"Original aircraft" in a sense that it's not a derivative of real life aircrafts, so the likes of MiG-33 (AC3) and ATD-0 (ACI) aren't included.

Hey sophie! when you have the time could you rate some of the original ace combat planes like the X-02 Wyvern, the ADF-01 falken, the XFA-24a apalis, the XFA-27, the XR-45 caliburn, and the XFA-33 fenrir?

the X-02 looks like a bootleg Su-57. Also uh. those forward swept wings that somehow retract into the inboard wing are a travesty to engineering

the ADF-01 just looks fucked. it’s the YF-23 if it were something made by witches.

the XFA-24a looks kind and trustworthy compared to all the other super fucked ace combat planes. that said, ace combat sure loves its podded engine nacelles huh. also the wings absolutely don’t need those fuckhuge notches

the XFA-27 is a little uncomfortable to look at and i can’t describe how. it has all these weird angles and stuff

I profoundly dislike everything about the XR-45. it’s so fucked. nothing makes sense from any design perspective and it’s so messy that even rule of cool starts to get compromised. also the nose air intake is really something, and i don’t think that something is good. the XR-45 is such an unsettling plane because nothing at all about it makes sense

overall the XFA-33 is alright, but the longer you look at it the more questions you have. most notably, what the fuck is up with that big prong under the nose. also why does it have three engines. also i can’t imagine it has any static directional stability whatsoever which probably doesn’t matter with all-aspect SAS but still, it’s kinda fucked. i am rather amused by the tail surfaces being mounted out on the wing though

昨日からエースコンバットX始めたけどめっちゃ楽しいねあのゲーム。さすがZEROと6の間に出たエースコンバットなだけあるわ……。

ゲームとしてのかっこよさとか爽快感がもう完璧に💮。ミッションの分岐のさせ方が最高に面白い。アパリスたん(XFA-24A)たんとソラーノくんが可愛い。
