November Annabella Terra, call sign "Nova", a.k.a. "Agent X41822N", is a ghost agent and the protagonist of the StarCraft: Ghost sub-series.⁠ ⁠ Nova is the daughter of one of the highly influential Confederate Old Families; despite having unusually high psionic potential her father prevents her from being taken into the Confederate Ghost Program. However, after her family is murdered by an anti-Confederate resistance movement, Nova flees to the undercity of Tarsonis, where she is forced to work as an organized crime enforcer. Nova is rescued during the Zerg invasion of Tarsonis, and ends up in the possession of the newly formed Terran Dominion, who train her as a ghost. At her request, her past memories are erased.⁠ ⁠ Nova also appears as a playable character in the crossover video game Heroes of the Storm. In the game, she is a ranged assassin who can ambush enemies from stealth. Her strongest point is her exceptional long-ranged single-target burst damage. In addition, she is able to use "holographic decoys" to confuse and distract the enemy, as one of her three primary abilities. Her baseline ability "ghost protocol" can be activated to instantly grant stealth to Nova. Full name: November Annabella Terra. Alias: Agent X41822N, Nova. Gender: Female; afab. Birthday: August 9th. Orientation: Pansexual, romance-repulsed. Physical Description Species: Terran / Human. Height: 5'6, 167 cm. Skin color: Turned pale from too much time in the shadows; still, freckly. Hair color: Shade of golden blonde. Hair length: Quite long, extending past her waist when in a tall ponytail. A sign of skill. Eye color: Naturally green; over-use of psionic ability has since burnt them icy blue. Equipment: C-40 Canister rifle, Ghost Armor. Psyche Virtues: Skill, empathy, diligence, subtlety. Vices: Wrathfulness, self-superiority. Desires: Keep Koprulu safe, in ways the Dominion can’t. Major fears: Losing her mind, becoming powerless. and the ocean. fuck the ocean Likes: Seclusion, pastries, sex, clubs, ugly dogs. Dislikes: People who try to discourage her, failing, bullies, small dogs. Perception: Pragmatic, realist. Even through her ghost training (before the memory wipe) Nova's personality generally remained the same throughout her late teen years. She possessed a degree of empathy that was generally lacking in the Old Families (a trait that did not go unnoticed) and believed in the concept of fair play, or at least had an aversion to "cheating" (eg. considered attaching gliders to her shoes at her birthday to walk elegantly to be "cheating"). Although willing to deal death to those she believed to deserve it (e.g. Fagin and Cliff Nadaner), she wanted to avoid harming those who fell outside this definition (she did not want to harm Fagin's associates and regretted having to dispatch the rest of Nadaner's group). As of becoming a full fledged ghost, after undergoing a memory wipe, Nova's personality became colder. Additionally, although she underwent a memory wipe, Nova remains psychologically scarred by the murder of her family and has trouble connecting to people as a result. Not that she particularly desired to, however—for the most part, she was content to be regarded as a merciless killer and remain isolated from her fellow men, not wanting to forge attatchments that could be broken. Kelerchian noted in their Altaran reunion however that she'd become more open from when he'd last seen her. Nova later noted that Kelerchian himself was "the only man who meant anything to her." As a child, Nova had a liking for cranberries. She dislikes sushi.
