn't like he was buying an item or anything, just a gift card! We sell giftcards like 363 days of the year (we only close 3 major holidays) AND we sell e-gift cards 365 days of they year. We even sell physical giftcards online that can be mailed to your house- so next excuse PLEASE. 

And last but certainly not least why the FUCK you gotta imply my job is any less important than yours because I'm in on a Sunday? If I WASN'T here you wouldn't have gotten your gift card how about THAT? Also how about yes I work Satuday and Sunday... but I also work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, AND FRIDAY. Sometimes all in a ROW. Sometimes TWICE all in a row. Sometimes twice and a HALF all in one row because I've worked 17 days in a row once. Some days I work double shifts which means I work both day AND night. In fact....  I think I "work" MORE than you, BUDDY!!!

Occasionally our seasonal works still get confused on returns especially if I customer used store points AND coupons and are trying to do an exchange. Had a co-worker trying to help a woman do a pretty confusing exchange and when I had a free moment of customers I popped over to try and help her. I was pointing to the screen and telling real quick how to do it (I fixed it, and then was just telling her what I did. Maybe 2 sentances max) and this lady goes:

"Is there anyone in this store that actually knows what their doing? Where are the managers?? I need to get OUT of here, I'm in a rush. I've got people waiting. Is there anyone older working here? Probably not today right? They just let all the kids out to play today probably while the adults stay home with their families. You guys don't have families so you wouldn't understand that I need to get this finished so I can go home and be with them on X M A S E V E.  ABSURD!!!"

Does this lady think... I like... fell off an alien spaceship flying overhead and just happened to break through the roof of this store and staring tapping buttons on the register that I don't know what xmas eve is, or recognize it's importance?? 

I really really hate people who are stuck so far up their own ass they don't know what's reality anymore or not. Not that it's any of her own business but I'm going to be 24 really soon and even though I DON'T have any kids, how does she KNOW I don't?  because we all know that's what she was implying by "not having families". You can make up stories about my life all you want that's fine but keep it inside your head, the minute you start trying to use YOUR FANTASY VERSION OF ME against me we're going to have a problem. If she's so concerned with going home to her kids she could have sympathy for MY mom who DOESN'T ge to see me, HER KID. Like my rant in the first part of this long long submition...  don't fucking ASSUME I don't have Christmas plans or a fucking family (?????????????????????????????????) because I'm standing here smiling at the register.

When she finaly shut the fuck up I literally handed her recipet and was like it's all set, have a great day. I was done maybe 3 minutes earlier but she just wouldn't shut the fuck up and open her eyes at me standing there with her bag packed, and recipet in my hand waiting for her to leave.

Just a cute little thing: a few days ago it was raining/slushing/icing pretty bad outside and one of my co-worker's grandma surprised her at the end of her shift by showing up to our store to start/clean off her car for her and to follow her home to make sure she got home safe. I love grandmas!!! =)

Also bonus points to the lady who came through my register today and went "mer- happy holidays!!" to me as she was leaving. I hopes she finds a dollar in her car or something. =))!!
